Canonically in the MCU Bruce has been the Hulk for 15 years. You would think his COUSIN, a direct family member, would sympathise with the struggle after all the shit he's been through.. but nope, gotta play up her misandrist selfish nature.
The very fact that she even feels a constant anger over such things instead of just letting them slip by, like a wise person would do any time that a stupid remark would be thrown towards him or her, already shows that she has unresolved anger issues.
@@daneyal7162 I mean she better be an expert in dealing with she her anger because if she’s triggered over such minute small things such as that then she seriously needs therapy.
Don't forget another major Hulk character arc happening off screen: Him stealing She Hulk's healing factor to heal his arm. 🤦 You know the same Hulk we've already seen heal before.
Bruce Banner lost his healing ability after merging with the hulk to create Professor Hulk (Smart Hulk). This was mentioned before outside of film, but if he still had his heal-factor, he would've healed the snap nearly instantly. Also, the snap is described as "so much energy it could light up a continent". Even the strongest of characters would have a very hard time tanking the power of the snap, and without Hulk's healing, he's nothing more than a strong green man that is slightly less powerful than she-hulk, because she wasn't merged with herself. In short, Smart Hulk will not heal back the snap. Or at least it would take a long time with such immense energy.

I'm getting tried of saying this: We don't want STRONG female characters. We want strong female CHARACTERS. A female character being physically stronger or just better than the men is never supposed to be a defining character trait.
Dont know if this is a good example for you but there's this one cool female character from Arknights. Her name is Degenbrecher (Aka The Black Knight). She lives in a place with her same kind where people talk down to others who cant use "arts" (basically magic in their world). Because Black Knight's race is known to be familiar and use arts and have this high standards with it, hence, they bully people in the same race who can't be a decent arts user. Black Knight is one of those people who couldn't use arts due to clinical (?) reasons so her people belittle her. But she knows that she can still be stronger by dealing with her physical body and strength. Black Knight won 3-times champion from a major knight competition that is known for using arts legally, without even using arts but rather her physical strength itself. Again, her motivation of becoming stronger has nothing to do with gender, but because of how her kind talks down to her for not living to the kind's standards.
@@sherlockoberon_akomi9781 My go to example is usually Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on Titan. She's by far the strongest female character and the 2nd most powerful character in the whole series. Yet not once is that used as some kind of woke "Look at this strong independent woman who's way better than all the men!" shit. Whenever characters talk of her strength, they never mention her gender. Not once. (to my memory anyway) because both the characters and the reader recognises that it doesn't matter. Plus there's just a lot more to her character arc than just being a strong woman
Take Bruces struggle with the Hulk. Having to grapple with a literal monster on the inside and get rid of all that. Just make her turn into a green WNBA player. Her stuggle is learning to be a Girlboss while being green
You just dont understand her issues... Sure hulk may have had a horrible life with a demon literally living inside of him that brought him to attempting to end his life, the inability to feel too much emotions for the sake of people around him, going on a rampage that killed tons of people, losing years of his life while on an alien planet with no memories to make up for it, lost two women he loved, and two of his best friends, but shes a girl boss who has to deal with men who are mean for the sake of being mean, who explain her job to her. Oh and shes has to deal with being a girlboss while being green, her struggles are unmatched.
You know it's the same in the comics too. And she-hulk is an amazing character in the comics, she's more fun to read then Hulk in her own ways, while Hulk is more fun to read then She-Hulk in his own ways. Her being a bad character is not her having no alter-ego to struggle with.
@@IronIsKing it can be whatever it is in the comics doesn't make that compelling. People in third world contries have it worse than her, hell people in 1st world countries have it far worst than her

