Hi crew, love the idea of a melt and pour shampoo bar. Here is one for the test kitchen... Shred the different colours mix them up and use the bath bomb press to press all the shreds back together, that way you have a multi coloured bar with attitude. I have always though that pressing shred would be a good way of using any soap shreds. Also you could add different hair additives to each colour... Cheers from OZ
Eeee congratulations on 900k! I've been watching since you were making soap in your parents' barn/shed! You deserve every success in this world, Katie!
Oh, how I love those moon soap molds from Ophelia's Soap! I am not a soapmaker but have purchased some moon soaps from Julie at Ophelia's Soap. Katie and Julie are my 100% most favorite soapmakers ever. Wonderful soaps, and such charming videos. Thanks, Katie!
Oh my! This is such great news. I’m having so much trouble formulating a shampoo and conditioner bar. I hope it is not drying to the hair. I hope they come out with a conditioner bar as well. Thank you for sharing!😘
Katie I just love your enthusiasm for encouraging people to dip their toe into your world ♥️ One of the kindest and most positive business owners and people in general that I’ve ever come across. You are a truly wonderful person XX
I am one of those crazy people that has all the ingredients for this. Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Propylene Glycol Glyceryl Stearate, Aqua, Glycerin. Good to know this exists. I just made a traditional glycerin melt and pour. When I remelted it I added SCI for shites and giggles. Waiting to try it out.
I JUST MADE 6 Bars! In 3 I love that I do not need a press and can mix essential oils and natural colors. I added a little calendula infused organic jojoba oil in half the batch for my 2 really curls 'afro' haired-friends to try. Stay tuned

🧼🫧It’s been about a week that I received my first order from royalty soaps. I am SO impressed. I love how my skin feels after using it. Not too dry or tight. Just really clean and soft. The scents are not overpowering either. I have a sensitivity to many perfumes (and chemicals). No, zero, nada headaches. I have tried the honey soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Very nice. The blameless shampoo and conditioner are also nice. I LOVE the peppermint candy soap! It smells so dang good. It’s probably a Christmas soap but I’m using it all summer. I just ordered some more soap to try different scents and an agave shampoo bar. I’m so excited, hehee! 😆 Side note, the Nintendo princess inspired soaps are so stinking cute. My 16 yr old (also a Katie 😉) ran off with the princess peach soap. She thinks it’s too pretty to use. Lol…I’ll get her to try it soon. Thank you, Katie, for great quality products. 😁
This looks like such a fun project! Will definitely check out if I can get hold of some base here in Norway. Talking of stained glass, did you know that UN has declared 2022 the year of glass? So stained glass art has special focus now :)

Hi Katie, I’ve been using this for a while now, here’s a tip for you. Use the Zeni colours for melt and pour , micas tend to look a bit grainy and don’t work to good. Zeni colours are only made for melt and pour bases, they are awesome, hope this helps. Sheila xxxx
Iv been making these for years n was always told that there's no such thing as a Melt & Pour Shampoo Bar using Stephenson Brand Bases. Iv added Shea butter, Mango butter, Hempseed Oil, jojoba oil etc. Iv always believed and used the Double boiler method as you don't have the cloudyness, I put my Mica in a lil rubbing alcohol before adding to. I use very detailed moulds
Go figure I spent the last six months formulating a shampoo bar and a conditioner bar and this comes up. 🤦🏻♀️ but that’s OK because I am incredibly proud of my formulas 🥰 now others can enjoy the opportunity of doing something DIY like this.
About 3-4 months I bought this base because I saw your video. What I did was - I melted down all my shampoo bars that were too small to use in the shower. I took some of the base and melted it with it. I also did the same for the conditioner bars. I used the conditioner base. Thankyou for reviewing this as this actually turned out to be a useful and budget friendly way to stretch out my shampoo & conditioner bars. My hair is super soft.
I tested this a few month back here in the UK and it's true it does make a great general shampoo, hair felt clean and soft but I would also say that it doesn't last very long, not as long as CP does and no where near as long a traditional shampoo bars. For me personally the soap voice in the back of my brain kept saying "but you didn't make it, Stephenson's did!" so I've continued with the traditional presses shampoo bars. This would be great for people new to the craft or kids.
@@nancytguimaraes Difficult to say because it depends how often a person washes their hair and how much hair they have, for me, short male hair washed daily it lasted 3 weeks where as my pressed solid shampoo bars last me 4 months. The Syndopour is perfect if you're going on holiday for a week its all you would need to take to wash your hair and use it as a body wash.
In the UK too and wondered about trying these. Just had my shampoo bar assessed and whilst they are great, I hate working with SCI (and multiple ingredients) and wondered if these would be worth considering. Interesting they don't last long and like you, my head would say "I didn't make them"
You still need to spray rubbing alcohol between each layer to help each layer stick otherwise your layers will separate and break apart and on the top to remove the bubbles n it helps to spray the mould before using
HOly crap, I need to research this for Australia. I can't use soap anymore because of my lymphedema legs. I've been told quite sternly by my physician NOT to use soap. This opens up SO many options for me to make my own cleansing bars and liquids without using a soap base!!! I"M SO EXCITED!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this information, I didn't see this until about a year after you posted it, but I bought some Syndopour, it came a couple of days ago, I made some shampoo bars yesterday and washed my hair with it, I didn't even need a rinse and my hair feels soft and healthy. I gave a bar to a friend to have her family test it out. I have never considered Melt and Pour before as I love soapmaking (not soap crafting), but syn-det shampoo bars make so much sense for me as we have hard water here and other shampoo bars haven't worked well for me without a vinegar rinse.
