How do you dare travelling to Russia in these times? What of they arrest you on some bull sh*t charge and send you to the gulags? Every now and then we can read in the papers that some westerner been arrested. I would really like to go to Russia, but not during the current system and the very strange war in Ukraine.

I live in Krasnoyarsk, but i never heard even from officials that we been called "Capital of Siberia", oftenly i heard Novosibirsk has been called like this. I love my city, it has bad and good like every place but i love it.

Hi, Tim Kirby. Thank you for the beautiful shots of my city and interesting story. The city is really quite interesting and convenient. Finding a good job with normal wages is not a problem. But there is 1 big problem and 1 small one. 1. This is ecology. The city is often among the most polluted in the world!! All because of the many factories and stove and coal heating. I could always eat when there was no wind!! The problem is not being solved; coal has been the main fuel and remains so. We need gas or a nuclear power plant. Near the city, about 60 km, there is a large nuclear waste storage facility. Another one is under construction. 2. Weather. Summer is short and sometimes very unpredictable. There is no autumn, nor spring, since these seasons are often similar to winter. Winter is nasty. It happens -30, -40, and the next day it’s -5. It’s hard for people with vascular problems. So it goes. P.S.The aluminum plant also greatly pollutes the already dirty city.

The most disgusting city, the people are all evil and Nazis, only the nature is beautiful and that’s it, everything is crap everywhere, even in the center, no one cares about each other... It’s impossible to walk in winter, especially in spring when there’s ice, nothing is cleaned not in the center, especially on the outskirts city, apparently until the officials themselves break off their hooves in 20 places, no one does anything, no one cleans it, it’s just one big pigsty!!!! And you just walk and hear everywhere this woof woof woof They are always fighting with each other... It’s a creepy place and it all starts from the airport, the people are not hospitable and unfriendly at all, I don’t advise any foreign citizens to stay in this terrible place... they were savages and they still are, it seems on the contrary, degradation is going on))

Самый стрёмный город, люди все злые и нацисты, только природа красивая и всё, всё засрано везде даже в центре, всем друг на друга наплевать... Зимой ходить невозможно особенно к весне когда гололёд, ничего не чистят не в центре тем более на окраинах города, видимо пока сами чиновники пока себе копыта не обломают в 20 местах никто ничего не делает не чистит, просто один большой свинарник!!!! И только идёшь и слышишь везде это гав Гав Гав д Вечно собачятся друг с другом... Стрёмное место и начинается все с аэропорта, люди вообще не гостеприимные и недоброжелательные, никому не советую из иностранных граждан остановиться в этом жутком месте.. как были дикарями так и остались кажется наоборот деградация идёт))

Хах, я с Красноярска и прикольно, что у нас побывал американец :) 6:17 - эта зелёная штука вроде не хмель, это большая шишка) Такие по городу раскиданы во всяких скверах. В сквере серебряном есть красная, мы на неё с другом лазили х) Не знаю зачем они, но вроде как это потому, что у нас кругом много хвойных деревьев И о боже, да, 7:32 я тоже не понимаю прикол современного искусства, для меня это тоже пустая трата полезных ресурсов и какая то глупость. Никак не могу понять тех, кто что-то в этом видят

Красноярск - называется так, потому что основан был казаками как крепость ( казачий острог ) на ЯРУ. ЯР - крутой берег. Красный яр потому, что состоит из красной глины. Вот и весь смысл названия. К яркости вообще никакого отношения не имеет! "Загадочная зелёная большая штука" - это шишка. В Сибири много кедров. Это кедровая шишка. Из шишек получают кедровые орехи. Очень полезный и вкусный продукт.
