What a great theme for a documentary! The non-Egyptian rulers of Egypt. Enjoyed it a lot.
Egyptian Pharaoh's did the same thing to other nations, and are still doing it. ua-cam.com/video/TjIU5llstns/v-deo.html
Absolutely splendid! I just love doctor Fletcher and her passion! I cannot wait to visit Egypt again 😊
This woman is a wonderful narrator and knowledgeable historian!! I love this series!! 🔥
Such joy to learn history from a person who is so excited about it
Thank you Professor Fletcher for this and other documentaries. 💖👏💖
I love the way the camera person gets bomb shots of her admiring temples and stuff. Honestly such a dope series.
I truly enjoyed this and can watch it repeatedly. This is a journey very well explained. Also, some questions I had about Alexander were answered. Thank you.
Excellent series.we r introduced to history of Egypt in a splendid way .
This one hour of information is by far the best yet. I love everything that you present Professor Fletcher. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I love all the Egyptian series she covers! she makes it interesting and I love her style she’s great thank you 🙏
With her enthusiasm in Egypt, I can only imagine her joy when she sees gameplay of AC Origins. This game really puts old Egypt come to life.
I just love learning through her documentaries! Her style is so unique and her passion is infectious! thank you Joann Fletcher!
Thank you for presenting this history in an easy to understand way. You have a very good presentation style.
Lady Fletcher is a gem.
Learned so much through her studies
When ever I would be lucky to shake her hand and say my thanks
fisrt time seeeing joann and im already fascinated by her pasion to history
Thank you for sharing just a smidge of the knowledge you must have. Brilliant, fascinating, it's all here. Wish I'd been able to see this series before my trip to Egypt in '97. Love the graphics too.
Did u go before or after the terrorist attack in Egypt that year
I went there in 97 too. Very cool place, but I thought the people were annoying. Especially with the constant honking they do while driving.
@@Patrick3183 Before... you mean at temple of Hatsheput (or however you spell her name)... went there too
@@jamesholleman2083 It's not called "The Egyptian brake" for nothing!
A great series, really informative, new scope of looking to the ancient Egyptian civilization,,, Bravo Professor Joann, a great, attractive and innovative effort indeed
She is wonderful in the way she speaks about Egyptian history I like it so much
Stunning presentation, thank you Joann. Love your work.
I extensively toured Egypt right as covid was starting and no one there. Was amazed by the history and had no idea what I was looking at. Now, I'm watching these documentaries to explain further what I saw. Had a guide but this is much better.
Joann is fabulous. I'm from about 15 miles from her hometown so her accent is familiar and close to mine. I love her look. I love her enthusiasm and I love listening what she has to say.
oh so shes fabulous bc she talks like u do and is from same area? pffft thats how wars get started
@@stevebald3560 Who said "because"? No one, except you. Two phrases. Come on man, re-read my comment, in no way did I say I like her 'because' she's from my part of the country.
Where is she from?

🌞Seen this at least 5 times, obviously loved it. Kushite invasion is fascinating sort of like the later Hellenic era. Blending Kush and Egyptian cultures is quite cool to think about. Dr. Fletcher always has obscure content. When she pops up in my recommended, I always watch, she's never let me down. Thank you🤗
Fantastic documentary. You can really feel the host’s enthusiasm. It’s wonderful.
Best history class I ever had. Thank you so much for this documentary.
Absolutely love these videos. So fascinating. Always have been fascinated by ancient Egypt. This series goes into so much detail and are so informative in many untold stories. Thank you 😊🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
A fascinating history brought to us by a professor lady with such passion for her subject.
I truly love you documentaries, I have watch you for years. Your passion is fantastic, I am an older semretried commerical photography who as for my life time always wanted to see egypt and the Pyrimds. Not sure if it will ever happen but watching you gets me as close as I can. Keep up the good work. Victor
Go for it! I know it's not easy for everyone to go. I know you'll need a great deal of savings and/or a solid credit plan. But if it's important to you, don't leave it as a possibility; give yourself the gift. It's so worth it. Just get a good guide or read ahead and try to arrive to temples very early in the morning, when there are fewer visitors and it's not as hot--you can leave the rest of the day to explore the cities or the new museum (which is supposed to open this year).
Seriously, if it's your kind of thing, watching the sunrise from the Abu Simbel temples when there's no one around is indescribable, absolutely magical. And I'm sure you'll get amazing pictures!
