King Ashurnasirpal II of Assyria (reigned 883-859 BCE) is often featured in history documentaries for his role in transforming the Assyrian Empire into a major power. Known for his military prowess and architectural achievements, Ashurnasirpal II relocated the Assyrian capital to Kalhu (modern-day Nimrud) and commissioned impressive palaces and monuments, showcasing his reign's grandeur. His military campaigns were brutal, earning him a fearsome reputation, but they also significantly expanded Assyrian territory, laying the groundwork for future emperors to create one of the ancient world's most formidable empires.

The pine cone was used by farmers for pollenating dates perhaps. The pail of pollen in the apkallu's hand while enacting a directed motion symbolizes the enactment of fecundity. A blessing.

So what’s with the little bag and all the wristwatches? I’ve seen these same objects on carvings all over the world. Little bags and wristwatches and also what’s with the pinecone in their right hands in some of the reliefs? None of it makes any sense. I don’t believe that it was anything to do with rituals or pollinating flowers. Too easy. And archies always try to stay away from anything controversial. And it’s nothing can be proven or not. But I think there’s more here than meets the eye. These were a practical people as most ancients were but something smells fishy when it comes to explaining what things were and did. Not everything was a temple or a tomb. We’re someday going to have to come to grips with the existence of Power back then. They had to have more than human, wind, water, and a few of the simple machines to power the construction of all the huge infrastructure projects they managed. Wish I had a Time Machine to go back and see what they did. Oh well, we’ll just have scrape a spoonful away at a time and wait anther one or two hundred years. Unless the Aliens reveal themselves and take credit for everything that was done way back when. You never know what Zawi Hawass has stuffed away in the deepest darkest basement of the Antiquities Ministry. Or hidden away on a military base like Zawyet El Aryan. There it is then. My three cents worth.

There no aliens , but Genie as it's written in the description on every piece of carvings. At the beginning he said winged Apkallo then referred to them as Genie . I would say angel rather than Genie . No aliens at all have been or will be .

Hey Paul. Yup, we do think alike. These people didn’t carve their collective imagination on these reliefs, they carved what they were witnessing, exactly as it was presented to them. Modern humans, I believe, are far from anything close to what our ancestors were, but who truly knows the direction we’re headed? Time may tell unless it too is obscured by those in control of recording the events. Hmmm…

It's been suggested that the small "bag" is, in fact, a bucket for carrying water, a symbol of life as water is essential for all life.
Similar bags/buckets are seen in the artwork of other cultures.

@@tomt5176 Thanks Tom. I want to go into the storage rooms of these Museums just to look through what’s intentionally hidden or just forgotten. I bet they might have one or two of those objects in storage but who knows as governments control their Museums. Even the Smithsonian is being accused of hiding relevant artifacts that could prove many of our beliefs incorrect. I’m so old now I can handle anything. I just want to know. There it it is then. Thanks again.

This is the evil king Nimrod in the land of Shinar(BABYLON) of genesis 11 in the bible. research suggests that after the confusion of languages in scripture 70 tribes went 70 different directions speaking 70 different languages. Calling one man many different names. Some of those names are OSIRIS, APOLLO, NINURTA, ORION, GILGAMESH & Nimrod (nimrud)
