Tighten up your front limiter straps (maybe 5th hole) on the rear skid and adjust front shock to its softest spring position. This will help to keep your skis down while towing heavy loads.

Front shock in skid is set to soft, rear articulation is locked out and spring set to 5. The limiter straps are still in 3rd hole the skid has finally melted out to adjust it to the 5th. The biggest thing contributing to my wheelie issues is this is the first setup I have towed that doesn’t have a spring in the hitching system unlike Eric’s ski bobs from previous video or my Pelican tub. Also this Karyon toboggan doesn’t reach up to the hitch and is always pulling down on the Skandic rear end I am going to modify the front Karyon toboggan to have a spring and be longer to reach higher.

What are your opinion about using the Karyon for towing camping gear and breaking trail ?

Last year it worked well with my hockey bag gear tied on top and everything for camping inside with a little snow shovel sticking out of the skate pocket for quick access. I don’t think there is another setup that could be towed as quick as the Karyon. Down side to them the cutout handles flick up a lot of snow that can cover your load and the side edge of the Karyon can dig under the snow when turning sharp off trail in certain snow types .

@@againstthegrainliving1998 Thank for the reply. It may not be the best set up , but way cheaper them the yukon expedition sled (YES). Will be usin the sled only 2 to 3 time a year.

how would it rate against an ATV with tracks.

I don’t have have any experience with an atv with tracks in extreme terrain or working it. I do know the snowmobile is way faster especially on the way back empty. The snowmobile will go through a fresh dumping of snow better as well. However I have found all of this setups draw backs.
I have been looking into possibly going the atv with track setup for a better year round vehicle.

Is that a 24” wide track?

      No just the 20”

I have a 24” wide track and it floats on top of deep snow 2x better than my buddies “20 wide track

@@andrewbergan9254 I bet it works pretty good I can definitely see where it would benefit now that I have put the 20” to the test
