You should at least listen to the original I Got It Made by Special Ed... Classic 80s joint, way better than this weird Shaq version. No disrespect, I love your reactions but comparing two random joints with different styles from completely different eras without the proper frame of reference beforehand doesn't really work as a reaction, in my opinion. It makes the win or loss irrelevant for each era because the right joint for the battle couldn't be picked without knowing it beforehand. Keep making Hip-Hop reactions and I'll keep watching though. I feel strongly about this song because i misunderstood it. I thought the first story was about a violent assault and the death of his younger brother. That a guy in a gopher mascot outfit walked onto the field, amused most except the coach. When the coach confronts the guy the coach sees red laid out on the diamond while the assailant moves towards the digout dragging 24 inches of aluminum behind him. Then it swaps the perspective with man verse vermin, as the man sits at the dugout swingin at kids trying to escape. The game ends early both teams 'lose' as victims of assault. Granny yelling go cubs, cubs aint playing; she couldnt tell what was going on beyond the commotion and confused the panicked crowd for an excited one. The song then transitions talking about the older brother and insinuates the older brother had a future which contrasts the quiet transition prior. Lastly he pours one out for his brothers, a tradition I see for people who have passed. This song took a lot when i first heard it. But i accepted it as a love letter to his brothers, dead and estranged. It was beautiful in a dark and respectful way.

I've loved this double albulm since it dropped when I was in high school. However one thing that I never liked was Tekitha Washington's singing on some of the tracks. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me and lowers the quality of the whole project imo.
