    Ingredients:
    Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI Powder) - 28 grams
    Cocomidopropyl Betaine (CAPB) - 8.5 grams
    Kokum Butter - 3 grams
    Stearic Acid - 3 grams
    Neem Oil - 3 grams
    Neem Powder - 3 grams
    Essential Oils - 1 gram (Equal parts of Tea Tree, Rosemary, lemon)
    Preservative - 0.25 grams ( I used ISCAguard PEG )
    Tips and Substitutions:
    Kokum Butter can be replaced with cocoa butter, shea butter, mango butter.
    Neem Oil and Neem powder can't be replaced as these are our star ingredients.
    Use Essential Oils of your choice. I chose Tea Tree, Rosemary and lemon as these have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Check the usage rates here.

    Preservatives are mandatory while making shampoo bar. Even though we did not use any water in the recipe, the shampoo bar will be constantly in contact with water. Without preservatives, it will be a positive ground for mould formation.

    Usage:
    Apply directly on wet hair and lather it up with your hands.
    Wash off with water.
    Shampoo's are meant to be used on scalp not on the ends of hair.

    I made this shampoo bar, it came out well. If I'd want to add a conditioning emulsifier, which one to use ? Can I replace stearic acid for it ?

    How long until an unused bar expires? Also, I noticed that the preservative you use is in liquid form. If I use powder sodium benzoate as an alternative, do I just put it in directly or do I need to dissolve it first? Thank you for the awesome video!

    Your description has an error, it says it's meant to be used on the scalp and not the roots. Did you mean to say the ends? So this does not replace actual shampoo if it isn't safe to use on all of your hair.

    • @KraftBee
      @KraftBee  3 роки тому +2

      Yeah it's a mistake. Thanks for noticing. I changed it to ends. Shampoo Bar is completely safe to use.

    you do not need preservative in shampoo bars it is the same as putting preservative in a soap. it makes no sense!

    • @KraftBee
      @KraftBee  3 роки тому +2

      You cannot compare a soap and syndet shampoo bar as they both have different pH range. We definitely should add preservative in syndet shampoo bar, as it's pH range will be around 5. This low pH environment will act as a brooding ground for bacteria and moulds. That's not the case in soap. Please read more about it.
