First Halo to tank in population and got Halo temporally removed from MLG. Loadouts, armor lock, health packs, bland maps and a bunch of other terrible additions. Reach was the beginning of the downfall of Halo. People only hype it because it was Bungie's send off. Bungie stands have the tightest double layer of Nostalgia Goggles and Rose tented glasses around. Outside of Campaign and Forge that game was a travesty.

I loved Reach all the way through, if 5 had a better Campaign and customization, it would have been my favorite as well... I liked the idea of having almost like a horde mode (Left 4 Dead 2 and Halo 3 were both my first games ever played), the art design was pretty cool, Reach had a very expansive customization set and then 4 made it just as good with questionable sets of armor that still looked better than what 5 brought, Reach didn’t have too much of a loadout but more of “which armor ability do ye want?” Situation (which I thought was cool to have more functions to the MJOLNIR armor), the Campaign itself was amazing (I’ve had a thing for prequels anyways), the Missions were pretty cool with some Easter eggs and 343 did something I was happy about which was add another Rvb Easter egg achievement for The Package (complete par score and the achievement is called “then how did I lose all my fingers” which is a reference to Caboose being in Reach), very interesting characters, bringing back Keyes to remind us he dies later too, forge was huge and featured the biggest map till 5 came out (forge world), and since 343 is making Reach better and adding to the MCC, it gets even better

Reach was great. And had a beautiful ending. So bittersweet. I remember desperately willing Noble 6 to get up just one more time. I got so invested in the final battle and even though was gutted I still somehow felt like an absolute badass.

@@argo9721 His video on Destiny was very bad and poorly informed. I watched the Act Mans video on Destiny 2 and it was basically a word-for-word. He just copied what Act said about it. I know Xperia doesnt dislike Destiny but he honestly just took Act for his word, and I dont consider that healthy.

@@willflegg1418 Thats where issues come into play, opinions can often damage the community depending on where that opinion is directed, like for example, halo 5 guardians popularity, some hate it a lot while others like it, and the art style often causes arguments because people believe the classics should stay in the past which often cause a lot of issues for us, opinions are allowed but they need to be wise opinions to avoid any argument or conflict.

I personally love the way Halo 2: Anniversary’s multiplayer feels. One of my favourites to play. All it lacks are more iconic Halo 2 maps

@@tuckerjohnston1844 I don’t mind people’s negative opinions about H4’s campaign (even though I love it) because it’s so different and H5 campaign was utter trash (though Gameplay is amazing ; if they toned down the speed and pace a bit and remove ground pound it would be perfect), but I can’t understand the love for Reach or ODST.
ODST is so boring and story is useless and Reach feels so uninspired, and the weapon meta is the worst in the series. The DMR is such a boring weapon...

I played it at a Zao Island, that game is actually god tier, I got pretty far on just one run surprisingly
Halo 2 by far my favorite aswell. It was just incredible. Despite being held together with popsicle sticks and glue; it was gorgeous. It was a prime time for bungie. The campaign was absolutely incredible and the multiplayer aswell. Sad to see we have drifted so darn far from this.

its perfect i dont get anyone who says 3 is better than 2 storywise. we get 2 perspectives the perspective of the covenant and then mc we also get to play as 2 characters and the fights are so much more fun than 3.
@@nem3908 I wholesomely agree; halo3’s campaign is kinda bland man I don’t know. Apart from a couple missions, it’s not challenging and as interesting as 2 was! The brutes are an embarrassing step down in 3 and, it felt lame. Multiplayer is incredible but. An unpopular opinion will be that 3’s campaign was boring at times
@@huntman777 3's campaign was never boring for me, definitely easier but that in my opinion was because Halo 3 just kept moving at all times. Halo 2 I always felt bogged down in an arena and just thinking, "get on with it"
I completely disagree on reaches enemy design for campaign, I personally think its one of the best in the series in that regard.
Tbh I agree with the multiplayer part now. Firefight, and Customs were perfect, Campaign wasn't the best but still great, Online Multiplayer was it's weakest point. It gets really fucking tedious grinding on MCC via Halo Reach SWAT unlocking retarded armors I don't want until I get one I DO want. And I personally am not really a Matchmaking guy on Halo I just play everything but that.

That's the only one I really disagreed with. I would have given Reach at least B. I have always loved Reach firefight, art style, and story telling. He did not share my love of firefight. To be honest there should have been better netcode from the start, and there should have been more hardcore matchmaking options like legendary with very limited lives, but that's the fault of Bungie's matchmaking, not Reach itself.

Reach's campaign was a masterpiece. It told the story of reach masterfully. That alone deserves B at minimum but when you toss the the best forge mode to date it is granted a comfy A tier.

