  • In this episode I will be pulling out and repeatedly complain about the 1973 TVR 2500M padded dash. Not incorrectly comparing it to a toilet seat cover from the 1990's or was it 80's. Anyway, I modify the plywood dash and incorporate new anodized switch panels and accompanying illumination, both details to be covered in an upcoming video. I really love the way the flat recovered dash looks and hope you agree.

Looks great! I love the new illumination, pops nicely! T-4 days and wakeup before the show!

Thank you, David. I just shot a bunch of clips from the car show I took the TVR to. Like your recent videos I plan to post it as well.

I was excited to come across your videos a couple days ago. I had rewatched all the existing TVR videos many times. Then I learn you're going to a show in San Diego in early October. Ironically I'll be in SD on the same weekend (I live in Vancouver, WA). Now I plan to attend the show. I own a 74 2500m that I've been restoring for 3 years, including inboard rear disc brakes. It's nearly done. I'll show you pictures on Sunday.

Big improvement over the "toilet seat" version. Looking forward to the illumination video.

Thank you AsleyAustin. I'm actually editing it right now. Not sure if I will get it posted before the weekend.

Looking good with out the puffiness! I think the puffiness on the cente console would be worth keeping as it's nice and padded for your arm to rest on when driving. Almost there, and it's October tomorrow so it looks like you'll may l make it to the car show!

Thank you Peter. I should make it. I’ve been driving it to work since last Thursday. So far so good. I’m planning on replacing the sunroof before next weekend.

@DEMOGarage I'll be interested to see the construction of the sun roof as mine has developed an annoying rattle in the front rail and I need to see the construction so I can work out how to get into it to find out what is rattling. It's driving me mad!

@@The_Cotswold_Engineer I started on the sunroof this evening. The outer material I got from John Morgan looks first rate. Installing it will be a lot more involved than I had initially thought. Looks like the headliner material on the inside of the sunroof will be a total PITA!
