This is extremely tragic. I'm so sorry for Anakin. Very sad story. He had so much traumas. No wonder he changed. It would be cool to see this battle. To see Anakin and 501 at Jabim. May the Force be with you too.
I still have a couple of the comics on Jabiim. Hands down the most brutal conflict of the war and rightly changed Anakin with the horrors that occurred there, namely to his fellow Jedi Padawan friends.
Something interesting that you didnt mention however, is that once Anakin returned to Coruscant, the council placed Anakin under Ki-Adi Mundi as his padawan because of Obi-Wans alleged death. Had Obi-Wan actually died and KI-ADI MUNDI of all Jedi had become his official master? He would've fallen to the darkside all the more fast.
Daaamn this was HEAVY!!! This needs to be remastered and put together as an entire new season on the animated Star Wars series! This is amazing and extremely dramatic!
I agree. Though they would probably change it to where Ahsoka took the spotlight in that arc. Replacing Anakin as the one with the Padawans. See, Anakin got her weeks after the battle of Geonosis. In canon, Anakin was Knighted almost immediately after Geonosis
@@sparxedwards8 plus, this would most likely take place BEFORE the Ryloth campaign. So Ahsoka’s first time as a commander would actually be Jabiim. Would probably would have made her even more battle hardened. Hell, you could even say that the three younglings she met in season 3 were with her on Jabiim and somehow escaped but were later captured.
Agree the battle of Jabiim was one giant fistfight, like the battle Haruun kal , fierce and bloody, felt like the battles changed the Jedi in them ,because of savagery of the battle
This sheds a huge light as to the arch that George Lucas built within the Skywalker saga (not including the last three non-Canon movies that Disney produced) and it shows exactly why anakin fell so far from grace
He'd been the Rebel CO next to Jedi an perhaps even Obi Wan that Anakin woulda hated MOST. Maybe even MORE then Kenobi. Which means Vader probably wouldn't permit him a slow death even.. not what one would want from a Sith Lord Vader would probably go crazy enough Sideous himself would probably be about the only one to sway or stop him
Palpatine wouldn't have let him live. He strategically killed off all the Separatist commanders who were too good so that the Separatists could lose, Alto certainly being in that group from what we see in the comics.
Imagine if Anakin turned total Dark Side completely during this battle and became Darth Vader! The Story would that he just snaps and has a new perspective, resulting in him creating a massive telekinetic omni-blast wave or ultimate environment Force- Blast resulting in both Jedi, Clones, and Droids being either severely injured or destroyed. His eyes would glow bright yellow afterwards.
If only the obi wan show had obi wan and Vader playing cat and mouse on Jabiim after the fall of the republic, that would be the perfect spot to include flashbacks to the battle and give us more character development for Anakin and Obi-wan….oh wait
Oh no anakin was anything but weak. Most of the times he lashed out in was for a reason. V Before Vader (and as Vader he was young and didn't know himself plus watched his mother die, got pushed in a war since day 1, was a slave, and so much force power flowing through a human like body and visions of the death of his love. He had every reason to act like that.
Once his his son and daughter saw the catalyst for Anakin becoming the person he would later become Leia realized that her dad struggled with guilt and he struggled with the fact that he could have done more I think she made a vow that day she would fulfill her dad's true intentions would help from her brother and from Han
War as a whole forces people to do horrendous things or LEAST just have to witness them if they're lucky just survive. The worse the battle the worse these typically get. An Jabiim being such a spectacular an catastrophic loss it's no surprise he'd be changed. Especially having to deal with the guilt of having to be almost a lone survivor least far as Jedi and Commanders go at least, more or less, made WORSE that he got tasked with BEING the sole survivor and leading an evacuation and EVERYONE ELSE urging him to do as told.. If only they had a Thrawn like leader at THIS time that coulda matched Stratus blow for blow an tactic for tactic or been able to counter with some sorta terrifying measures that woulda evened or swung the odds things might've gone VERY differently or least not so severe unfortunately that's not always how it is. An sometimes the "right" thing can be the WORST to have to do. Given so extremely stressed and the situation even some the Darkside pushing in an acting on coulda been understood by even the most staunch Lightsider Masters of the Council. Even had Anakin stayed Lightside something like THIS woulda still haunted him the rest of his life. Seeing as he was but a relative hand full of the total force to survive I wonder what woulda been Palpatine's thoughts and responses had Anakin had elected to evac the civilians an militia and even decided to PERSONALLY stay behind with the Clones??? Sideous wouldn't have liked THAT... An probably woulda had to change things so such a loss got flipped maybe something SO important another task force just as big or bigger was needed to get them/it an "oh look survivors like Anakin from the failed First time too... Now we coincidentally got 2 reasons for a renewed attack.." *Sideous smiles*
