this was so cool ! personally i dont plan on running the game, but i watched it while drawing/playing and i got a better understanding for strats and fights i never really knew about from the streams, like how much of a strat is is for sertian bossfights ( i knew some but not all) And you explained it all really well! also taking the time to show us a perfect fight too, (or a clip) was also really nice c: keep up the good work ! would love seeing a strat guide for BBS 2.0 sometime maybe in the future ! or other games for that matter because this was fun c:

Personally, I've been writing up my own shorthand guide by following this run, plus the standard guide, plus the menuing notes. It's taking awhile, but it's effective for sure.
I know this is kinda old, but is there any plans to do a beginner any% tutorial? I've been losing a stupid amount of time to Genie Jafar due to Iago just flying around on the sides where you can't hit him. Been wondering if there is some trick to manipulating his movements or something? Also Anti-Sora tutorial would be awesome. Your tutorials have been the most helpful so I'm really hoping for a beginner any% tutorial sometime in the near future. Just a few little things I would love to hear your tips on. Thanks for all the info! Also if anyone knows, I've been wondering if timing Ars Arcanum reaction commands makes any difference over just mashing triangle, since it seems alot of speedrunners just mash it. I know in kh2 it works better to time it, but im not sure about kh1. It seems when I time it Sora gets staggered out of it less, staggers enemies more often and also seems to deal slightly more damage. But I could definitly be wrong.

Hi Violin, is there much of a difference between this and the beginner speed run? And would you say there’a a mode that’s best for newbies to start with?
I'm also wondering this cause I've been using this alongside a written guide I found for beginner, plus the menu notes that Violin posted for beginner. I have noticed a few differences between the menu notes and the menu stuff done in this tutorial for standard so I'm curious which one I should do or if it doesn't really matter.

hello, i have a question about a trophy/success. (if you are familiar with it) do you know if you can save the "don't change equipment" and the speedster trophy at some point, get the speedrun trophy and then load the other save where I'm not allowed to change the equipment. Then I level up for a while and then continue .do you know if that's the case with the trophy? 😅
yeah you can, if u play to the last boss, save, change equipments take the boss, reload and not change equipment this time that should work fine. just make sure to have two seperate saves just to be sure u dont accidentally save over etc c:
I used to run this game back in the day and holy crap things have changed lol. I cried tears of joy knowing I don't have to do hippo hops anymore.

I was actually planning on trying kh1 speed running this summer! Once I get it down I’ll try recording some attempts:)

Wanting to do a run of beginner mode to get the no equipment change achievement after I finish this Proud Mode run I am doing for achievements.
How are you attacking with the circle button?
The PC version lets you swap attack buttons

Yes it does, except for some of the save warping strats (due to load times)
