In fairness, Halo 2's busted hitboxes already gave Elites a negative connotation among the community, even if 3 and Reach were much improved in this area. ''it just feels lonely while you're playing matchmaking.'' I'm a very causal Halo player but this phrase hit the nail on the head for me. It feels like you aren't online, its so lonely. This is part of the reason I stopped playing, a big part.

Halo 3 was a big improvement however I liked the Story and cutscenes of 2 better. I am glad that I gave Halo another chance.
Just want to point out a couple issues with your timeline; Halo 3 ODST was added to MCC back in 2015, not in 2019 with the rest of MCC on PC. Also, Joe Staten joined 343 after the negative reaction to the initial gameplay trailer for Infinite, in 2020, and was not involved with the first 5 years of Infinite's development. Besides that this is an excellent video man, very good job.
Honestly, I knew back when I was a teenager, that when Bungie left and Microsoft gave the IP over to 343, that it was over. I showed up for Halo 4, and within two weeks, I was done. Even if 343 somehow made a popular game that felt like Halo and pleased the fans, it would still feel like a doppelganger to me, the "soul" is long gone and 343 never knew how to replicate it anyway.
I think they actually did know how to replicate it, but just didn't want to. Which makes it worse. It was no secret on what made Halo a success and why fans loved it. All they had to do was look at Bungies Halo and follow their formula. They weren't going into this franchise blind. They had a decade of sourced material. Plus they turned down Marty O'Donnells offer to come work for them. Laid off Joe Staten who had his ideas constantly rejected from what I've read. And let's not forget the infamous "we hired people who hated halo". Not sure how out if context that statement was, if it was. But you don't start your reign of a much loved game series with a statement like that. It feels like they were more focused on putting their own stamp on the franchise. Rather than make a Halo game that stands side by side with the others, they wanted to stand out instead (and boy did they stand out). The irony that they called they names themselves after 343GS: "This ring is MINE!" - 343i: "This franchise is Mine!" Lol
The best part is. Slipspace is not a new engine, Its built off halo 5 still. It just has a new rendering pipeline shoved into the old engine that dates back to myth lmao. There is still code in there referring to bungie pro.
@@Destroyer_V0 yeah they talked about it a while ago. Their base gameplay is still on the BLAM engine, now theyve renamed it to FOXTROT i believe? But its obvious to tell if you slide and turn around in the tower, you can see your top half is diconnected from the bottom half. Same as halo 3. Just gotta look closely at things
The biggest mistake of 343i is their ego being so big their heads are up their asses. All they’ve ever done in their tenure is just ignore the fans, ignore the legacy, and pretend everything is fine. Props to the devs for fixing MCC and making it work. But the higher ups are just out of touch
To all the 343 defenders: Halo infinite had 2x development time, 4x the funds, and 4x the amount of developers working on it... and launched with the LEAST amount of content since 2007. (Arguably since 2001 if we consider the lack of variety in the campaign) Not to mention: the ludicrous retcons to the lore since 2011, chasing awful AAA industry trends, scummy monetization, bland boring mission design for all 3 of their games, MCC was broken for 4 YEARS, insulting the playerbase when criticized, Infinite missing the most basic of features like replayable campaign missions/slayer playlist/progression system, lying about having split screen at launch, Choosing a generic farcry-esc open world with copy paste content over diverse missions with memorable battles and setpieces, the spit in the face that was the paramount show, and so SO much more... There's ZERO excuse. 343 is a truly terrible developer. Halo needs to be put to sleep. We had our golden years, lets preserve the bungie games as best we can, but stop milking a dead cow.
The fall of Halo for gaming is akin to the fall of Rome. Part of me thinks that if Halo was in the right hands, it could easily be at least near its former glory. People say that “Change is good” but that can only stretch so far. Counter Strike and TF2 somehow both managed to maintain their casual and competitive fan bases quite well without changing too much for years. I’m not sure why Halo was turned into a lab rad for experimentation.
