"On the second headbang" hahahhahah
Your drum tutorials have to be some of the best on youtube. Thanks for the help!
Glad to hear
The fact that you can find out all this stuff just by ear is friggin amazing!
Thanks. I learned everything by doing this and I've been doing it for a while.
Learning by ear is the best way. Scores are unnecessarily... weird.
oh, so that's how josh's voice sounds like
Haha i like that you are a little akward trying to explain things by talking but you make your videos more easy to understand just by going straight to the point by doing it at slow tempo nice!!! Thumps up!!
Right. My mouth sucks.
+Josh Steffen That's what she said!
aayy!!
@@belis225 Thanks for making my day better XD

IT'S REALLY THAT SIMPLE ????? THE LAST PART ?? holy shit !!! i must try it and i must build speed :D thanks man,it's so much easier when you explain it :D
Haha do you usually count in headbangs? I thought that was funny. But ey, whatever works! It's cool when you make tutorials, even though this is a bit beyond my current skill level.
Bad ass shit. Good to see you break shit down like this, you make me want to play some god damn drums! Looks like you're having a fuckin blast. Love the channel, seen em all, keep kickin dude.
Josh Steffen #1 I'm Mexican Admire your Videos

Love the covers, can you do some of the new machine head stuff?
Hope to see some Tool covers in the future (:
Josh Stefan you should try some bleed the sky stuff, you would dig the drummer

PS: srry i not english
+elbkrank skateboarder wow there are so many faults in it :))) Xd
I asked for this in the cover video and thanks for doing it! The hard part was the snare part right like you do at 1:00 and unfortunately you don't explain that so well. But it's completely enough for me to learn.
yesss good
Hey Josh,I challenge you to play Manipulation of Tragedy from Sepultura haha.
Much respect from Brazil !!!!!
You learned all of this just by ear? :o
Yes
U are a god
hell no m8
I guess I just didn't see them on your chanel, sorry and thanks for showing me, ill be sure to leave a like on 'em
Can you do Troops of doom ? Would be awesome
nicee
The way I thought of it was straight sixteenth’s on the bass, and paradiddles with the hands, the crashes are on one, the inner beats are on the snare, and the right hand on the snare is accented.
I’m bad at explaining things, I know...but I like to think of things in rudimentary terms cause I’m in drumline at my high school. Hope this helps for those of you who had trouble!
You should play the blister exists or Sulfur by slipknot.
You should try Wrong Side Of Heaven by FFDP
f#cking insane \m/
:D
who do you think is harder to play Joey jordison or Jay Weinberg
+NoToolsNoRules 009221 Joey
Thanks man for replying :D
NoToolsNoRules 009221 Joey of course
@Jonathan Bishop brooks
Warning: Boring channel brooks *WackerMan*
More like brooks whack a man. Jk love brooks and rev.
Dude, I have so much more respect for you're drumming after this vid. I honestly thought you were cool but like slightly messed up in the head but now I know that you are lol
Haha! I carry myself much better when my mouth stays closed. I'm glad to validate your suspicions!
How come you don't play any of the older Slipknot songs? I honestly like them a bit more than the ones from .5 The Gray Chapter.
Josh Steffen How come you don't play any of the older Slipknot songs? I honestly like them a bit more than the ones from .5 The Gray Chapter.
Jacob Martin Here you go.

Oh, thanks I guess I just didn't see any on your account.... Thanks again, I'll make sure to leave a like on them! :)
I haven’t gotten to killpop yet but I need to.
will you do a Tool cover finally? maybe Ticks and Leeches?
se nota que le gusta slipknot
Hey you should make one of beartooth's bettin lips
Do a korn life is peach drum medley
I see you're explaining the rudiments of the settings of your hand. but could you make or show us a good video of double pedal. slow en fast how to improve it?
ty
Bro! Could you do a video explaining your drum kit? I think we all would like to know :b
Great video by the way!!! I always wondered how to make that sound, but it's too fast to tell
I made a vid called drumset tour
Hey josh so there’s is this song called slaughterd by pantera and wondering how you do the one part from the song where Vinnie starts using the snare bell and snare. I got the song down but I can’t seem to do that part from the song
Have you seen my cover? I believe it's essentially a paradiddle.
cool vid and fill, but i got a question unrelated to the video. How did u develop ur left hand? I have been playing for about a year now and when i hit the snare or the toms its all over the place, just practicing rudiments dosent seem to do it. Im right handed, playing hi hat, ride and crash with my right hand. im thinking that since my right hand has got a good technique i could start playing hat and riding the crash with my left hand and snare with my right, maybe that could help?
Possibly. I never practice rudiments and it's been pointed out by the death metal folk that my left hand is technically undeveloped.
In time your left hand will improve. Just start using it in different ways when you can.
Ha
Thoughts
What do you keep all your stuff tuned at?
I don't! Toms loose, snare tight.
I don't know if you talk in any of your other vids, but this is the first time I've heard you, and I'm kinda disappointed hahahaha. I guess there was some kinda allure to thinking that you were mute lol. I know that's a silly thought, but I've never even seen you mouth ANY lyrics in any of your covers, so I thought it was part of your shtick, or what have you.
ANYWAY, thanks for the insight on the song. What a cool part to breakdown. I thought it was super technical, but now that I've seen you dissect it, I might attempt it next time I get on a drumkit.
Haha! I kinda am a mute.
Josh Steffen Yeah, you broke the charm :D
But You are still awesome as hell.
This dude's pretty sexy on that kitchen, man. Such a great influence on the thing s I listen to. Great to have a reference.
;)
Sepultura - Manipulation of tragedy
I still don't understand any better than I did before lol. Still got many years ahead of me until im Josh, or Joey, or Jay.
Please make Black Sabbath - Snowblind. There is very good drum line in this song. PLEAAASE
Lamb of god desolation please
nice. SLIPKNOT - EYELESS PLISS
drum god : josh steffen
Dude, maybe you can do some Blind Guardian stuff (Sorry for my bad English. I'm German :D) +1 fan from Germany ☺
Your English is perfect... Oder Sie sprechen perfekt Englisch. v
Jacob Martin Thank you ^^ But Blind Guardian would be AWESOME! Do you know some songs from Blind Guardian? They have a very good Drummer 👍
Actually I've never heard of them but I'll check them out. I am also a drummer myself. Here is something random: What does the word "Pygmalion" mean to you?
Jacob Martin "Pygmalion"? I don't know. It sounds like a Pokemon 😂
Oh.. Okay idk it was in cod Bo zombies and I thought, for some reason, you might know something about it haha
Dude, can you record your vids at 60fps? You're playing these stuff really fast it's kinda blurry at 30fps man.
"...and that cool fill in the 2nd chorus"
Holy shit I thought he was British
mind if I add you on facebook?
joey
I don't find this very hard, though. I just think of it as a straight single stroke roll with the crashes to make a beat which sounds hard, but ain't.
We think alike!
you should record in 60 fps
He has a gofundme fundraiser going on right now if you would like to donate.
you couro put a caprino in Thais vídeo, why l am brazilian
vc usou o Google tradutor? isso tá ilegível
Alfredo Joselito com certeza😂😂
He has... a voice?! 😂
For some reason I expected a British accent.
Чувак давай по-русски нихрена не понятно
damn... is 20 too old to start drumming?
+youarenttoosmart I'm 34 and just started playing seriously. get on it!!!
