What helped me out the utmost on this was when you stated it would fire on the #4 when both marks were at 12 O'clock. I think my '91 tracker was 180 off for months and it eventually caused a #3 failure. I guess I just have to watch for the rotor to be pointing at #4 when I put the distributor back on the new head. Haynes manuals mention nothing about this. Thanks
how do you get the camshaft out of the 1.3? i think its an '87. the dist drive is removed, the rocker assembly is off, looks like it could be front or back but i cannot get it to come out. there is a bit of lash, but it will not come out front or back. also, i noticed, the cam doesn't spin freely 360 degrees. there are tight spots and a small spot it feels right. is it possible the cam is warped or the head is warped? maybe bearings? someone worked on it and idk what happed after that, or how long its been. just tryin to help a friend out.
hay am really thankful of you and this video coz not only valve adjustment i also learn a timing... can i hav your email or fb we can chat sometime regarding my suzuki sidekick ?thank you
Camshaft comes out the back of the head, Camshaft will not come out the front. Tappets and rocker arms need to be completely "tension off" almost best to remove the arms and shafts as well. Those also come out the back of the head; don't try to pull them out the front.

89 suzuky samurai timing is 180 off will this affect performance?

Is it nessary to place the 10mm adjuster nut under the rockerarm
not a facebook fan, so question...what is the gap adjustment value for OEM camshaft?
I've been told thus needs to be done every 40,000km. Is this true?
Besides it will fire on the exhaust stroke and not run at all, no it will not affect performance
