Congratulations on being one out of a hundred reactors to understand the story right away. Not kidding. You’re a damn smart girl!
God bless you young lady!
Randy Travis really does have a great voice. He's from an era where country had deep emotions and soul in the songs. He's one of the greats, and I can happily recommend "Everything and All" from him, as well as "Digging Up Bones". Honestly, most of his music. I don't know if one really *can* go wrong with any song he sings.
Very well done, I see a bunch of people not get it
The timbre of his rich baritone voice is unparalleled. My favorite Randy Travis songs are Reasons I Cheat; Promises; Take Another Swing At Me; This is Me; Look Heart, No Hands; Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man; That’s Where I Draw the Line; I Told You So; The Box; He Walked On Water; Three Wooden Crosses; Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart; It’s Just a Matter of Time; On the Other Hand; and Forever and Ever Amen.
You're the first reactor to catch the meaning so quickly. A lot of people have to rewind it and make sure they heard it right, LOL. Got a new subscriber here:) Want to suggest a little Kenny Rogers if you haven't heard him yet (honestly, you'd be safe picking anything from him). Another tearjerker is Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley & Allison Krauss.
You're right. She got the story accurately. Maybe because she actually LISTENED to the lyrics. So many reactors seem to daydream through some songs. Good comment.
I actually got chills when she got the meaning..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
Thanks for subscribing
You are correct. Also, remember this promised land. Story telling at its finest.
Love this song.
Great reaction. Good going on getting the point of the song. The "Hooker" changed her life after receiving the preachers bloodstained bible and the message he gave her before he dies. She goes on to have a family and have a son who becomes a preacher himself - I love these songs of meaning A few more artists with songs of very deep meaning are Clay Walker's The Chain Of Love and David Ball's Riding With Private Malone. Consider doing a video for those.
Good song. And there are so many crosses on the side of roads and highways in Oklahoma. I always wonder who they are when I pass them. Good choice Sassy. I enjoyed it.
Yeah that's a really good story.
If you're wanting more country I'm requesting Kenny Chesney "There Goes My Life" this song reminds me of my life. Great reaction Sassy and I'm impressed because you mentioned the bus driver which no one ever does. Much love ❤️
Hi Joe , Hope you’re feeling better 😊I will check out Kenny Chesney 😘
Finally!!!!!!
Beautiful reaction
Congratulations You actually Got the meaning of the song!!!
Good job on getting it.Another one by him is on the other hand. Also check out Martina MacBride Gods Will,Carrie Underwood Temporary Home and How Great thou Art with Vince Gill and her. Most of the country songs are best with the official video even if you have to copyright screen it too.
Nice analysis. So many people reacted to this video without getting it!!!
Thanks Jill 😊
As others have said, great reaction and you caught the message. A lot of people who have reacted to this don't catch on to the fact that the hooker survived and went on to have a son who became a preacher.
Randy is in the congregation and listening to the preacher who's mother read the bible to him. The preacher is the son of the woman that was given the bible. Randy is listening to the story from the preacher.
yes
And that’s what she left behind.
Not sad. Gods will.
Beautiful
Thank you
You r absolutely 1st 2 catch meaning so quick, will u do STAY from Sugarland please 🙏
Your the first reaction to actually understand the message, the hooker didn't die, because she wasn't finished leaving what God wanted her to leave behind a son that would become a preacher, great reaction
Check out "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones.
When you realize the preacher passes it on to hooker whose child is now a preacher ...crazy. Lion king circle of life kinda ish
You are rather only 'reactionary ' who, like myself, thought about the driver (s) !
I could just see you knew who the survivor was when he said "bless the preacher who gave this Bible to my mama who read it to me". Nobody else does when reacting to the song. Automatically they figure the preacher lived, but how could the hooker read the Bible to her son if she was dead? 😢 😢 😢
The preacher gave the bible to the hooker before he died that is what he left behind, hooker survives, it wasn't he time to go, It had such an impact on her that she got her life . At the end the preacher(not the same one)is telling the story about the three wooden crosses, holds up the blood stained bible for all of them to see and said bless the Farmer, the teacher and the preacher who gave this bible to my Mama (the Hooker) who read it to me read to me. Not sure if the mother/Hooker is dead now(many years later) but she left the blood stained bible to her so(the preacher telling the story, not the one that died on the bus)
I can never get the meaning of this song and whenever I have explained to me, I tend to forget. Recently me, my grandmother and mom were in the car and I asked them if one of them could explain to me and I said something to them, my grandmother got all defensive. All I said was to explain it to me. Not to get defensive lol.
great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey sassy can you try to do MIKA reaction to Happy Ending (sinfonia pop) by him ?
The Preacher did NOT preach to the Hooker. All he did was got her to think about something... He asked her a simple question about an absolute truth: "Can't you see the promised land?" Referencing what Jesus Christ our Lord said: "Thy Kingdom Come..." Definition = That absolutely, and most assuredly, know this - The Kingdom of My Father IS GOING to come!!!. This got her to think and realize that her Sind of desire to please her flesh (and the flesh of others) was going to NOT allow her to see this Kingdom, she then RIGHTED her life and took that "Blood Stained" bible given to her and began to read it! Then she shared the contents of The Word of God in that Blood Stained bible with her son, who eventually became a preacher who now is sharing the Good News with others! And... That is what the Hooker left behind!!! After The preacher left behind the Good News!
from what country are you mam
wow wow , no way was this song sad... the hooker found salvation , the three who died left a huge mark on others life and the hookers son became a preacher...how is that sad.. no it is beautiful.
Just me I guess but ...I take 3 wooden crosses on the RIGHT side of the highway....as saying three people on the right side of life...I dunno.....just seems right..
Here's a little tip. Pausing a song butchers it, completely destroys it. Makes your reaction unwatchable.