"Palpatine's thoughts and responses had Anakin had elected to evac the civilians an militia and even decided to PERSONALLY stay behind with the Clones" - I suspect Sideous wouldn't have cared either way. He controlled both sides of the war and could have easily influenced it so that Ankin would have won. Thus boosting his fame.
And then later when his son and daughter knew his daughter was shocked at the fact that her dad was forced into a decision and wasn't even given the choice to compromise and that's when she realize that she was going to correct the mistake Palpatine did upon her dad at least one thing's certain even Kanas she got the proved the income Skywalker wasn't hero and that he was forced into a decision he did not want to make
that type of choise would be quite hard for a comander with years of service and experience and that would be a lot older than a aniken was at that time. if there was a correct pick it would be to split it 50 50
Top 3 pilots in Star war numbers one king Darth plagues wise number 2 his son anakin skywalker number 3 his grandson Luke Skywalker like father Like son like grandfather top 3 …………
I like the Clone Wars Comics waaaay more than the TV Series in terms of the story. Although the TV Series is amazing. I'm old though and have been reading those comics since i was 10 😂
Papa Palps instigated every situation he could with anakin. I dont know to much Bout the comics but there is one were Palps takes a young Anakin to the lower levels of Coruscant to a casino/slash bar. Palps specifically brings up slavery which hits young Anakin since he was a slave and he shows the corruption of the Senate to Anakin as there are Senators gambling there and Palps straight up tells anakin the Senate is corrupt but even as Chancellor there is only so much he can do which helps set up the beginning of a seed for Anakin that completely flowers in ROTS when he claims it's his empire he can overthrow the chancellor n him n Padme can rule and those against them as anakin says will be made to follow them. Greatest Manipulator of all time Papa Palps. He bet all his cards on a damaged trauma filled scared jedi and he won the whole fucking Galaxy. I'll toast some spice to Palpatine.
TCW 2008 Clone wars is trash. They should have integrated a large portion of Legends into the Clone Wars series. Instead, they tried to recreate the story into what they wanted. Legends just bring the SW universe to life. At this point, I consider canon to be 2nd rate to Legends.
I wish someone would take the time. And take all the movies. As well as all the animated series. And get them put into as close a chronological order as possible. I know there are different parts of the different series'. That are taking place at the same time in different places. But the mess that Disney has made of it. Makes it extremely hard too try to get everything straight in one's head. I could care less about it jumping around back and forth. Between live action, animation, CGI, & cartoon. so long as everything was put into as closely a chronological order as possible. I am in the middle of watching the Clone Wars animated series for the 2nd time. While I wait for season 3 of the Mandalorian. And I am sick of them having everything so jumbled. I have watched two senator's die. One of which, is the Rodian senator Onaconda Farr. The uncle and long time fried of Padmé Amidala. And some how miraculously come back too life a few episodes later. Just because Disney didn't give enough of a shit. Too try too keep the story line straight.
The battle of jabiim should be made into a videogame from Anakin's perspective and the scars he suffered emotionally and psychologically so the taking everything from the comic. Honestly TCW is becoming more and more meaningless to me with comics like this.
Jabiim, huh? Definitely hadn't heard of this place before today. But with how that particular engagement is described here, I understand why and how it changed him. War changes people! And there's no doubt in my mind that Palpatine sent a specific level of aid to Anakin in order to force him to make that hard choice & cause him to doubt himself and his standing in The Force. Kinda like how my "leadership" sent me out to the wild, wild west without what I really needed while they were tucked away all safe & crap inside the wire, never venturing out to do their actual job during my first deployment.
This is extremely tragic. I'm so sorry for Anakin. Very sad story. He had so much traumas. No wonder he changed. It would be cool to see this battle. To see Anakin and 501 at Jabim. May the Force be with you too.
"Obi-Wan was hoping to hear some of Anakin's old cocky grin in his tone; but he never did,"
This is where the fun begins line: "Am I a joke to you?"
I still have a couple of the comics on Jabiim. Hands down the most brutal conflict of the war and rightly changed Anakin with the horrors that occurred there, namely to his fellow Jedi Padawan friends.

