Good footage. Biggest issue with soviet-made vehicles is the reverse speed, especially with having no smoke lauchners yet. Hope to see more and.more content in that great game like Infantry, Bundeswehr units and soviet T-64s and T-80s.
Totally agree, the reverse speed plus the lack of smokes definitely means you need an element of luck with the Soviet tanks. The good old fire, reverse, reload, re-engage tactic is a no go, that's for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@akkapamagaming True. At the moment East German forces missions are 'hard mode' because the AI is very strong in hitting you even with ATGMs. On the other hand, playing NATO forces is rediculously easy: thermal sights, lead indicator and very strong armour on the IPM1.
great work also fun fact : the Hungarian's did some testing with the 125mm HE rounds of the 2A46 on a t34 turns out that frontal hits could perforate the upper glacis armour and detonate inside the tank.
Oh damn! Why was this? Was the fuse of the 2A46 just a bit too strong, or was the armor of the T-34 just that soft? That must be one hell of a boom though!
@@akkapamagaming it's likely because war built t34 had very poorly made rivets and the fact that the soviets heat heated the steel to where it made the armor very brattle wacth meant the armor would completely shatter apart even if the hit did not penetrate . this was also a issue for late war germen tanks as Germany lacked good steel wacth is why then you see destroyed tiger 2s and panthers the upper hull would likely be ripped off or shattered to paces like a lot of destroyed t34s
@@akkapamagaming In adition to what samargrewal said, the body of a HE shell is actually made out of a pretty tough steel alloy so it can go trough brick walls and such. The fuse on soviet HE shells have a delay setting, meant to detonate after penetrating field fortifications, however it can be used against light vehicles as an aphe with hilarious effects for the fellas inside
Just found your channel and have been going through all your content and I really like your format! The chill music in the introduction and after-action report makes me feel like I'm watching a a great instructional training and you have a great command of the subject matter. Keep up the good work!
16:37 the A is not the game BUT there is the M1 that is similar to the A ( the original A not the improved version ) in terms of armor as it has the "Kvartz" campsite inserts in the turret also we will likely not see soviet t72s in game right know as all soviet forces in Germany there guards units that operated a mix of t64s and t80s and a small amount of t62s
Perhaps for the purposes of gameplay we can assume the Ruzzians moved their forces into the area represented by the map? I’d really like it if we could have Soviets, Brits or anyone else who could conceivably be on the East-West German border in the ‘salad days’ of the cold war.
@@samargrewal929 I understand. It would still be nice to have stuff from another ‘faction’. However, my immersion-addiction requires things to at least _try_ to look historical in a sim or sim-lite. Or even an arcade-y game like War Thunder or WoT. The frankenranks in WoT give me the heebee-Jeebees. 😁
No, absolutely not. If anything, the enemy AI is usually aimbot level overkill. But they seem to always scan roughly 140 degrees in front of their vehicles. They never check for hostiles behind them.
I personally kinda like T72M version, because it was what we Finns bought from East Germany back in mid 80s. 😂😅
Finns never bought the T-72M version but the T-72M1(composite armor in the turret and an additional 16mm steel plate on UFP). T-72M1=T-72A.

@@SicilianSSFR I doubt the fellas inside the light armor would agree though lol.

Thank you so much for your comment, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos!
I love these historical beginnings. Also: you deserve more subs!
Note that the T-72M in game is an upgraded M from the 70s that has the turret of the M1 which has composite armor
Great video, t72 is definitely one of my favourite tank designs

Ah shoot, you're right. I thought I saw a T-72A at the gun range map, but I think I got confused with the T-55A.

it seems very easy are the enemies always that blind?

what mission is this?
en serio me gustan estos videos más tácticos y lentos ya estoy harto de esos videos de war thunder con tanques norte americanos
Garbage game that keeps crashing!
I don't know, I've never had any issues with it. Not a single crash so far and the performance is brilliant. The issue might be with your PC.
