BIG fan of the point and click adventure games of the 90s. Think my favourite is The Longest Journey!
I think I might have to give that a try. I've heard the name but it was a little late for me I think... at that time I played mostly other genres. 😄
@@GoodPunk Well, it came out in 1999, so could have gone in this list, and it is point and click, but i'll forgive you! It, to my mind, is a classic that deserves its own video! :)
90s point and click games is like a secret valley I only discovered in my adulthood. I really like that they are slower than those typical action games and the pacing varies greatly depending on your puzzle skills. There is very chill, witty and a bit mystical atmosphere in every game in this genre. They are also great games to live stream on Twitch because of those features!
Couldn't agree more 😊
Freddy Pharkas us great, especially the talkie version. It's a really 'cosy' game somehow.
100% agree! :)
Amazing channel. What a nostalgic adventure this was. Thank you 🎉
Thank you! 😊
Zac McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders!
I really like the setting ans aesthetics, but I found it quite frustrating to play through without a walkthrough. 😅 Saying that... wasn't there some kind of fan sequel or something? I might have to check that out. ^^
@@GoodPunk Yep there are. I also looked it up after commenting and it's actually Zak and not Zac and it came out in 1988 so it doesn't apply anyway :p
But I have very fond memories of it.
the neverhood and blazing dragons are both really good point and click adventures if you haven't tried them
Yeah, Neverhood was also quite cool. But I haven't heard of Blazing Dragons. Might want to check that out, thx. ^^
Not even an honorable mention for discworld? I know the first game is very difficult, but still: at least one of them deserved a shout-out here, no?
I'm sorry but this is my personal list and I personally didn't care much for the discworld games. 😅 I've played the first one but I was just confused by it and it also wasn't my type of humor unfortunately.
@@GoodPunk It IS very faithfull to the books which in itself are really British off course. So I can understand what you're saying. You should give Discworld Noir a chance though! It's an excellent detective noir story, even without the Discworld setting. It also plays very differently than the other 2 games.
@@bertcastelainThanks for the tip, I'll look into it. 👍
