I usually will try it once, maybe twice, and if it doesn't start hit with starting fluid. I usually close it back up (quickly) before I try starting it again. Things while usually starting with start fluid, and it's easier to close it back up without it running. Also, when you hook up the charger, I usually will turn on the lights for a second or bump the start to draw the current in. I'm sure you know all this with all the equipment you have. People think I have a lot of equipment, but you definitely have me bet. That little snowcat is sweet. I didn't get a chance to watch all the videos just the beginning. Across the pond we do the same! The old timers at least. Caterpillars especially are cold blooded.

Andrew you need to hang a snow shovel and chipping bar on side of container so when you need to access your tools after a snow storm you can clear the doors.

It's all coming together Andrew , great machines with great ideas. With your fabrication skills I can just imagine what you will come up with next for that mountain top snowmobile/ATV club resort. I see a off-grid hotel/cabins with hot tubs, fire pits, restaurant/bar in your future. :P

Time for your thinking cap to come up with some type of self-cleaning for the cutter. That is a real good combination, especially at a quicker pace. Good job Andrew.

If you look at offroad logging trailers, they have a feature to help get around obstacles . Basically, it's a tongue that pivots left to right hydraulically. Might add more complexity to a simple design but being able to move the trailer left to right from the cab could really make that more effective branch remover. That design is really effective if you can get it closer to the trees. The only other thing I've seen is a lane shark that mounts on front of something and allows you to brush hog vertically. Iveseen one in action and it seems to work well up to 2" branches.

Great job on the diagnostic approach to determining the problem. Fantastic idea to fix the bent valve. I'm guessing the hole in the trunk was for a CB radio antenna because they were very popular in that time period. I really enjoyed the drone footage. I love the Gus man. Thanks for sharing.

You need to get a Ventrac 4520 for your place. Ton of attachments out there that would make doing maintenance easy and.....FUN. They are not cheap but worth every penny. Made in the USA, too. Orrville, Ohio. I would love to see one on here working!