@@randomhiphop5055 They own all his prior works on Halo, and the guy they got for Infinite's soundtrack absolutely nailed it. Marty absolutely wasn't what made Halo special, yes he was a piece of it, but he seriously doesn't deserve as much credit as your giving him and kinda spits in the face of Michael Salvatori who did a LOT of the music too
I think Halo Reach, in addition to being the best selling of the Bungie Halos, should be commended for its day one community features. It is literally still unbeaten by any other Halo game and by basically the entire FPS genre. They had all of the usual multiplayer staples and then some. They had the best forge at the time, theater mode, firefight, a file sharing system, the most in-depth custom games options, and a fully realized campaign. All. On. Day. One. Halo Reach is occasionally ribbed for some design decisions, like bloom, armor abilities, or ripping multiplayer maps from the campaign but you honestly can't deny the absolute wealth of content.
I said from the moment I got my blue flame in halo reach for Bungies’ parting gift that 343 would destroy the franchise. So many people defended 343 and now they are finally starting to realize what I was talking about
Thank you for putting split-screen as the #1 step on 343's path to redemption. It's not just a feature, it's a core aspect of Halo's identity and a signifier for the value behind 343's promises
Amazing video, you perfectly addressed every problem with the halo series and how to fix it. You deserve way more subs, give it time and I see you going places dude! I also absolutely loves the way you ended the video with “Spartans never die, they’re just missing in action” this perfectly sums up the state of halo and how it can make a great comeback.
At this point i would just reboot the franchise's plot from H4 onward. The story is a mess, 343 introduced the Didact, what was supposed to be the main villain of this new era of Halo and then killed him off screen, they then made Cortana become the new main villain, ended the game on a cluffhanger, and ofcourse they killed her offscreen. Now the antagonists are a crappy street gang posing as the covenant, and best of all they even managed to beat the UNSC.
What is your point? Did you think that was a smart and profound statement? Bungie only created the whole franchise and made the original universally praised trilogy. None of the 343 games even come close in quality to the Bungie era.
Amazing video man, loved everything you covered and your love for Halo is clear and genuine. While 343 has routinely disappointed me, taking things to the bottom line will hopefully get positive change moving forward at the studio. I hope Halo can become whole again, but the bottom line for us is that 343 didn’t create this series. 343’s creation was made out of the idea of maintaining success and Microsoft made the worst decision possible losing Bungie. They just don’t have what it takes right now, and while I’m unsure if they ever will there is a through line. That being us, cause Spartans never die, they’re just MIA
How tf does this man not even have 1k subs? Come on, this video is way underrated. I hope this kind of content continues, as it is informative and entertaining. I hope you reach a bunch of great milestones soon.
I disagree, that "its not the developers fault". Most of them dont even like, or have ever even played halo... Bungie, made a game that THEY THEMSELVES would like to play, and it made for great games. A lot of 343 doesnt even play games.. let alone halo... lol
I agree, but also, it's those executives' faults for hiring those people, refusing to hire Bungie people wanting to keep with Halo, and creating a hostile environment between 343 and Halo.
Surprised that you didn't bring up 343i's Forerunner retcons. That's a decision that deeply affects and destroys the story of the franchise. Quite frankly, the necessity of undoing that retcon is why we need a reboot.
You explained everything perfectly. What’s the point of complaining without a solution or reason? You hit the points and articulated what has been going on with my favorite game franchise.
Halo 4 i got along with my 360 when i was 10 i honestly still love the game to this day. Even now having played and loved the original trilogy years later.
You mentioned after Halo 4 how people on the outer edges of the fandom started to drop off, however I think that misidentifies one issue. I stopped playing after Halo 4, but in no way would I consider myself a fringe fan. I own every game up to Halo 4 and have spent countless hours in both customs and multi-player since I first sat down to play CE in 2001. I watched Red vs. Blue since it began and I tuned in every week for whatever Halo content RT was dropping. Halo was part of the reason I bought and stayed with Xbox. I used to devour Halo and everything the franchise had to offer...until Halo 4. And the reason I think this is misidentified is because I don't think I was the only one. I think a significant portion of the player population that was right around my age at the time and going off to college kind of made the decision to drop the franchise. I know plenty of people bought new game consoles when they got to school and maybe 1 or 2 bought Halo to go along with it. Everyone elsw bought sports games or GTA V. Halo wasn't the fun, social party game anymore. Sure, things change in the this era of online multi-player, but even just 10 years ago I was sitting in a dorm room playing sport or Nintendo party games, I just wasn't playing Halo.
