Thank you for yet another gem Daniel .. And to UA-cam I say "shame" like them Septas said to Queen Cersei, for not notifying me that Daniel dropped a new video 😒
@@DanielDanielsson hey man, I'm in love with your videos lol especially Arnold ones , can't wait for the next one. And is there a way to do this same effect using Arnold, because I can't find anything similar to fresnel node in Arnold 🥺 pls help
A great tutorial! I was wondering if it was possible to include the major and minor groove into this system? For those not familiar, the alpha helix of DNA is not uniform, there is a alternating pattern of a wider space between the two backbones (major groove) and a smaller space between the two backbones (minor groove)... How would one incorporate that into this method?
That's interesting. It can be done, for sure, but maybe not particularly automatically. The easiest way might be to manually space out the lines on the base plane, though it'll take a bit of time.
Thanks! You get the files; Full C4D scenes with textures, lighting and all + post production After Effects files, but I don't have a screen recording showing the full process of getting there. So just the end result.
My random effector does not affect the dna, can you help me? I clicked evrything like you showed in the video but it doesnt randomize :/ Thanks alot for this tutorial!!
what a beautiful work and video, can I ask for the name of the song of the intro and outroplease? I already have seen the name of the artist but didn´t find the exact song, it reminds me of a classical piece, can you help me please?
Psst: There's a few spots left for the season on the Process of Motion (enrolment closes 19th of May) 👉 🌱 processofmotion.com 🌱
Hey mate! Glad to see you are still killing it. Seems like a lifetime since we worked together!

Nice! Was waiting for exactly this tutorial since seeing the intro of Prometheus in the movie theatre in 2012 ;) Looks awesome!
Oh, man yeah, one of the highlights of that movie. Looks to me like they used some actual softbody magic for that one though...
Thanks for making the Standart rendered as well.
Not a bad renderer.
Hi there! Great tutorial, thank you!!! I'd like to know what did you use as basic shape for the protein? Thank you!!!
Great tut! I'd love to see a bit more of a step-by-step for the after effects stuff. In case you're after tut ideas for the future :)
Too many ideas, not enough time. XD
But that is definitely one of them.
So happy that you are on the RS..
It's pretty great. I love it (and I hate it also sometimes).
I'm not . Arnold is king
@@vfxnation6919 That's still true.

@@vfxnation6919 Oh, most definitely. Fresnel is just called Facing Ratio in Arnold. The rest is more or less the same.
omg i love you so much
This is awesome, thank you so much!
Thanks 🙌
Hell yeah remninds me so much of the DNA breakdown shot from Prometheus! (the only good part of the movie lol)
Thanks lol
very nice

awesome tutorial, do we have acces top the full process, C4d and postprod in the patreon? I have some trouble with lighting in C4d!

Are you using the Metal version of the redshift, so smooth.
Yup. (It also helps if I you fast-forward the rendering parts for momentum. 😉)

It's a version of Mozart's symphony no 40 by Will van de Crommert called "Modern Mozart". (A bit slowed down to further dank that beat.)
@@DanielDanielsson thank you, I will see
Which version of Mozart's Symphony No. 40 is the beginning BGM
It's one called Modern Mozart by Will van de Crommert
@@DanielDanielsson what a beautiful work and video,Looking forward to you creating more videos like this
Did you switch from Arnold to RS?
Not officially, but it's hard to not use RS when it comes with Maxon One. (In my heart still prefer Arnold though.)
Neat