Right on. They tried to capitalise off of Better Call Saul’s popularity, completely ignoring that the lawyering is only a portion of the show. There’s an entire storyline involving the cartel, which could never possibly have a parallel in she-hulk. At all. Also, Saul actually HAS struggles in the show. He has an older brother, Chuck, who’s the main antagonist for the first three seasons. Hell, chuck’s the reason he loses his lawyer job for a whole year in season 4.
As much as I hate this series the fact that she manages to control herself without training when she hulks out is actually correct. Bruce can't control his transformation because he suffers from dissociative personality disorder: the hulk is literally another person that lives within him
It started out as an alter ego for she hulk as well. It took her a while to be normal Jennifer while in she hulk form, even it was much faster than Hulk
@Nix91 I think Ragnarok actually did do the separate entity thing well. Hulk felt like he had a personality and wasn't just a mindless raging beast. Now yes, that's Hulks appeal but when he's not angry at something he should be normal and cooled off but still ready to fight.
It's also because her hulk form is substantially weaker than Bruce's. She basically has a lite-version of what he has, owing to the fact that her powers came from a transfusion while his came from full, direct exposure.
As a woman, I gotta say…this doesn’t make me feel empowered at all. This little misandry trend that movies have been doing these past years is just eye-rolling. In literal cave man talk, they want to say “Man bad, woman perfect” ugggghhhh. It’s like Mulan being better than everyone but she has to “hide her chi” when in the original she literally grew along with her fellow soldiers as well as use her cleverness. Same thing here with She-Hulk. As a huge comic book reader, She-Hulk is a likable & cool character. Here she is just annoying & unlikable with her “I’m better than you attitude because WOMAN ooh ahh ahh”. Just make good CHARACTERS! You know, characters that are imperfect and go through an arc and still remain imperfect but learned something throughout that journey that made them become better or worse people. Idk this trashing on men trend is so dumb. Like “omg was Steve a virgin? Omg he wasn’t” WHO CARES!!! So what if he was. Jesus. Leave the man alone. If they were questioning “Was Nat a virgin?” Whew it’d be so controversial. What’s “equal rights” about that??? Again just make good characters! I can’t, this is annoying. I’m done ranting bye ✌️
As a man, it is annoying watching people get shit on. Don't write women who just happen to be superheroes, write superheroes who just happen to be women. If this doesn't make sense, look back at old justice league cartoons, (from what i can recall) wonder woman was a well written character that didnt need special treatment, she was simply wonder woman, as superman was simply Superman. Another good thing i found was in top gun: maverick. SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN OR IF YOU ARE INTERESTED: They literally wrote a, and I quote, "strong female character" just into the story because thats how it went. It didn't need anything special, they didnt need to explain anything. Hell, they (other pilots) even sometimes poked fun at her and she bit back by simply flying well and showing she deserves to be there. Idk if this rant even made sense, but TL;DR just write a character as a hero, or a protagonist, or even an antagonist, NOT as a woman or a man. Doing that is what ruins the script because it fills it with lackluster information. Hope that made sense, peace.
I ADORE She-Hulk in the comics. In the Dan Slott run,she actually had an arc and a lot of personality. And it's great! All of her solo comic runs I have read were so much better. So seeing her being presented in this way for this show is just not good. Hopefully Marvel/Disney proves me wrong with the later episodes. But as of right now,I am not feeling their take on She-Hulk.
I feel like the fourth wall break should’ve been a She-Hulk only thing. It’d work in opposition to hulks alter ego. Where he has another person in his head she has the audience.
@@jarjarwalter1962 See Marvel fans call this annoying bcuz we are used to having meaning in movies which is what we've been having since 2012. That's why we have some saying that this show is funny while others say that it's disappointing and not good.
As a woman (you know, their target audience who is in dire need of empowerment🙃), I find their "feminist" takes insulting and awfully patronizing. Being catcalled and "mansplained" at > suicide attempt and abusive father? Yeah, suuuuure... I miss the old MCU so much.
They completely ruined the She-Hulk/Titania rivalry. Their feud started during Secret Wars. I know they can't show that, but having Titania break through the wall like Kool-Aid Man was stupid. The scene is actually a bad remake of an actual comic. Titania calls out She-Hulk, who at this point is in permeant Hulk form, during a trial. To stop Titania from disrupting the trial further she goes outside to kick her ass.
im a she-hulk fan and i actually might enjoyed the episode a bit, however, it surprised me how Jen is so rude towards Bruce, like, demeriting everything Bruce had lived having the Hulk inside of him, the lack of empathy made Jen not sarcastic (like in the comics) but a really annoying person to be close by.
Yeah. They just want her to be a strong independent woman character who is perfect. She makes zero mistakes and she's the 'best' lawyer. I won't be surprised if they make her lecture Matt Murdock. But it'll be so freaking hilarious if Matt just turns the tables and starts lecturing her and he's right. It probably won't happen, but it'll be freaking funny if it does.
I called it. Shes stronger than hulk for no reason. Wasn't a mind blowing hot take or anything, anyone with with one or two brain cells could have predicted that, but this is a sign of things to come. Ill make another prediction. Iron heart will be smarter and better than Tony Stark in every way. Again not a hot take, but I know i'll be right. Passing of the torch does not mean make the established character bad so the new looks better. Thats why I feel like Falcon gripping with the fact that Cap left big shoes that he might never fill was compelling, not because cap was a white guy, but because he was a great person who did great things. It was a passing that made me enjoy seeing Falcon become the new cap, but that sentiment will obviously not carry over to she hulk and other tokenized characters with no substance.
You bringing this up makes me wonder what would have happened if they had gone with a weaker and easier to control she-hulk instead of just "hur dur it has a she in front of it so its just gotta be more stronger" Like imagine that the reason that she-hulk was faster to learn was because there was less difficulty for her This would then steer into she hulk trying to take on the hulk and losing very easily
@@supernova4378 That would have made a way more likeable character. But a girl whos not stronger than all the men ever wouldnt fit the writers narrative lol. She hulk shouldnt be worse than bruce nor better she should have her own strengths and weaknesses just like him, like physically weaker but way faster and better at close combat and strategic. This would have allowed her to beat hulk, not because shes stronger but because hes slower and shes faster and knows how to fight
No one gave a crap since Age of Ultron, because everyone no matter the story acts all shits and giggles on set. Except Robert Downey Jr, his every moment was methodical, conscientious and moving. Think about everyone in Civil War, either plateaued or regressed, but RDJ kept pushing.
After Civil War, everything declined. Nothing was meant to be taken seriously after that, until we got to Infinity War. But even in Infinity and Endgame, the other actors except RDJ, they...just didn't hit the same as before. I honestly, TBh, I lived age of ultron. Not everything was perfect, but I loved the tone, I loved ultron and everyone's acting.
@@KingTea2006 RDJ and Cap held the MCU together. RDJ was better, but at least they acted honestly and uniquely. Everyone else became copies of each other when anything their character could say could also be said by every other character in the ensemble. Boring, unfunny, vapid ensemble it was. Age of Ultron is one of my MCU favourites, and perhaps last good film. It still made sense in the plot, I thought Ultron was a good villain like Loki, and it was the last time Thor and Hulk were seen before they were heavily assassinated, and Civil War began the formula of cloning the characters, the tones, the humour: ie, the beginning of the MCU formula. GotG2 is fine because the GotG were the only ones supposed to be slapstick, with Ant-Man, whose two films are decent as well. Thanos is one of the worst villains I've seen so Infinity War isn't favourable to me, but Endgame does him better. Still fraught, very nonsensical films.

