I think there were two development teams for this game, because seriously the missions in this game don't mesh with the gameplay at all. "We've got a game about piracy and stabbing people, what should the missions be about?" "FOLLOWING PEOPLE!"
Worst bug I ever had was when I jumped into the sea and somehow ended up inside the enemy boat while boarding, and none of my crew could kill the captain, and I was stuck swimming around inside the invisible hull of the ship, so we lost. Either that, or the time I was boarding in a massive storm and I was swimming to the enemy ship, then a tidal wave hit the ship (and me) and I got flung into the ship then sort of glitch-teleported back out to where I was and my game crashed... All in a matter of less than a second... So those two were sort of game breaking...
Oh the xbox version has significantly less glitches. And the controls are way easier than whatever the combat keys are on a keyboard. I much prefer PC to xbox, but assassin's creed just doesn't seem made for PC...
Someone should make a pirate game with Black Flag style mechanics, but instead of doing assassiny things when you get on land, you spend your time trading the goods you have acquired, the buying and selling prices being determined by where you are, so you can buy low in one place and sell high in another. And you should also be able to pick up new crewman at the tavern and board other ships and do combat.

I still think Ubisoft should've just used the Animus concept and made a whole bunch of different "...'s Creed" series. This could've been Pirate's Creed.

There IS a game breaking glitch THAT UBISOFT NWVER BITHERED TO FIX THATS THE PHYSX LAGGINESS and sometimes your ship despawns when you're on land and when you ok at it there is a MASSIVE water hole and the ocean bed can be seen. Then I hopped on the rowboat AND I WAS SWIMMING AND ALL MY CREW FELL FROM THE SKY AND SURVIVED THEY WERE FLOATING BUT I WAS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN!!Apart from that the game is amazing
i had a similar experience where my ship spawned in one of the DLC areas a fair way under the water, but after a while the boat just sort of floated to the surface flying dutchman style, it was great
He said that the frigate doesen't have a ram on the front in front of it, but it has cannons though! Two things, 1. Frigates don't have rams, and 2. Every shithat is not a civilian ship has cannons.
I've come back to this video straight after Dan and Jons 2018 Sea of Thieves videos. There needs to be a standalone game like this, screw SoT. I have it completed on PS3, and its on sale on PC right now... but eh... just wish there was an original game like this. I have Rogue too, not played it ever, may give that a whirl.
The worst bug in the game before the update was that at a story mission, somewhere about the 76% completion mark, there would be a glitch that the last person you had to kill wouldn't be counted. I remember swinging around for 4 hours looking for the last person. Reloaded the save file and voila, there he was. I wanted to smash everything in. ==__==
Who here likes Rogue more than this game? Not saying this one's bad but Rogue improved everything so much as far as gameplay and story goes. Plus you can finally kill civilians, which is always fun.

+Gage Farris well if you liked how in black flag you don't use an assassin and you like the naval combat then check it out I own rogue ,unity( the French one ) and syndicate on pc I've spent way more hours on rogue. Being a Templar pirate is a refreshing change of flavor.

I've never had the boat glitch where my boat is gone and the water is all distorted before, and hopefully never will.

Later in the campaign u unlock a map were you send ships on trade routes. The third option is to add a ship to your fleet.
