I have never been to Russia but enjoy watching videos like this with a real person talking to us. You did an amazing job with the video. In fact you spoke so fondly about your city that I thought towards the end you will change your mind and decide to remain there. Really enjoyed this. Thank you.
This is great! I’ve been to Russia a few times (Moscow, Samara, St Petersburg) and all over Ukraine & Belarus, and this brings back happy memories. Yes, the sleeper train I once travelled on wasn’t quite as nice as that, but it was good enough (my rail trip was 15 years ago.) Seeing how people live their daily lives reminds me of what I already know… prejudice and propaganda between east and west are the domain of the politicians, but the vast majority of the people I’ve met in Russia have been good, decent, responsible and friendly to me as a foreigner, ready to help and happy to talk. So it’s no surprise that I married a Russian girl 11 years ago and we have a beautiful Anglo-Russian daughter (your pretty niece reminds me of her!)
Yes I think if we could get rid of the politicians, the bankers, the wealthy elites, we would all be free from their tyranny, and we would all be better off.
I've love both of your videos! You both do a great job with video videography and narration. Although I have been to Russia myself it's so much easier and cheaper to travel vicariously through you!
Hi from San Francisco! I have been to Moscow and St Petersburg. They are one of the most beautiful citiess I have ever seen because the are very unique. I love your videos because they are different tooo. Please post more videos with your very cute niece and nephew 👧👦
These places are nice because,They have not been over run with refugees, russian people are proud of their culture and their religion, not like l. Western Europe
You have introduced me to a world I never knew and this is trully beautiful and educational. I have travelled around the world and I just love how you take people on this journey through your videos. These videos are AWESOME. Thank you for opening my eyes.
I was in Perm in the end of July. Perm is a lovely city! You can clearly city how it's developing really fast. Really many buildings and parks are under construction. The tram and bus systems is in a good condition relatively to other citites. The main mosque is just outstandly beautiful. The promenade by the Kama river is also really good. Also people in Perm seemed to me really friendly and open to talk relatively to Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and Siberia. A lot of youth in the center which obviosly a good sign. Good city definitely would visit again. Btw I'm from Chelyabinsk :)
Thanks so much for the video, Eli! Very nice and quite city to raise a family ! You might come back to Perm at some point in the future! Never say never!
As much as i'm looking forward to visiting other countries (I will start next year!), we Canadians as well as Russians are lucky because we have such vast and diverse countries that we could literally travel inside our own nation for our whole lifetime and never run out of places to see. I have gone across Canada on the train over 35 times and i still feel like i have seen so very little of it ❤️
Your niece and nephew are adorable. Thanks for sharing, great video for I’ve visited Moscow and St. Petersburg, but never some of the mid-sized to smaller cities further in Russia’s interior. Your video tour was fantastic! Best of luck, stay healthy, and safe travels!!!
Last month I was in Perm to travel further to the city of Berezniki in the Perm region. It was quite different to what I was imagining when I was in my hometown in Germany. But it was a great stay, especially the people are so kind and welcoming. I’m already looking forward to come back next year for a longer time.
Great video! Thank you for sharing. A friend once gave me great advice. She said, "Bloom where you are planted." She meant that I should focus on where I am from and appreciate it rather than wandering.
This was a very interesting video. I am enjoying seeing what it is like in Russia. Yes, I would like to see more of small villages and towns and country side. I have been watching some other videos on Russia and I am quite amazed at how beautiful it is. I am from USA and what I have seen so far makes me think I would like to live in Russia.
Eli, I loved the tour of Perm. I see it as a desirable place to live [been to Moscow, St Pete, Nizhny Novgorod, and Cheboksary, and am married to a wonderful Russian woman, Antonina [for 14 years now], and LOVE the Russian people. Stigmatism about both of our countries is a terrible thing as Russian and American alike enjoy the same things love, warmth, food and a place to raise a family.
Your niece and nephew are adorable. Russia is a big, beautiful country that has considerable variety in its geography. I could see myself living in many of the rural or subrural areas. Thanks for giving us a look at your home region.
I first heard of Perm as a child, but knew nothing about the city. At that age I was interested in dinosaurs and I remember there was a period called the Permian that was a period before the main dinosaur age.
There is actually a historic connection between Russia and Australia which many Russians are familiar with and that is Anna Pavlova. She was a world renowned Russian ballerina in the early 20th century and did a tour of New Zealand and Australia . And as a tribute a cake was made and named in her honor the Pavlova. I'm sure as an Australian u would be familiar with that cake but maybe not the history behind it?
this is the place pending my first visit from India. I have a wonderful friend here. I have seen much of PERM in google. thank you for this awesome video. Russia is my favourite place to visit from my childhood. good luck and best wishes in your endeavours ...😄
Your tour of the city of Perm was awesome...I loved it. I once had a friend from Perm and it looked like a small town on the map..but now I know it's a beautiful city ..wish you would travel to other cities like Irkutsk on the lake Baikal in your upcoming vlogs! Poka poka!
This is the first video of yours that I've seen Eli and I loved it. I loved the warmth, the normality, and it is all genuine and from the heart. Sure, Perm does not look like Moscow or St Petersburg but that doesn't matter!! It looks like a nice city, a nice place for people to live, and you presented it with much love and pride. Even if you do feel the need to travel to other places! I think your plan to travel and do videos within your own country is fantastic. My experience of Russia is a 6 week trip to Moscow, St Petersburg, Kazan and Elabuga (also on the Kama!), where we stayed with my wife's family. We met her friends and family all through our trip and travelled everywhere by train. It was great to see the places that normal, ordinary Russian people live and to be welcomed into their homes. Such warm, friendly and positive people! It comes through in your video and I am looking forwrd to seeing more. :)
Wonderful. Love to see cities in Russia that foreigners don't often get to visit. Yes, Moscow and St. Petersburg are amazing, but it's so great to see the out of the way places that are also worth seeing. Thank you.
Wow, there is so much to see and do in Perm. What a place to print currencies and other documentation. Street musicians and cruise ships. Thank you for sharing this with us and stay safe, from Henrico County Virginia.
I so hope to be able to visit Russia by train someday; I don't really know when that will be possible again, but it is definitely worthy! Saluti dall'Italia! =)
Be proud of your own country : that's why I look at your videos like I do with Sergey Baklikov Russian Plus Я Russia Etc... Your videos is helpful to discover or better understand your beautiful country. For me - from France - the most important differences concern homogeneity of the population , quality of education. I do appreciated your food : traditionnal or gourmet one. Soups, pirochkis , blinis , buckwheat of course. Your country is still underrated for tourism. I think it's still a consequence of URSS bad image in the west. You have a fabulous potential for tourism developpment : beautiful countries , safe and pretty towns , welcoming population. Your videos are very important to give an objective vision of your country. I know there is a tendancy in Russia considering things are necessarily better in the west : that's less and less the case. I know many people who want to leave our country and try something else elsewhere, especially to give their children a safe living environment and a quality education. Dissidents changed camp. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you, Eli, for giving us an overview of your hometown. It's nice to see other cities in Russia besides Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Vladivostok. You provide a lot of energy and fast-paced shots so your videos are quite entertaining and informative