I recently started playing CE again and I’m only playing in the original graphics. The atmosphere of 343 and the Library still make me anxious and I’m an actual adult lol. It’s honestly impressive

@@samanazmi5803 honestly, the entire reason as to why Halo Reach is so much better then most people give it credit for is a very, very long explanation. But to sum it up, Reach isnt a character focused story, its a setting based story. Its the story of the fall of the planet Reach
I do like how Halo 4’s unlock system encouraged players to try things that they otherwise wouldn’t have done. I remember completing Halo 4 on Legendary, then switching over to multiplayer. I saw that I unlocked the Mark VI armor and equipped it. Suddenly, I was receiving messages from so many people asking me “how did you unlock the chiefs armor?” It was a decent incentive for people who only play multiplayer to give the campaign a chance, and on the hardest difficulty at that.
I think that Reach deserves S tier.

BTW funny story, I fell in love with halo because of halo 5s campaign, I don't know why but I thought it was beautiful until I played all the others and I realized that halo 5 is dog crap.

I found reach to be very fun, yet I believe it’s more B than C because the firefight was eh and the multiplayer minus firefight was terrible but the campaign carried it because it opened me into lore personally.

I don't mind your placement of Reach, but honestly custom games were the heart and soul of that game. They're the reason it's so beloved by so many. If I could go back and relive the fun I had in customs all over again I would probably cry lol. If you didn't really play them that much I can understand why you wouldn't put it as high as the main trilogy.
Honestly when it comes to tier list I think it's hugely variable depending on how old the person making the list is.
For me, everything you just said about Reach applies to 3. I have an endless library of great memories with 3 and would react similarly to you. I cried when bnet Halo stats went down and I missed my chance to archive all my old game data.
That is despite Reach having a way more robust Forge and more variable sandbox to play around with. I'm sure if I was 12 when Reach was in its hayday I would feel the same as you. Invasion would've made teenage me shit myself in excitement.
I really like hearing people's tier list because everyone has a different snapshot of what makes Halo great. Everyone has a different game they consider the holy grail of Halo games.
There are young kids growing up now who will feel how you do about Reach and I feel about 3, but about 4 and 5.

100% agree most of my time in reach wasnt spent on the multiplayer at all it was the crazy ass custom games people made and you and your friends would spend hours and hours playing new and crazy game modes people had come up with i think the developers did an amazing thing and allowed the average player to be able to craft a game they wanted out of halo reach, the amount of fun i had was endless and only stopped because i no longer had a console to play it on i still go back to it now on MCC but for me halo’s multiplayer just will never capture what i felt with reach custom games

I probably have biased towards reach as it was my first proper halo experience, it has to have my favourite art style of all the games, I haven’t really played multiplayer but me and my friends did co op all the time. I have great memories of it and wouldn’t put it below a

Custom games community carried reach, the expansion of Forge allowed us to be so creative and expand on what was possible in Halo 3. Reach is my baby forever, story, multiplayer, forge and customs were all perfect for me, friendships were made a decade ago that I still keep in touch with, thankyou customgames. I will say tho Halo 3 is my favorite campaign.
Honestly think reach was S tier if at least for the multiplayer, say what you want about the game but reach custom games have never been topped. The only thing I'd change about reach is the armor abilities
Reach had crippling attributes like armor lock which completely stopped fights, increased bloom, and overall not well received art style such as elites seeming to bulky, brutes faces, and grunt voices. I'm not very opposed to the art style but others disagree, it should be an A teir considering ODST is above it and didn't have a multiplayer
I hate the dmr spam reach is (at least you can dodge the br in 3) and the armour abilities are annoying, some of the remake maps are way tobig compare to the original and most of the multiplayer maps are campaign maps what is disappointing

Although I’d throw Halo Reach up higher to A or S, I like your list. Reach was the first Halo I played on my own without help and I was so damn drawn into the story, the gameplay was glorious, and I really enjoyed the weapons. With me now I do think the sandbox isn’t the best but only after a few missions in. The missions and story i can always come back to I love being on Reach and being with My Noble 6 and Noble Team. I always shed at least one tear before the game is completely over. That’s what I always loved About Halo. It does different things for different people. I hope Halo Infinite will do something for me, I haven’t been into a Halo story since playing the original Bungie games

Halo Reach is not so different from Halo 4 but I've never seen a game die as fast as Halo 4s multiplayer maybe Gears Judgment is a close one.

I think people sleep on it so much because most of the armours were considered ugly, but the actual unlock and progression system behind it was fantastic

The way they introduced the flood in HW2 made sense to me because it goes with the Bungie concept of not introducing something that didn’t start in the games. The flood spore on the Spirit of Fire was only in a comic and not the game so basically all of the players who never read the comics (and that’s probably a lot) would find the flood being introduced there to come out of nowhere. We know the flood were on High Charity so them having remnants on the ship wouldn’t catch most players off guard.
I love how this list goes all the way down to "E" just for Halo 5.

@@Agent1245_ Honestly the only thing I think Halo 5 did well was weapon balance (early on,) but even that is subjective. I personally prefer more viable weapons in the sandbox since comp can just limit the weapons available, but I can get people who think the autos were *too* good to make precision weapons less important.
5's overall multiplayer experience is unrivaled. PvP, PvE, casual, competitive. There is nothing in the series that comes close to its offering
The problem is the spartan abilities, the shitty servers, and the sci-fi aesthetic
That said, I'd still say it's right behind 3 in terms of best multiplayer
