For the exhaust tubing, a lot of muffler shops may let you rifle through their scrap, and you can get a lot of it from salvage yards too, so there's no need to buy exhaust pipe kits.
Boosted v6s are such a nice middle finger to the modding community. My coworker has a 3900 Impala thats about to be boosted. Nobody knows that the 3900 accepts LS parts so its going to be the ultimate sleeper.
Awesome builds I’m very excited to see the comparison of twin versus single on 3.8 and also I would be interested in a hot side ac turbo manifolds and what cold side intake couplers were those they looked nice right now I’m building a 3.8 on a nitrous express wet kit wanna see how that compares
I made a couple hot side kits a while back. Everybody said they would buy one until I actually made them, then apparently nobody had money. Needless to say I don't make them any more
Has it held up without forged internals? How much boost have you been running at? I've heard staying below 12lbs should be ok with stock internals but not many people mess with the 3.8 so its hard to get a good data set on how well it holds up.
I ran about 8 psi for a couple months until I sold the car. A buddy of mine had the same setup and ran 8 psi for six or seven months untuned before it decided to blow. He railed on it everywhere
Clean build, I used your videos a lot when building mine. Did you use any of the factor O2 sensors in the exhaust at all or just the wideband? Also did you hook up your wideband to the sct tuner or just run it as just a gauge
Dude ive been building open source speeduino ECU's for builds like this, Churbo kits for the V6 camaro /firebird and windsor 302 swaps for the V6 cars. Tuner Pros "self tune" feature on their paid version is tits on glass for turbo builds
Are you able to delete both the O2 sensors? I was under the impression you needed the upstream one. I know absolutely nothing. I’m just looking for information.
My 3.8 single port i ran passenger side exhaust under the trans across up the driver side over the steering shaft under the manifold out to the side cut my powersteering pump down im almost finished with the build have a few odds and ends to tie but i do have some questions hopefully you are able to answer 1. The tiny sensor from your prior video with it taped infront of the maf sensor how did you deal with that 2.do you have a pt.# for the wideband 02 you used? Currently in the stage of doing the hoses gauges tightening everything up any tips or advice you could give would be appreciated i wiah i had stumbled upon your page a month ago when i started this haha
I believe i need to swap my injectors aswell i have 14lb in there currently as there the stocks was gonna take the 21lb injectors from my 01 split port and put them in if necessary As well did you use the handheld 7015 sct x4?
I have all the parts to put on my 3.8 mustang to turbo but I was wondering if you have had any problems with overheating? and if so how did you fix it?
Hey man! I’m super interested in this, and was looking to build a turbod v6 myself. Is there anyway I could get in touch with you? Maybe obtain some information?
@@yellowshopbuilds I had a brain fart I’m not car smart either so UA-cam been best friend I’m talking about the thing on top of the engine that said 3.8 fuel injection
Do u no if any one makes the pasnger header that clears on its own getting that header made custom from a shop is close two 700 bucks 😅🙏 I'm doing the same exact thing with a slight smaller turbo I plane on 9.5 10 lb of boost still the last car it was on was pushing 18 I would pay u to make the exhaust header u got on the passenger trying to keep ac I be in AZ
I ended up selling the car, the new owner pulled the turbo kit and put it in his car. Our first turbo V6 (un-tuned) lasted around 6 months at 8psi. Driven very hard too
Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re pretty much the main UA-camr for 3.8 owners as of right now and actually out interesting content!
🙏 I appreciate it
you need to check out "Mustang v6 Tech Support" 's channel! his builds are crazy
Oh this comment didn't age well. lol

You need to start selling kits, much respect bro. I'm still in the building stage 😂
Lol watch my latest video

more than 10 years ago I built a silver 01 in Florida. It made 623whp on an SC61 and a 75 shot. I miss it. I have to dig up the videos somewhere.
Please let us know when you find it

All the cold side pieces are basic couplers and IC piping
Would 100% buy a kit or at least the manifolds. I have a take of turbo from a 5.9 Cummins I want to use for a build on my 3.8
That would be awesome
Bro bout to blow that mf at 20 psi lmao
If you made this as a turbo kit I would instantly buy your kit
I made a couple hot side kits a while back. Everybody said they would buy one until I actually made them, then apparently nobody had money. Needless to say I don't make them any more

