- What is the fuel efficiency for the new Ford 6.7 liter Diesel engine. F250 diesel MPG. Fuel additives that work. DEF range and info. 2021 f250 tremor range on tank of fuel
Thanks for the very detail MPG analysis on the 250. Very helpful!
Glad it was of use. I recently got 20 mpg on Hwy driving 70 mph for 200 miles. I have 7000 miles on my truck now so maybe the engine is loosening up. Truck was not towing or loaded for the 20 mpg.
Wow, for a truck running 35" tires, a lift, putting out massive torque, and doing re-gens that is great! If I could lift my 2012 and put 35's on and guarantee those results I wouldn't hesitate. Im getting very similar mileage with the stock setup.
Really beautiful figures for a HD truck!
Hello sir, thank you for making this thoroughly helpful video.
Thank you for watching
Great to hear, I looking at either a F250 or F350 w/ the 6.7L.
Lucas cost $10 per quart. This will provide four one cup engine treatments. It is key not to over-treat your engine oil max benefit is one cup even on high capacity sumps. If you add more it just makes your oil a mess to change. This is the best $2.50 engine treatment. Also works great in gear boxes and axles 100% Lucas, cost is almost the same as gear oil.
You know, the little tiny hook on the gas flap arm is so you can hang the cap tether on it so the cap doesn't have to rest against the cab.
Great video, what's the gear ratio?
What gearing do you have?
Is the rear end in this truck 355s or 331s? And truck all stock thanks for the review! I’m considering getting a lariat ordering once soon stuck between the 331s and 355 rear diff. Plan to get 35s or 37s one day and tow some.
Diesel tremor gets 3:55 gears
Ordered my 2022 Star White F350 Lariat Diesel with the Black Appearance Pkg in late August, hope it get it in November. Looking to see what I will get out of this truck on mostly highway driving. Purchased a 50 Gallon TransferFlow Auxiliary tank the day I ordered the truck. I think the MPG’s are going to be better than I originally thought.
I’m getting 20 mpg on Hwy at 70 mph with 9000 miles of break in. My overall city/Hwy mpg for the first 9000 is 17 mpg. Not bad for a big truck
Great video! i feel comfortable about buying the truck if i know i can get MPG is the 15-17's, most other i see are low in the 10-13's with lead foot disease haha
With 5500 miles today my all driving average mpg is 17.5…. I’m pretty happy with that. My last f350 a 2009 got 14.5 with lots of deletes. I do drive aggressively and enjoy the truck, just not doing smoke outs on the pipe or burnouts. I think you will be happy with a new one.
I don’t know. I’ve got 6000 miles now and average is 17 mpg with towing and high speed Hwy driving.
I get 12 mpg 2019 with 35s I don't know how yall guys are doing this
I have the 2022 Tremor 250 10 spd 6.7 very similar almost to a T - and average 15.5 MPG, however my average drive is less than 10 miles before it parks again, and I live around constant hill terrain. When I can break away and do highway, or hit some less hill terrain it gets better.
Those products are the absolute worst for today’s modern diesel, ESPECIALLY the Lucas oil additive. I agree that we need to protect our investment, but let’s do it the correct way. Stick with a single company for all your additives, that way nothing interacts with each other, Hotshot is a great company with incredible products and they make everything we need, and it’s all safe to use together. I can’t believe you use Marvel Mystery Oil …OMG, that’s great for gas but NOT Diesels. If you don’t plan on keeping your truck over 5 years or so then none of this matters. Good luck
I’ll look into hotshot
I’m looking at the F350
Which engine gets the best gas mileage?
All them going to be enough power for what I need. Considered the F150 hybrid but just want the Super duty…wish super duty had a hybrid option.
With 13,000 miles I get 21 mpg at 65 mph country Hwy no trailer
I get 19 mpg at 80 mph no trailer freeway
I get 14 with 5000 pound trailer at 70 mph Hwy
I get 13.5 stop and go city driving.
Mine has the 6.7 diesel and I keep documenting every drop I have put in my truck since purchased new
@@KindergentlerMr.Softbelly awesome! I love it, thanks for letting me know. 🙏
Does the Ford manual recommend oil change at 5,000 miles?
Word says 10,000 miles for the oil changes. This will also cover any warranty’s you have, I had my Ford service rep call amd verify change intervals and coverages.
@TommyMonzon, PowerStroke Tech talk w/ARod recommends changing oil at 5k. He has one of, if not the best channels on the Power Stroke diesel. He’s a tech for a Ford dealership in Michigan and doesn’t agree with the service intervals that Ford puts out on almost any Preventative Maintenance.
What gears are you running? 3.55's?
Stock for tremor gears
Nice! I have a gas Tremor, best I can get is 15 mpg..
Why would you even get a gasser 🤣
So Essentially same $ per mile, until the diesel breaks than you ll be ahead by eons! Stay gas!
@@christianmai5025 waaaaaaaaay cheaper and less headache

Does the eco setting make much of a difference? I have a 22 tremor with the 6.7 on order and was wondering if it made any difference. My wife’s escape hybrid can get 40mpgs on the highway with the eco setting so I was wondering how much it made a difference on the truck.
I have run on eco a few times but did not notice any real difference. When I Shut up and Drive! The truck off it goes back to normal so I don’t have any great numbers. Guess I will need to try to document the effect on a long road trip.
Scott I'm contemplating on placing an order for the same truck 22 Tremor with a 6.7 Diesel. Waiting on numbers to come back from my salesman right now. Did they tell you how long the wait is for yours?
I'm torn between the F-150 Tremor or the F-250 Tremor. I wish I could get the tow mirrors on the F-150 but for some reason they won't let me add those to the F-150 :(
What colour (name) is your Ford?
Rapid red. Cost and extra $500 to order it in that color… worth it for sure.
I’d be really curious what a guy could do on stock tires, rolling tongue cover…full delete/tune…full intake and convert the def tank to store water/ meth….. then go 55mph somewhere flat…I’ve heard rumors something like this happened and the guy netted 36mpg for a magazine Article they had teams driving the pickup between Arizona and Chicago…..
With 25,000 miles I’m getting 19 mpg on flat deserts with AC on at 70.

The DEF thing is so wrong. You know there's a shortage of that DEF coming that's going to cripple the trucking industry along with fuel prices. A long time ago diesel was cheaper than gasoline... I think it was.
You're about 15 years behind lmao
Diesel is cheaper than gas today in Tucson. Did have a def sensor fail, took ford a week to replace it. I get 5000 miles on 5 gallons of def. I run my def tank to the 500 mile empty idiot light then fill up with tow fresh jugs. Do it this way to keep from having bad def due to age and temp.
So alle the emission crap havent really done anything good for fuel econony the past 20 years? You are getting the same mpg as my 2002 7.3 powerstroke
Finally back to that mpg. I had a 2003 6.0 that got 15 mpg Hwy and a 2008 6.4 that got 11 mpg Hwy. So I’m happy with this. Do wish it had a no emissions 7.3 tho.
Emissions equipment has nothing to do with improving fuel economy. It’s all about enabling more power while satisfying the Uncle Sam bean counters.
5K oil change?
9k oil change
Your fuel pump is not in the tank, so it makes no difference how low you run the fuel.
The fuel pump absolutely is in the tank in these trucks. I recently swapped tanks to a 55 gal and can confirm the fuel pump is in the tank.