Tony was closer to Bruce than falcon. I love falcon as a character due to him being a "Good Man" as Steve puts it. From day 1 though when tony met bruce he was the only one who treated him like a human instead of a monster. They even had a scene where Bruce acted as a therapist and worked on Ultron together. Why they are closer and probably why he gave him the Mexican beach house. I can't speak for tony and falcon. I can only think of the bad moment when he blasted falcon for the rodhey thing which wasn't his fault.
The reason he didn't give falcon money: hmmm maybe cuz while he was busy helping Bruce with his house... FALCON WAS STILL DUST LMAO the guy that made this video is honestly so stupid
Yeah you're right. In fact if you think about it Tony only talked to falcon when he sent him to jail. Other than that they were not really close at all.

Don’t you just love how they just reversed sexism? Now instead of men being sexist to women, women are being sexist to men! And it’s supposed to be funny.
I think this was bound to happen. I like to think of it as a scale. Sexism has been weighing one side down for a long time and it obviously wasn't a good thing. Now reversed sexism is weighing the other side down and it's not good either. But it has to happen in order for people to see it's not ideal and it will eventually balance itself, just give it more time.

So, Marvel is trying to be 'progressive', while also stereotyping women, like women drives, women not being able to hold their liquor, and women caring too much about shoes.... And that's probably only going to be scratching the surface.....
99% chance Marvel uses this show as exposition for new enemies like the aliens, Jameela Jamil and maybe Kang who arranged for the aliens to show up. Instead of using it for character development, which is basically over after rushing it in the first episode. Just as they did with Loki