I can see where you are coming from, what I likely should have stated is that it killed the enthusiasm for a sizable portion of the player base but a small group of fans held out hope
It’s 100% not gonna see a no man’s sky return. No man’s sky didn’t mug us off with micro transactions. The games dead, let it die, it’s for the best for all of us.
Halo 1-3 was such a huge part of my childhood, especially 2. I spent hours exploring the game with grenades combined using the cowbell and sputnik skulls. It was fun as hell doing this with my bro and trying to break the game. I miss the couch co-op days so much dude
Amazing video man! Pretty much exactly how i feel about 343 since they took over Halo. It’s disheartening as a halo fan to see this beloved franchise in this state. And as much as people want to see Infinite make a comeback. I personally just can’t see it. The damage has already been done. 343’s reputation has a studio is so low that it is hard to trust them on anything they say. And Halo Infinite as a brand is known for that game with desync, lack of content, and predatory monetization system
I absolutely love this video dude! Even though im still relatively new to this series and have had a .... not so great past with its multiplayer I see how much each screw up from this company cuts into the fan base. Im still hoping that 343 is able to turn this ship around, and with new management hopefully we may be able to see Halo rise once again.
This video said everything I could never put into words describing how I feel about my beloved game....its so damn unfortunate how infinite was handled, if it was up to me I'd fire every single one of them and bring in people who are clearly better at running a game because atp....343 couldn't even manage a mcdonalds let alone a hugely popular game This is the FIRST halo game where I didn't even bother to finish the campaign, nor felt like playing multi-player & having fun; its tough to explain but the game just doesn't have the Halo Soul to it....its like somethings missing, you know it's a Halo game but it just doesn't feel that way
As a newcomer to Halo and having an interest in it, it is quite the mess they have gotten themselves into with these mistakes. I can only hope they can push on with Halo Infinite in a positive way with the new leadership. Amazing video by the way. You got a new sub as well. You did this video quite marvelously. Is MCC worthy playing for a new player coming into Halo? I have no idea where to start. The lore of Halo sounds so awesome as much as Destiny's and Destiny 2's lore.
Fantastic video. I agreed with everything you said. I do hope we see a drastic change to not only Halo Infinite and the other games but the studio as well. If something doesn't happen soon, there will be no hope left. Subbed and liked. Also shared this with my community. It may be small but that's more people to watch and understand what is going on and what needs to happen. Have a blessed day William!
Dude, great video!! Something you forgot to mention on the halo 4-5 transition was the killing of the didact (the main antagonist of the saga) on a f-ing comic book
I don’t think I’ve spoken to a single person who likes skill based matchmaking in any game. CoD, halo, whatever. Young, old, No one likes it. Idk why devs insist on including it in every game.
the biggest problem with halo infinites multiplayer ist the missing lobbies, where players could talk before and after, while waiting for the round to start. it feels so quiet and lonely playing multiplayer and that is a very big problem
I don’t recall watching you man but thank you for your last statement it’s like you read my comment I left on the halo channel. You are spartans never die, they’re missing in action ❤ :,)
A good friend of mine who I have played every Halo game Co-op with for over a decade bought the game with me at launch and we were both devastated to hear that the campaign was single player ONLY and would stay in this state for ages. He never even finished the campaign and abandoned the game shortly after. It is an understatement to say that not having content that has been integral to the series for fans like forge as a glaring example can drive some players away in an instant. I actually was embarrassed at the state of Halo when I couldn't even play the brand new single player with my friend, something I have been able to do online for ages.
it’s good to know there are people that feel the same way as me about this. Wild to think something that shaped my childhood has been mid for over a decade
This was an incredibly well made, and said, video. I agree with pretty much every single point and just want to see Halo where it has the potential to be. +1 sub
I'm convinced at this point that 343 intentionally is doing things 'wrong'. Simply put they know they can make a quick buck with MTX. They put profits over making a good game. Also several higher ups at 343 have been documented to dislike the old Halo games and want to force their own political and story narratives into the games.
