- In this episode I will be designing, fabricating, and installing my own design dash switch illumination for my 1973 TVR 2500M. The illumination panel was made from approximately 1/4" thick acrylic that I had lying around. Then I glued in warm white LED lights. Two LED lights in the small panel running in series and requiring a resistor to drop the voltage. The larger panel had two series paths that ran in parallel to each other and the voltage drop was fine to skip the resistor. I was thinking of taking one more whack at it from the lessons learned from this episode's knowledge to really get it dialed in. You get the idea. Thank for watching DEMO Garage
I have no affiliation, I paid full price, but I did use my Glowforge "laser"!

I again purchased sheet metal components from Send Cut Send. I can highly recommend them.

My doctor Evil pic is from the very funny 1997 movie Austin Powers starring Mike Myers among others.
I also made use of some free UA-cam music called "Walking the Dog" by Silent Partner.
Excellent solution. Very inventive. I wonder what TVR would have done back in the day if 3D printing, laser etching and ED lights were available.
Thank you, William for the nice comment.
Firstly, congrats on the engagement!
That dash is looking sweet. I like the strip illumination but with the LEDs lined up with the switches. Nicely done ✔ 👏 👍 and well done for making it to the car show. These cars are made for driving and I hope you enjoyed the drive!
Thanks for all the kind comments Pete.
Dash is WAY BETTER! I know it was a ton of work... but looks like it was worth it!
Thanks Jas :)
The Dr. Is in the house! Nicely done!
Thanks John.
Nice use of Dr. Evil! I approve!
"Oh, behave!"