I would have loved a whole episode dedicated to the Ptolemaic dynasty, they were a fabulously Interesting dysfunctional family. Joann also wrote a book called the history of Egypt, it really is super, well written and highly readable, , it’s a great introduction to the joys of Ancient Egypt.
Watching from India🇮🇳 watching this documentary with beautiful voice of this narrator took me back to back in time every bit of this visual an audio makers have exemplified the project Egypt doc impressive and fabulous😊
Marvelous documentary! I learned about all these great civilzations and I wondered what happened to them. This shows the transition to today. Excellent!
Not quite. ua-cam.com/video/TjIU5llstns/v-deo.html
Splendid! You just can’t help but enjoy a very informative and another great chapter of a Fletcher documentary 😊
Why thank you! I’m absolutely flattered 😊
Love her
I could listen to this lady talk all day. I love her voice, her accent, and how she presents.
The series is really wonderful! Incredibly informative. Thanks for this.. Dr. Fletcher is amazing.
Marvellous series 👍 and Prof Fletcher is a very engaging presenter. She certainly knows her stuff and it's great that it's accessible to all.
Why thank you. I’m flattered
This woman is amazing. Not only that but she has such a passion for Egypt!
Wow I’ve never seen a more interesting documentary on this topic! Incredible
I cant count the times I've watched this series. Its definitely my fave! I love her so much!
Awesome episode, lately im very intrigued by the Kush too, seeing this episode it made me even more interested by them, pity I haven't been in Kushite areas, but glad to even have been in Egypt some years ago...
I really enjoyed watching Dr. Fletcher in this four part series. She was so enthusiastic about bringing ancient Egypt to the viewer. Very refreshing. I hope that she does more documentaries. if she were a professor nearby, I'd sign up for her classes.
To try and comprehend the vastness of time by thinking about how Cleopatra lived closer in time to us than she did the building of the Great Pyramid.
@Lowa Case Much older than 6k if you look at recent reports and don't get hung up on the mainstream view about Egypt that is mostly outdated now
Cleopatra was an invader of Kemet. Cleopatra is a Greek and part of the Ptolomey years and the Alexander the great conquest. The land wasn't even called Eygpt at all by the original people. White people please stop trying to include yourself with these people. Your ancestors are Greeks and Romans.
@@pound4pound380 So all white peoples ancestors are Greeks or Romans, you need to learn more mate
@@dasbruce5337 yes they are. That's where you societies originated from. Your history starts their. Not in Kemet. You all try to conquer groups and erase them as if you were already there. European were still in caves during Kemet height
@@pound4pound380 1st off there were white people as you say in my country before any greek or roman so explain that
Joann is brilliant and her passion shines through
What an incredible passionate and knowledgeable presenter. This was a delight to watch, thank you so much!
Thank you so very much for this wonder journey back in time to ancient Egypt!
Oh my,this is my first time watching prof, Joan Fletcher. And she is the absolute best at making a story come to life.I feel as though i'm right there watching it unfold.Wow she's really great! Now for the rest of her documentaries.
If you love Joan, you'll also love Prof Mary Beard, who takes us through the Roman Empire. She's also a very passionate, knowledgeable and fun teacher to watch and learn from; you won't be disappointed.
@@GladysAlicea Oh!thank you I will look that up too.Have a nice day ,and again thanks.🌺🌺
@@marymcbride9134 One can learn much from history. It's the one true study that's constant, consistent and never really changes. The older I get, the more interested I become in varied histories. I only wish I'd had this revelation (or someone to guide me) in this study when I was younger...or, at the very least, to convince me of my greatest love, the history of geology. One professor gently tried but was unsuccessful. Watching diverse docs on YT, which we didn't have then, would've helped my career choices. Watch, learn and enjoy, Mary. God speed and God bless.
@@GladysAlicea Thank you I love it too,and showed my granddaughter this one by Joan, and the one by Mary Beard. She is so great, and we enjoyed both. She is absolutely into history now,and hated it before. So I say thank you very much🌺🌺
Such an amazing documentary series. Thank you Professor. Your story telling was just spectacular! I have learnt so much from the four part series!
Just loving this so much. I have to keep pausing when I do chores so I don't miss a word.
Finally a good documentary
I hate the reenacted documentaries with middle eastern looking people running around pretending to be Egyptians.