Halo needs a hard reboot. 343 has completely shat all over the lore. Can't we just pretend none of this stuff ever happened. Chief and Cortana are still aboard the dawn drifting towards some unknown planet. Let's just start over from 3 but this time stick with the original lore. The forerunners were human. Not some weird OP Didact mofo that's all bitter because somehow his librarian wife flirted with the Chief's genetics in the past.
It's amazing how many things they've gotten wrong, all things at all different scales, both in and out of the games. Abandoning the Halo profile archives, their mishandling of the games and live service model, not delivering on promises, and even just their waypoint login system still being broken after years
I'm gonna be frank; Infinite continues to be such a monumental backstab against every single facet of the Halo community that 343 will never deserve any sort of politeness or goodwill ever again. The backlash is entirely warranted and earned. You do not destroy a series for a decade and still get to beg for trust and forgiveness. No.
Great video dude! Even though I really enjoyed campaign and multiplayer, I stopped playing Halo Infinite after 343 cancelled spiltscreen campaign. Broken promises, greedy microtransactions, and a serious lack of content really dug this game into an early grave.
The motivations, intentions, philosophies, and priorities of the leadership at 343 are too far removed from those of the people who created the original three games. These inheritors of the franchise have shown that they have misunderstood what makes Halo compelling and have thus killed, and now, are puppeteering the corpse of the franchise. They cannot resurrect Halo without a drastic revaluation of their priorities. I'm sorry to doom post, these games were so close to my heart and it's been a long journey to process the loss of such a big piece of myself.
About the engine, it seems it's not a new engine, it's an iteration of the Halo 5 engine (which is the 4th which is the Reach engine lol), when miners were searching the game they found that it practically is the same engine they just rebranded it. It's amazing that they delayed 1 year the game and it was released in that state, how was a year prior?, it's simply amazing.
I was 7 when I first played Halo: combat evolved. I was 8 when Halo 2 came out. I was late to 3 due to being in a poor family. I was 15 when I finally stop playing reach and went off to join the U.S. army. I refused to play 4, I saw 343 made their first update to reach and removed Bunjie's goodbye letter and slapped their logo on the opening cinematic of reach's boot up. I loved Halo wars 1 and even 2. I just don't care for the game play, story directions.
I think a lot of people forget when it comes to design and art style of the original trilogy Bungie was heavily inspired by Sci-fi anime whereas modern Halo starting with Reach went with more of a western Sci-fi style people don't think about this too much but that's why Halo was always mature yet exaggerated with over the top voice lines and over exaggerated blood (Which got toned down with 3). Not saying Halo didn't have western influences like Aliens and such, but there was clear anime influence in the contours and silhouette of the characters and the way they're animated. Hell Bungie, literally made a game in the anime style in 2001 called Oni. Now Halo wants to be Fortnite and barf colors ever since 5.... I hate Halo being T so it could be watered down for kids to consume.
When my girlfriend first came to my house and saw my halo posters and various halo merch she said " halo I remember when that was huge in middle school everyone was playing that game that must all be stuff from your childhood" and it hit me this cultural icon of the 2000s was now obscure and irrelevant halo is in the same category as smash mouth and the black eyed peas.
Halo, Star Wars, Tolkien’s Middle Earth, The Witcher, Marvel are the worlds I love that has been carelessly raped by greedy and incompetent corporations. The higher ups of these companies know what the fans want, but the fans don’t. The arrogance and greed blows my mind. So incredibly sick of modern media and entertainment.
Agreed. Countless masterpiece franchises have been desecrated by unworthy usurpers who have no connection, respect, understanding, or care for the franchises for which they assumed control. It's cultural destruction. These franchises have been ground down to nothing more than a cash cow with no identity or cultural value, used for nothing more than money and pushing their agenda.