@ Thanks, I plan on swapping a thunderbird super coupe super charger on my 95 but I’ll be getting it tuned.
Do you think if I ran the exhaust out the back and put the cats back on it would pass emissions?
Yeah
3.8 cams are good for 1997-2008 f150 4.2l fyi comp cam has some good.
How large are the turbos on the red car and if you'd share what are the dyno numbers?
Thanks
Turbos are small, off a 3000gt vr4. It made 305 to the wheels on 14psi
How many ponies you pushing my dude and btw I love the mustang
Not sure yet
@@yellowshopbuilds which kit would or should I buy. Or what are you going with. In this. Specific car..lovely job.. nice
Awsome build keep it up bro

Long live the V6 Mustang and the Churbo!!
Great work!
Clean build, I used your videos a lot when building mine. Did you use any of the factor O2 sensors in the exhaust at all or just the wideband? Also did you hook up your wideband to the sct tuner or just run it as just a gauge
Never used O2 sensors. Used the wideband as just a gauge.
have you had any complications not having o2 sensors?
@@yellowshopbuilds
No
Nice work... Wonder how it'll compare in power and response to the twin turbo?!
I suppose we shall see! I have a feeling it'll make more power 🤷♂️
So if ditching the a/c, the pass side manifold can remain stock?
Dude ive been building open source speeduino ECU's for builds like this, Churbo kits for the V6 camaro /firebird and windsor 302 swaps for the V6 cars. Tuner Pros "self tune" feature on their paid version is tits on glass for turbo builds
no blow off valve?
How did you flip the passenger header? mine doesn't flip, the shock strut tower is in the way.
Options
1: hammer the tower
2: hammer the manifold
3: modify the manifold
@@yellowshopbuilds do you think I could heat the header and bend it?
No
General question.... ok.... WHERE IS THE RADIATOR FAN????
Attached to the radiator
Are you able to delete both the O2 sensors? I was under the impression you needed the upstream one. I know absolutely nothing. I’m just looking for information.
I didn't use any of the OEM O2 sensors
@@yellowshopbuilds thanks
Damn dude it Look so good.
🙏 I appreciate it
Did you just weld the hot side pipes??
Need a limited slip diff
What are you doing for fueling / injectors / fuel pump
It was stock. All stock
Did you ever get it tuned? How did you increase fuel?
Did not get this one tuned. It would fuel dump at fuel throttle on its own. Factory injectors are enough for low boost
My 3.8 single port i ran passenger side exhaust under the trans across up the driver side over the steering shaft under the manifold out to the side cut my powersteering pump down im almost finished with the build have a few odds and ends to tie but i do have some questions hopefully you are able to answer 1. I just bought an AEM uego wideband and gauge kit.
As far as the sensor, you referring to the iat?
Yes the iat and i just got the same A/F gauge kit with the wideband today
I believe i need to swap my injectors aswell i have 14lb in there currently as there the stocks was gonna take the 21lb injectors from my 01 split port and put them in if necessary

Running a 72mm turbo if you want to see pictures or videos let mw know how i can send them to you hoping to fire it up finally this thursday/friday
You most definitely need bigger injectors!
do you think I could heat the header and bend it?
have you tried different location for the MAF? I heard that it's best to have a least some length of straight run upstream from the MAF?
This one did have stock injectors. I did not try different locations for the maf, I did not seem to have any issues with its location where it was
What maf did you use? And size
I have all the parts to put on my 3.8 mustang to turbo but I was wondering if you have had any problems with overheating? and if so how did you fix it?
The only time we had an overheating issue was because the coolant wasn't bled all the way. Otherwise, no issues
Where did you stick the 02 sensors??
In the trash
I want to get in touch with you I want to turbo my car without losing ac
Okay..

did you use the stock 7.5 rear end?
Stock rear end

T3 .63ar

Yes
how long they usually last?
That's not something you can put a time on

Bone stock. Handles it fine
Any idea what kind of power it actually made?
Maybe 240 on 6psi 🤷♂️
