Thank you so much for the video. I have the same year v6 an I just took the muffler off yesterday. I've been looking for a solution to straight pipe so it's not dumped under the car. Then I found this! Thank you 🙏🙏
Yeah I took my exhaust off too, and ran a $35 Extra long glasspack with a 45° downturn tip right before the axle. Got rid of like seventy five pounds of steel crap. I'm thinking about Cat delete, have you done that?
I want to do this on my mustang as well. But I don’t have the welding tools or anything like that. But when I cut the two end of the muffler, can I just attach a overdoses pipe to go over the rest of the exhaust and use a clamp instead of welding? Oversized *
@@lil_wooddale44 you can do a cat back exhaust but keep in mind that we can no longer have a car be too loud because a cop can pull us over and harass us which can lead to getting a state ref ticket.
Yours has probably been modded before since all v6 mustangs this gen don’t come with dual pipes, and yes if you check under the car it should have 2 mufflers
Comes stock auto, bought mine three days ago and I’m feeling the pain. It literally has a clutch (for looks) pedal installed for when u upgrade it to the manual
Basically what you’re saying is these Essex v6s sound like shit no matter what you do to them lol glasspacks. Straight pipe, no cats, flowmasters…I’ve heard em all. Unless you throw the 4.2 crank in, swap out the cam for some overlap, change the intake, boost it…they sound like ass lol

No problem, glad you liked it
The contained excitement has me convinced. I’m about to do my 2014 myself
I've been running this on a 99 v6 since last year. Sounds pretty good and is the right amount of loud
what did you apply to it to make it sound louder
@@Carlos-wd9xy what? It's a muffler delete. I dont have that car anymore though, sold it in july and got a GT lol
@@mikethelegend1101 i thought you still had that v6 99 mustang but any tips on on how to make a v6 loud, i have a v6 00 mustang with a muffler delete
@@Carlos-wd9xy I mean if you already have a muffler delete it should be loud. Personally I wouldn't delete anything else
@@Carlos-wd9xy cat back exhausts can make it quite a bit louder just gotta watch vids to find which one has the sound you’re looking for

Lol thx bro
Sounds awesome man! Hope you're having fun with it 😄
Hey man great video, what socket size was the bolts at 4:06? thanks.
Daddy Juan they were 14 mm
My 98 came with shorty headers installed.
Edit: Just looked it up, I guess all 94-04 v6 had them?
“Alrighty there we go”,
“Alrighty here we go”
Your video quality is amazing, what camera are you using?
ItsReallyJ it’s a canon t5i with a polarized filter
Do you have to straightpipe it or can you just cut muffler off and be fine?
No I did it to mine and the pipe clanks against the car
You can just cut it off, but remove the cut pipe muffler.
“Look how easy” how can I look at you doing it when you block the camera?
Good video though
You seen how he positioned the locks before he blocked the camera if you don’t know what to do after that then you don’t belong under a car
Thanks for the insight 💯
Are all mufflers on the 99-04 mustangs bolted in
It's crazy how much better they sound without the muffler.. like they should have came stock sounding like this 🤣
Unfortunatly they can’t since they have to comply with all 50 state regs or else most cars will sound much better
ChrisFix does a video showing the inside of one you get to really see how restrictive it is🤦🏽♂️

Rogelio Cruz you can, just cut a bit farther away from each end of the muffler to give yourself clearance so that the clamps are centered
not bad though i think dual exhaust would sound much better.
could u still pass a smog test ?
With this set up was it obnoxiously loud on the inside? Thinking about doing this on my stang 🤔
Nope, not really any drone on the highway and you can easily talk over the exhaust with the windows down but it can be plenty loud when you want it to
@@hernandez-ic9qj awesome, straight pipe it is 😁🤝
i did this same concept with my 2004 gt with the stock h pipe and now my car won’t even start
Then there's something else wrong with it
Damn bruh wtf 😭😭😭😭😭 u probably gotta take a bus to work now 💀💀💀💀
What kind of a rev was that, rev it to the limiter!

How long is the factory muffler?
Austin Purdy it’s about 16-20 inches, not exactly sure but it’s around there
Wat size bolt ?