Yo we are kind of like the elves in LOTR. In the second book Treebeard says, "the elves hid themselves away and sing songs of times that would never come again.". That's us. We've hidden ourselves away in the MCC and infinite custom games browser. We make lobbies with names like, "remember the good ole days." And we lament to our fellow Halo fans of the old days back when our favorite franchise was relevant. So sad.
It's just insane to me how well they earned the name 343. They presented themselves as friends with a solution to the problem (no halo after bungie) and then we discovered the reality of the solution. Then the community pushed back against the direction the series took (see halo 4 player base drop off). Only for 343 to return as apologetic and mistaken, they realised the error of H4 guys! Then we got H5, a second betrayal... I guess you could say... Two Betrayals argh argh argh argh arrr. Then we got 343 screaming that we couldn't just blow up the new direction we had to have sprint! It's 4am I can't be bothered completing the comparison. Tldr: 343 Industries is just like 343 Guilty Spark. Why tf didn't they call themselves 117 Industries???
The reason why Halo is struggling is because it's hard to be a Halo fan right now. I can only speak my simple truth. 343i has not been delivering Seems like every campaign is disjointed and strives to go in opposite directions of each other. So it's really hard to get invested in the continuity of the current story. And it's even worse for the multiplayer. Halo 5 guardians. Their best title may have not launched complete but by the year one mark it was. We had to wait 5 years for a "infinite" beta And six for forge. And the game is still nowhere near content complete. The only content getting produced is by the fans right now. No maps, no modes, no cross core, no assassinations, no split screen co-op, no service record, no playable alien faction, a s***** body slider because they're afraid to make female Spartans, no pre game lobby, lack of social features in general like proximity chat. (Something that Halo innovated! That cod is now using to great success). Locking more and more of the game behind paywalls or conventions designed to sell micro transactions At the expense of the gameplay loop. And massive stability problems and engine technical limitations This is why Halo is dead for me at least they had an absolutely massive cultural IP and did not realize it, So they foolishly watered down the experience trying to get more fans and money. In following that downward trajectory Microsoft lost everything when it comes to this IP. They had it for a brief glorious second when infinite launched, but they failed to keep the ball rolling and that is entirely their fault.
Halo is a mess right now and its mainly the fault of their being no clear leadership at 343, it seems that every couple months directions change within the studio
The most annoying thing is how the gunplay and the actual moment to moment gameplay is super fun but it's just every thing around it that pulls it down
“Innovation is necessary” maybe not that much when you make the perfect multiplayer, which was and still is halo 3, and it’s not close. Halo Reach managed to be good enough in its own right to be loved, but man was it already headed down a bad path then.. Halo should be Halo. They started taking way too much from other games and messed with perfection. Start with fundamental mechanics of H3 sandbox and multiplayer and map design when making the next game. Or just literally make Halo 3 anniversary. With improved graphics, a few new campaign mission levels inserted in somehow, and 6-8 new maps. Would take a year to make and easily sell a few million copies minimum. But use Halo 3 as the base design and sandbox. Keep the HUD the EXACT same, etc.. The only thing they had to do til the end of time was keep making Halo 3 with tiny tiny tweak, just give new maps, new vehicles, better forge, and occasionally some new weapons…but don’t mess with the competitive style multiplayer - leave it alone, it was perfect in H3, and went way down hill since. There is a such an online presence on MCC specifically for H3, I’m finding game instantly, and not just slayer but Hill, Flag, Snipes. The only thing that gets hard is 2’s and ranked.

You explained the “casual turns into competitive” aspect perfectly man. Couldn’t have said it simpler myself.
The best part is. Slipspace is not a new engine, Its built off halo 5 still. It just has a new rendering pipeline shoved into the old engine that dates back to myth lmao. There is still code in there referring to bungie pro.
Damn I guess UE5 isn't a new engine either.