They are good and decent until they are asked by their owner to kill other people and conquer other countries
I married a russian woman 10 years ago. I agree absolutely with you.
Fantastic video. Enjoyed visiting Perm and seeing normal life there. Greetings from New Zealand!
Great video! I loved visiting Perm. Definitely an underrated city 🙂
I've love both of your videos! You both do a great job with video videography and narration. Although I have been to Russia myself it's so much easier and cheaper to travel vicariously through you!
Thank you to you both :)
Why do I get the sense the two of you will have a collaboration soon!
A very interesting video. And Eli, you’re beautiful and so lovely.

Great video, your beautiful the ginger haired niece takes after her beautiful aunt Eli. -- Perm itself is great and a great place to be!

Btw I'm from Chelyabinsk :)
...Mr. Good One...
Thanks so much for the video, Eli!
Very nice and quite city to raise a family !
You might come back to Perm at some point in the future!
Never say never!
Perm! it's just 5 hours from Yekaterinburg.
How does this translte?
I just learn Perm is in Europe and Yakutenberg is in Asia!

It's so nice of you to support your Russian colleagues @RussianPlus 👍😊
As much as i'm looking forward to visiting other countries (I will start next year!), we Canadians as well as Russians are lucky because we have such vast and diverse countries that we could literally travel inside our own nation for our whole lifetime and never run out of places to see. I have gone across Canada on the train over 35 times and i still feel like i have seen so very little of it ❤️
Really love to see the different parts of Russia!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🥰🌻🍦🙅♀️

Russia Guy".
Perm is veeery pretty...many thanks for opening the doors to lesser known areas of this beautiful world! Keep up with the good work!
Nice vlog, thank you!)) There’s a lot reconstructions in a city happening right now due to a soon 300 birthday. Greetings from Perm❤

Eli, I loved the tour of Perm. I see it as a desirable place to live [been to Moscow, St Pete, Nizhny Novgorod, and Cheboksary, and am married to a wonderful Russian woman, Antonina [for 14 years now], and LOVE the Russian people. Am impressed with your VLOG, am subscribed now, and look forward to seeing future videos. Keep up the good work. Jim DIXON
Great vid! I am looking forward to more from you. Thanks for showing us your amazing country!
Eli congratulations for your channel I'm from Brazil but I really like the Russian countryside I love to see your videos very cultural and charming I already gave my laki congratulations strong hug from Brazil
You are very gifted for conveying basic information into interesting content…stick with it, i’m sure it will bring you happiness and success!! Good luck and regards from Serbia 🇷🇸
Not having an Instagram account, unfortunately i can’t participate in promoting your channel; nevertheless, i really like your cross-marketing initiative, i don’t recall seeing anyone else doing something similar. I’m sure that this initiative will provide positive results!! Ciao
I am the eclectic lot I love videos about out of the way small places, and love Russia very much.
Don't wait anymore. Just come to putins Russia.
Very nice city and region. I also liked the train. It looks very much like the trains here. Beautiful place.

I first heard of Perm as a child, but knew nothing about the city. At that age I was interested in dinosaurs and I remember there was a period called the Permian that was a period before the main dinosaur age.
The little redhead is your mini-me.
I bet that city is very safe.
Being Australian I was impressed that your neice knew of my country. Thankyou for helping me update my knowledge a little on your country.

If this is your first vlog, you killed it. Your vlog has everything- a logical narrative, interesting flow, strong visuals and never boring. Good editing. Keep this up and you will have a million subscribers before you know it. Subscribed! Good luck from Seattle USA

@@ElifromRussia Russian women seem to be travelling a lot. There's ton of them in Paris, as well.
So far pretty articulate and usually well-spoken.
Don't know if it's because we're getting the upper crust here, or because the school system still teaches stuff in Russia, contrary to in the West.
But anyways...
@@goofygrandlouis6296 less to do with education and more to do with drive and desire. Conversely, how many countries with completely different socioeconomic structures have you purposely lived in outside of your own, and attempted to assimilate to? Because you'll find that a large chunk of successful expats aren't 'upper crust' - we're people who understand that the world is a bug place, and that perspective is everything.