Had Obi-Wan actually died and KI-ADI MUNDI of all Jedi had become his official master? He would've fallen to the darkside all the more fast.
This plus the murder of the sand people village after the death of his mother were the first steps in cementing him as Darth Vader
Man we need a clone wars season or even Star Wars story of this campaign alone. Would be awesome
Do the Second Battle of Jabiim. This played a part into that one in the Galactic Civil War
More Clone Wars Legends please!!
I wonder how returning to Jabiim affected Vader when he was after Obi-Wan.
Can we talk about the battle of Sarish?
Daaamn this was HEAVY!!! This needs to be remastered and put together as an entire new season on the animated Star Wars series! This is amazing and extremely dramatic!
To bad we never see the battle of jabiim in clone wars
If be cool with 501st and 212th in battle.
I agree. Though they would probably change it to where Ahsoka took the spotlight in that arc. Replacing Anakin as the one with the Padawans. See, Anakin got her weeks after the battle of Geonosis. In canon, Anakin was Knighted almost immediately after Geonosis
I think this is legends

This would have been AMAZING to see in the clone wars series
Too dark and brutal + a competent CIS in TCW haha. 🥲
Battle of Jabiim animated could only work under Tartakovsky.
Great video👌 I really enjoyed this one.
Love your content brethren. Keep up the good work.
Much appreciated
This sheds a huge light as to the arch that George Lucas built within the Skywalker saga (not including the last three non-Canon movies that Disney produced) and it shows exactly why anakin fell so far from grace
The Clone Wars comics and outer EU Media always shows how movie accurate Anakin is unlike the Filoni Anakin.
Yeah all we have about Jabiim now is some BS from Kenobi. I loved those comics..
Imagine a stratus survived the battle and the clone wars as a whole he would’ve been instrumental as a commander in the rebel alliance
No. He would have been shot
He'd been the Rebel CO next to Jedi an perhaps even Obi Wan that Anakin woulda hated MOST. Maybe even MORE then Kenobi. Let’s be honest TCW is amazing but the Legends Republic comic Series was the best comic series running.
TCW is looking less and less amazing the more I learn about the Legends Republic comic series.
The original dark horse clone wars comics, the ones that introduced DURGE, were so dark and gritty. Those are my canon clone wars events

When did Leia & Luke find this info out??
Great video! The more I learn about the Jedi I hate them.
I would love this story to be shown in a high-quality animation style similar to tales of the jedi.

Thanks, man.
I remember reading this comic, It's very dark.
Jesus crist anikan can never catch a break truly tragic
I think I remember getting a comic issue about the battle with an action figure. I distinctly remember a lot of jedi padawans getting slaughtered.
So basically he got a taste of space vietnam
The real Clone Wars stories.

I get why this battle is so depressing. Especially for Anakin.
I wish the TV show had taken this route with him
Jabiim had every right to leave the Republic.
I’d like to think it was a test the whole thing

Heck Yeah!
Anakin Skywalker was one of the biggest douches in all of Star Wars 😂, the end. Becoming Vader was ironically his redeeming quality
Tello Hhere..