@@KCAssassin98 correct its an iteration on unreal :D
Destiny is still on the halo 3 engine believe it or not
@@dave7474 Holy shit, no kidding? No wonder the combat loop in matchmaking felt familiar in destiny 1, even if so much had changed.
@Bob Duckington It's almost like they bloody want halo to fail at this point... so be it.
@Bob Duckington Thank you! Someone else who actually understands that the majority of the company is garbage!
This is a phenominal video, you deserve thousands of more subs.
Thanks so much, I hope I get there someday!
Bonnie Ross also stopped the gearbox studios idea but a truly incredible video
To all the 343 defenders:
Halo infinite had 2x development time, 4x the funds, and 4x the amount of developers working on it...
and launched with the LEAST amount of content since 2007. (Arguably since 2001 if we consider the lack of variety in the campaign)
Not to mention: the ludicrous retcons to the lore since 2011, chasing awful AAA industry trends, scummy monetization, bland boring mission design for all 3 of their games, MCC was broken for 4 YEARS, insulting the playerbase when criticized, Infinite missing the most basic of features like replayable campaign missions/slayer playlist/progression system, lying about having split screen at launch, Choosing a generic farcry-esc open world with copy paste content over diverse missions with memorable battles and setpieces, the spit in the face that was the paramount show, and so SO much more...
Itll never be the same without Marty O'Donell. I wish more people would realize this and demand he's given an offer.
All my homies like William
Yessirr!
There’s a difference between being a fan of the franchise and being a fan of the bungie era halo games.
Not really, the bungie era games IS the franchise. Everything after is really just fan fiction. And even feels like it.
What is your point? Did you think that was a smart and profound statement? Bungie only created the whole franchise and made the original universally praised trilogy. None of the 343 games even come close in quality to the Bungie era.
@@cobain2261 shut up and eat another slug 😂
Amazing video man, loved everything you covered and your love for Halo is clear and genuine. While 343 has routinely disappointed me, taking things to the bottom line will hopefully get positive change moving forward at the studio. I hope Halo can become whole again, but the bottom line for us is that 343 didn’t create this series. 343’s creation was made out of the idea of maintaining success and Microsoft made the worst decision possible losing Bungie. They just don’t have what it takes right now, and while I’m unsure if they ever will there is a through line. That being us, cause Spartans never die, they’re just MIA
I think the future can be bright for halo as long as 343 is willing to actually listen to fan feedback, but at the end of it all one can only hope
Isn't that quote from the marketing for Halo 3, meaning it was made during the Bungie era? I might just be remembering incorrectly however?
How tf does this man not even have 1k subs? Come on, this video is way underrated. I hope this kind of content continues, as it is informative and entertaining. I hope you reach a bunch of great milestones soon.
Thanks so much, I will try my best!
@@WilliamRoyallYT Keep it up, seriously under rated channel you need more subs
Bungie honestly should have never stopped making Halo
It gets a lot of hate. I liked the Campaign probably the best from 343.
@Daenack Dranils my thoughts exactly
I appreciate that you acknowledge the many missteps of 343i without attributing as much to malice as others seem to.
The only good thing they did was Halo 4 Cortanas appearance
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS #fire343 we need halo to be good again

Subbed. Excellent video, brother.
I am still hopeful, even though things have been bad I feel that the future is bright for halo!
Really the only option is to ditch 343. Like they already laid off a ton of people, might as well get rid of them
This video said everything I could never put into words describing how I feel about my beloved game....its so damn unfortunate how infinite was handled, if it was up to me I'd fire every single one of them and bring in people who are clearly better at running a game because atp....343 couldn't even manage a mcdonalds let alone a hugely popular game
This is the FIRST halo game where I didn't even bother to finish the campaign, nor felt like playing multi-player & having fun; its tough to explain but the game just doesn't have the Halo Soul to it....its like somethings missing, you know it's a Halo game but it just doesn't feel that way
Really appreciate the quality content

As a newcomer to Halo and having an interest in it, it is quite the mess they have gotten themselves into with these mistakes. I can only hope they can push on with Halo Infinite in a positive way with the new leadership. Amazing video by the way. You got a new sub as well. You did this video quite marvelously. Is MCC worthy playing for a new player coming into Halo? I have no idea where to start. The lore of Halo sounds so awesome as much as Destiny's and Destiny 2's lore.
