I work at a nursing home Housekeeping and have been wearing my twa and one of my favorite residents was like there goes you and that gorgeous beautiful hair I wish my hair was like that. you know all the old white ladies get curly perms she’s so sweet

Sadly, women allow society to determine how they look. Most are not even happy with themselves looking like themselves. Like really? I love me, my natural hair and my beautiful face without all of that makeup either!
Head wraps are my go to. I wear my Locs out but I mostly keep my head covered for spiritual reasons. I never thought I’ll be tired of weave. I don’t even look right in a wig anymore to me 🤷🏾♀️😂
I totally agree! I was never a serious weave wearer but in the summer, I would wear like goddess braided. My hair was long but I cut it all all and went natural! Theeee best! I could never wear all that hair glue, sewed and stuck to my scalp! You are the bomb girl!
I’ve been wearing my twa for about two weeks now. I did because I’m self aware of the limiting beliefs I had about my hair. The crazy thing is people still call me beautiful and I’ve gotten compliments on my hair. Not that compliments confirm my worth but they are definitely proving my old beliefs wrong I never thought anyone would compliment my hair in its short natural state but they do. It’s kind of like how do we expect others to appreciate our hair if we don’t give them a chance to even see it to be able to appreciate it. Same with ourselves appreciating our hair we gotta get used to it

My mom hates my natural hair lol. She has been perming my hair since I was 6 cause my curls were too much. I recently cut my hair off to start going completely natural.. yk what she did? She made me perm my hair again!! I barely even have hair like why!! Also, I like buying wigs cause I like doing experiments and don't what to use my natural hair
You're very intelligent and you should keep on loving your true self. I have hair like yours and I love it ! I feel so earthly and beautiful and healthy. It's just something about being natural that makes you feel closer to the earth and just makes life easier! Also your hair looks great!
You are 100% right I wear wigs in the winter I braid my hair dwn and switch my wigs and they was all kinky curly till I realized I do flate iron my hair so I got straight hair to just in my real length but I love my protection style so I'm not manipulating my hair so much and it grows like crazy during that time and in summer an spring I do my afro puff balls pineapple etc put i do notice it stops growing fast in them months but I agree wear hair that looks like its yours texture length etc but I do flat iron so I do own on straight wig thats in my profile pic my hair is long an thick hard to manage most days but I'm loving it when ppl compliment it no matter how I feel it looks I thank them so much cause I no my hair is beautiful thanks for sharing 👑
Yes I have only worn a wig for maybe a few years out of life. I have always been natural and I want to stay that way. Long silky hair looks like a wet mop. My own hair is beautiful the way it is. I know there are perceptions in jobs about hair but I would rather style my own hair in an appropriate style than wear a mop on my head that isn't mine, or from a dead person

I love watching these kind of videos I've been wearing my natural hair in wash and go's or mini twists and my hair has been growing like a weed in the cold winter months I usually do a silk press but other than that I really had to let go of the wigs and the weaves I just became to obsessed and reliant on them to the point it was starting to make me feel insecure about my hair and once I was able to do that I feel so confident about my hair now and idc what anyone has to say about it ❤

I think what you’re doing is beautiful but we do have to consider that we live in a harsh society which means certain jobs will consider natural hair unprofessional especially in an Afro they will call it uncapped we have seen over and over how they discriminate against dreadlocks so some people don’t have the freedom of wearing their natural hair because they wouldn’t be able to work at a certain job how many lawyers you see where their natural hair how many doctors you see where their natural hair these rules were set out mini years ago it’s a harsh reality so it’s not always self hate sometimes people just do what they have to do to make their money so let’s keep that in mind

I wear my hair out all the time but I do keratin treatments and color. If I wear weave which may be 1x per year is during winter just because.