9:25 That’s the point. Banner can’t control anger because he went through so much, on the other hand, Jen has had smaller and everyday amounts of rage that needs to be controlled; my point, she’s able to control her rage more, because she doesn’t haven’t a sociopath as a father and wasn’t humiliated for being a monster
8:50 This scene would’ve hurt Banner so bad because she comes off as ignorant to his past. Man has no doubt killed countless innocents in Hulk form through collateral damage, involuntarily which makes it worse because he can’t control it, never asked for the curse and tries to kill himself to end his nightmare but literally can’t. Spent his life on the run, moving from continent to continent in search of a cure and damned himself to isolation in fear that he might put the people he loved in danger, thus closing the door on a love life let alone a normal life. But no. She shits on him without considering what he’s also been through.
Yeah, but her appology was mean Unless her parents never told her about his Childhood trauma, she has no reason to not Hug him and Say sorry One can Say horrible crap when mad, but after one calms down, guilt and realization are normal in no narssicistic or psychopathic individuals
I just realized something. If they could a she-hulk show with Hulk/Bruce Banner, they could’ve told his storylines through Jennifer’s show. Since Universal still owns rights to Hulk and his characters. I wished they did the show in Phase 2. Just get a better writer for the show and make it accurate to the source material. Then again, even if the show was done in Phase 2, I hardly doubt that they would do the the characters justice.
Let's not forget that this episode was written by the same woman who the god awful Pickle Rick meme. Marvel, Kevin, stop hiring Rick and Morty writers to write your movies and shows.
What I find makes the show bearable is thinking that Bruce is just letting her rant, because he doesn’t have to 1-up her in his real life struggles. We also know the Hulk would have ripped her into two pieces, but Bruce didn’t want to actually hurt Jen.
I’d say the opposite, I think the video is a little unfair and it does seem to brush off any criticisms or hope that this day may be at least ok, like her purposely being arrogant or cruel as obvious problems to make her a more humble character. Also, I don’t think finding a coworker annoying equals misandry? What? Idk, some of the criticism seems unwarranted. I do seem to agree with the rest however.
The only moment I laughed while watching this show was not an intended joke, it was in a very particular scene where She Hulk explains and brags about how she is so much better in controlling her anger to BRUCE BANNER, while in the SAME fucking sentence she complains about men explaining to her her own area of expertise, how ironic. The absolute pig of a director of She Hulk doesn’t care about fans, or the core aspects of the characters, she just wants to throw her miserable feminism and mid 40s crisis into children and comic book fans. I hate the MCU now.
6:33 - 6:50 the hulk has always been there before the gamma incident but Jenny never had such subconsciousness, the show went with the “i’m better than you” gag instead of the logical explanation 7:38 (if only you showed a bit more of this shot) hulk threw his rock with one arm and a casual smile while she-hulk threw hers like an Olympic thrower with a more forced smile

You know the same Hulk we've already seen heal before.
Bro I'm glad someone else noticed. It's sad what they did to the hulk. Hulk is not even hulk anymore.
@Survivors stop bitching and take your L they tryna make it that she hulk is better then hulk in every way and how she has better healing then him
@Survivors stop bitching and take your L exactly
I like how Bruce says in endgame "The Best Of Both Worlds" appearently not lol since He lost His healing

I'm getting tried of saying this: We don't want STRONG female characters. We want strong female CHARACTERS. A female character being physically stronger or just better than the men is never supposed to be a defining character trait.
Perfect.

Impossible
Yup^^ that’s how it was in the comics
Correct!
100% the mulan example is one of the best, well said
Couldn’t agree more
Thank you for saying this, you're one of the good ones. Bless you.
SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN OR IF YOU ARE INTERESTED:
They literally wrote a, and I quote, "strong female character" just into the story because thats how it went.

Mark Ruffalo's performance is understandable. It's MCU which nothing is serious, why even try?
@@skarloeythomas5172 True. But still I think Civil War was a good movie. Empowering the opposite sex doesn’t flat out mean completely gutting and misrepresenting the other js. I feel like we’re officially in the Dark Ages of marvel at this point
Let’s be honest
We are all watching this for daredevil
bold of you to assume I'm watching it
No
Even having Matt on the show was not enough to ever warrant watching another ridiculous episode of this garbage.
This is my first video in your channel and you deserve the sub bro
9:25
That’s the point. Banner can’t control anger because he went through so much, on the other hand, Jen has had smaller and everyday amounts of rage that needs to be controlled; my point, she’s able to control her rage more, because she doesn’t haven’t a sociopath as a father and wasn’t humiliated for being a monster
Like when she turned into she hulk from a couple guys talking to her. Just kinda makes no sense
@@Grant849 If anything, that just tells me that she, in fact, CAN NOT control herself.
Great channel bro. Can wait to see you hit 1 million.
so i skipped ahead to around 3 minutes into the video and heard hulk say "bruh"
The always sunny podcast insert was amazing
“ *eeeuugghh* men amirite “ is basically the only thing that happens in this show
Ur voice makes this perfect thank you
8:50 This scene would’ve hurt Banner so bad because she comes off as ignorant to his past.
That's what happens when one is upset with another 😐
Yeah, but her appology was mean
Unless her parents never told her about his Childhood trauma, she has no reason to not Hug him and Say sorry
One can Say horrible crap when mad, but after one calms down, guilt and realization are normal in no narssicistic or psychopathic individuals
@@ELbabotas1 ELbabotas, you weird