This is what happens when giant corporations take over video games... and turn them into monetization streams.
Very good explanation!
Now explain this to Microsoft, BUT make sure to say the word “Money” a LOT and it will work I’m sure!
Such a mistake
I don’t think I’ve spoken to a single person who likes skill based matchmaking in any game. CoD, halo, whatever. Young, old, No one likes it. Idk why devs insist on including it in every game.
New edition to the list: their recent post saying “growing up is realizing Spartans DO die”
idk whether Im in love with this video, you, halo, or all of it. but you definitely deserve this sub
Thanks so much, I appreciate the support!
RIP 343, hopefully whoever gets the IP next can do better.
I just miss shooting guys without worrying about a grind… think that was special about older games
Give us firefight 343
the biggest problem with halo infinites multiplayer ist the missing lobbies, where players could talk before and after, while waiting for the round to start. it feels so quiet and lonely playing multiplayer and that is a very big problem
It baffles me how 343i named themselves after the biggest Halo villain and people think they're the good guys.
Provide constructive criticism? Isn't that what Halo fans been doing since Halo 4 and nothing change?
Yes, I have to say since the release of this video my feelings have seriously changed about the possibility of halos future
I think infinite making no money would probably make Microsoft force 343 to abandon ship and work on another game
it’s good to know there are people that feel the same way as me about this. Wild to think something that shaped my childhood has been mid for over a decade
Very well put together video man!
This was an incredibly well made, and said, video. I agree with pretty much every single point and just want to see Halo where it has the potential to be. +1 sub
Top tier content. You're gonna go far, trust me.
Halo does not need a Battle Royale in order to be successful, look at the previous titles. But it would be mighty annoying and unoriginal for sure!
If halo 7 has no forged at launch, I'll spam Bungie in every halo vid.
Forgot I wrote this
I'm convinced at this point that 343 intentionally is doing things 'wrong'. Simply put they know they can make a quick buck with MTX. They put profits over making a good game. Also several higher ups at 343 have been documented to dislike the old Halo games and want to force their own political and story narratives into the games.
bingo finally someone gets it...ITS ALL DONE ON PURPOSE
No.
Spot on video, you just forgot EOMM in social matchmaking though :)
Well that idea of Infinite being like No Man's Sky aged like milk...
Great video dude! Even though I really enjoyed campaign and multiplayer, I stopped playing Halo Infinite after 343 cancelled spiltscreen campaign. Broken promises, greedy microtransactions, and a serious lack of content really dug this game into an early grave.
Tbh I’ve been having a blast playing halo custom games recently. The winter update has really clutched up for this game
When my girlfriend first came to my house and saw my halo posters and various halo merch she said " halo I remember when that was huge in middle school everyone was playing that game that must all be stuff from your childhood" and it hit me this cultural icon of the 2000s was now obscure and irrelevant halo is in the same category as smash mouth and the black eyed peas.
great video. many good points made. makes me wish Halo was in a better place than how it is today.
These franchises have been ground down to nothing more than a cash cow with no identity or cultural value, used for nothing more than money and pushing their agenda.
bro loved your vid, definitely should do more about your opinions on other game studios and their games
It was all right there in plain sight, right from the beginning - the name 343 - the villain, the betrayer…
So sad.
Amazing video! Thanks for making it. 👌 Quality.
Amazing video I truly see your channel blowing up with Subscribers! Can you do a in depth video about the gears series
I've actually never played the majority of the Gears games but I would love to experience them for a video!
There is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
The most annoying thing is how the gunplay and the actual moment to moment gameplay is super fun but it's just every thing around it that pulls it down
Halo feel so far in their quest for the “wider audience” that the core halo fanbase is larger than what they have.
I believe this video released 2 months too late.
343 if you’re watching…. take notes 👍🏾
I'm hoping they do
