- Welcome to Krasnoyarsk, a vibrant and booming city that attracts young folks from all corners of Russia. But there's more to it than just that - Krasnoyarsk is the metal-making powerhouse of the country! If you own anything made of metal from Russia, chances are it was forged right here in Krasnoyarsk.
I've been so close to this city many times, but never got the chance to explore it firsthand. Well, the moment of truth has arrived - it's time to see if Krasnoyarsk lives up to its reputation!
I'm curious to witness the real golden rivers of Siberia or maybe even get a glimpse of the captivating palladium. Let's embark on this adventure together and discover the secrets of Krasnoyarsk! Can't wait to see what awaits us in this metal-rich wonderland!
Brilliant video! Thank you Tim! I live here in Krasnoyarsk, and it was very interesting to look at your impressions and emotions.

My son is a metallurgical scientist. He works in this factory.
How cool!
Thank you so much for making this video! Krasnoyarsk really has it all- nature, museums, culture and party spots. I love Siberia and my home city ❤ you did a splendid job on portraying it
thank you for the kind feedback!
Fantastic video! I love when you get to watch them pour gold. I work at a gold mine in the US and we pour our own also. It’s great to watch.
That is awesome!
Welcome to our beautiful Krasnoyarsk! The biggest pride of our city is the nature of Siberia that surrounds it! Our climate is really harsh, sharply continental, from -40 in winter to + 40 in summer. But there is beauty around the city - mountains, Taiga and Father Yenisei. Therefore, it is not surprising that even in the city center you can see not only gophers, but even foxes (on the same island). Tatyshev), beavers, owls, squirrels, and there are a lot of chipmunks and squirrels on the "Pillars", which are also all fed)).
Why are there ancient Greek statues, big ben and palm trees in Krasnoyarsk? These strange things appeared under the last governor Pimashkov, many did not like it, but all this has remained so until now. At the same time, Krasnoyarsk is an old city, it is almost 400 years old!
Here are also some interesting facts about Krasnoyarsk:
1. "Krasnoyarsk Pillars" is a national nature reserve half an hour's drive from the city center. The pillars themselves are volcanic formations at the bottom of the former ancient sea, which were formed about 370 million years ago.years, now there is a Taiga around them. The reserve is home to all kinds of Taiga animals (sable,
maral, musk deer, roe deer, brown bear, wolf, lynx, wolverine, fox, as well as small predators: weasel, ermine, columns and American mink, etc.)
2. Krasnoyarsk is an ancient Siberian center, it developed under the influence of caravan routes. Many merchants and industrialists, gold miners appeared here during the "gold rush".
3. Commander Ryazanov ("Juno and Maybe") died in Krasnoyarsk.
4. Saint Luke of Crimea lived and worked in Krasnoyarsk (he was a surgeon) after his exile in Siberia. Now on this place stands the church of John the Baptist in the center of the city.
5. Residents of Krasnoyarsk have won world championships in various types of motorsport more than 20 times. This is a world record.
6. In Krasnoyarsk there is a zoo "Roev Ruchey" (the old name of the area from the word dig, dig out gold). This is one of the largest Russian zoos, occupying an area of 31 hectares. His collection of animals is second only to the Moscow Zoo in diversity.
This institution was organized on the basis of the "living corner", which existed since 1947. Its first inhabitants were animals affected by poaching, mistreatment and carelessness of tourists: lynxes, wolves, bears, swans, foxes, birds of prey.
7. Krasnoyarsk is the birthplace of such famous people as V.Astafyev, V.Surikov, D. Hvorostovsky, and in general the Krasnoyarsk Territory is the birthplace of many famous woodpeckers of literature, culture, art, and sports.
8. Krasnoyarsk ranks 3rd in terms of the number of fountains in Russia.
9. "Tsarsky Bridge".
The railway bridge over the Yenisei was built in 1899, and in 1900 was awarded the Grand Prix and a Large Gold Medal at the World Exhibition in Paris along with the Eiffel Tower. The bridge was recognized for its "architectural excellence and excellent technical performance." Later, the Krasnoyarsk railway bridge was named by UNESCO scientists as "the pinnacle of human engineering."
10. The Yenisei has the most delicious water in Russia, and you can drink it from the tap cold calmly without a filter.
11. The Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater is recognized as one of the best in Russia.
There’s much to be proud of, that’s for sure 🙂

Unique video on Krasnoyarsk (KJA) !
2:53 - 3:03 nice burn targeting LA 😂
Visited KJA in Dec '22. Missed out on Krastsvetmet , hopefully next time !
Hi Timothy, so when will you visit Saint Petersburg? Cant wait to see you here!
Been there many times, just gotta get some videos out 🙂
i live in that city
Moving the capital would be a great idea. Great video
Great Video!)
love your videos
🙏🏻
next time! didn't have enough time to go there but now I have to go back one day to film Stolby
this work is incredible, i appreciate the professionalism of your team!
Thanks! They’re real pros, don’t know what I’d do without them.
Reminded me of my visit to this place. You shared the experience of being in Krasnoyarsk incredibly well. Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Dmitri Hvorostovsky's birthplace!
Krasnoyarsk means red mountain city (красный яр, яр это часть горы). Because there arr red rocks and mountains around the city
Rich country
next time!
I live in Krasnoyarsk and subscribed to you.)) And you didn't even come to visit.😂😂
Next time 🙂
@@novosibirsktravelguide8582; Perhaps if one were to reach-out to his producers, and ask that the video be modified in-term. As far as I’m aware, Kirby has lived in Russia for more than a decade, and has more basic knowledge of Russia than do the vast majority of any westerners. Dialogue must be in the forefront, to correct honest errors in understanding.
you have russian sarcasm)
I try 🙂
Novosibirsk is the capital of Siberia.
*Why are you fooling people? The capital of Siberia is Novosibirsk. Everyone in Russia knows this...*
And Krasnoyarsk is the city with the dirtiest air in the world!
@@fermatichebellosei1595 Troll?
Dirtier than Beijing or New Delhi, really?
@@screammer316 I wouldn't trust all these ratings, there are way too many highly questionable ratings out there that make you go WTF?! But yeah Krasnoyarsk _sometimes_ has problems with air during night time, probably because coal is widely used in the region.
