I still remember playing Baritone Horn/Euphonium for the 2008 Middle School All-State Honor Band in Eugene, Oregon. We were actually conducted by Robert Sheldon himself AND played two of his pieces out of 4 altogether for the concert, after only three days of rehearsal. Those two were Three Georgian Vignettes and The Phantom of Dark Hollow which had very nice parts for my instrument to play. It was an amazing privilege to have the co?poser himself conduct us. Thanks, Mr. Sheldon for an amazing music making experience!