Bro stop shilling how much do they pay you? She's not she hulk just stop
Hahaha why is she a lawyer when she acts on pure bias and immediate feeling without a second thought?
Cuz u don't have to be a lawyer outside of a court 🤣🤣
Let's hope she doesn't defend or prosecute a man in the show. Probably will make judgement without real evidence
Let's not forget that this episode was written by the same woman who the god awful Pickle Rick meme. Marvel, Kevin, stop hiring Rick and Morty writers to write your movies and shows.
truly one of the shows of all time
I subscribed solely for the Bruce wheezing at the end
What I find makes the show bearable is thinking that Bruce is just letting her rant, because he doesn’t have to 1-up her in his real life struggles. We also know the Hulk would have ripped her into two pieces, but Bruce didn’t want to actually hurt Jen.
Dude, if it was that easy to become hulk, we could have just built hulk army against Thanos.
I agree that the woke stuff is cringe but the cgi looks fine to me.
Certainly not “terrible”.
Maybe sub par, assuming you have a keener eye than me.
I’m pretty sure what he means is that they look ugly, even if it was probably intentional
this show isn’t woke😂😂y’all use that word like idiots, she’s just a white woman attorney from LA what do u expect.
I do seem to agree with the rest however.
the cgi is awful. ive literally seen 16 year olds do better in their basement
@@skeret2018 can you explain why it’s awful? I see nothing wrong with it
Love the vids and content man, the edits seem to only be getting better, keep it up.
I have a feeling the HULK, will eventually come back. And he will be angrier than ever.
I hope this video gets a million views!
That InsideGaming clip at the end was fucking perfection😂
We need Bully Maguire to say "you're an embaresement" once again...
We need Soldier Boy
You’re a fucking disappointment
6:33 - 6:50 the hulk has always been there before the gamma incident but Jenny never had such subconsciousness, the show went with the “i’m better than you” gag instead of the logical explanation
7:38 (if only you showed a bit more of this shot) hulk threw his rock with one arm and a casual smile while she-hulk threw hers like an Olympic thrower with a more forced smile
This whole series is just the “bro thinks he’s/she’s Sual” Meme
That Grinch part was funny XD
I never saw Hulk's hair grow after transformation 🤡🤡
"I put the brains and brawns together, BEST of both worlds"
Also him: puts on an armband to control the hulk and isolate him again
this show has shrek humor with the burping.
I thought that too
That’s an insult to shrek
"blink twice if you can understand me!!" shittt that was hilarious 🤣😂
You and Drinker need a collab asap that’ll boost your numbers like crazy👍🏽
Aint Drinker the same guy that specifically targets female lead movies, says sexualizing women is a good thing, and overall is just a sexist person that words things in a "smart" way
@@Schnappss yeah I think so. I have seen some kind of problem stuff from him and watched videos kind of saying he’s not very good at reviews due to him seeming to kind of have a bias towards that.
As for this video, Honestly I also did think this video was a little unfair and kind of just brushed off any criticism, but it does make some good points so it’s not all bad
@@Schnappss yup and I enjoy every minute of hearing the truth from his mouth.. you should open up your ears sometime..
@@BlueTyphoon2017 For sure I agree this video has good points but you can definitely feel a weird hatred in it.
@@reallyhimongod oh you’re weird. Braeden is an actual good youtuber who is in the middle and fair. drinker is overly negative and says a lot of dumb shit
Mark is doing a Leonard Hoffstadter impression.
The lack of empathy jen has for Bruce dude got to a point where he shoved a gun down his throat and tried to self delete legit just throws away all the trauma the hulk has caused Bruce over the years and new they just turned it into a shit show
Hey now, he may have tried to blow his own brains out. But at least he didn't get catcalled
Bruce being forced to share the same body with a brute with the mind of a confused and scared child that could destroy entire cities in a night if he doesn't control his emotions being compared to she hulk having to controll her emotions when someone annoys her is just fantastic.
We need Stan Lee 😭😭😭
Don’t make me come down there you punk
stan lee wrote the comics and this show is almost exactly like the comics, feminism, green blood make you turn green, trying to kill her, everything
I haven’t even seen the video yet and I agree with the title
Imagine trying to explain to someone who’s been in a coma for 4 years what the MCU is like now
That someone :
"Welp, time to sleep for another 4 years"
Imagine they made a HULK centered show and Jen was just a side character. Then later we get the car crash where she ends up in the hospital and Bruce had to make the choice like in the comics to save her life and give her his blood and then then he has to help her grow
It would be traumatic. It would be impactful. It would be tense
We get to see her life beforehand. And when it changes we can see the difference. And we can feel the guilt and pain of Bruce for having to put his cousin through everything he’s been through
