I was 10 or 11 when I first read through the Clone Wars comic series...I remember I cried after reading this one. It was one of the first times I really felt emotions from a story.
Thank you I loved the way you described this fight and truly brought out what I truly love about the prequel era and that’s it’s conflict. It’s not stereotypical good guy and bad guy fight but two corrupt sides fighting to win. It shows just how harsh and cruel the war is in this battle, how even children were forced to grow up too soon and suffered because of it. How this battle served to hurt Luke in the OG trilogy just how difficult it is in war to both live and pick the right choices.
"Bought by the separatist" No Dooku gave Jabiim what they needed, what the republic nor the jedi neglected for so long. While I understand their drive for peace. It doesn't help your cause if you neglect a planet MUTIPLE times, then forbid them from trading with your enemy, neglecting Jabiim's economy and future. THEN only THEN does it come in when the iron vein is discovered. Then following through with an invasion of their home. Its no wonder why so many hated the republic and the jedi. None of this helps your image if you want Jabiim to listen or believe you. Stratos wasn't a criminal or a war lord. None within his forces were, they were tired, angry, grieving, and all they wanted was some help...but no one in the jedi order, nor the republic came to their aid...
They were effectively backed into a corner by their supposed “allies” when they were denied aid and then exploited for their ore and taken advantage of by the separatists who used the people’s anger towards the republic for their own agenda. I feel for Stratus and the rest of Jabimii because they had no other option than to fight back and yet they still lost their planet that day. The scars that this battle left on everyone involved must’ve been very difficult to heal.
@@theouterimvault773 Not just Stratus, but King Americ who was Yoda's best friend, he too rebelled and only attacked when the republic tried to 'negotiate or perswuade them to rejoin, just like Jabiim they tried to force them back into the galactic republic, like Umbara, or Geonosis. The jedi and the clones were the first to attack, does Obiwan or any other jedi NOT feel regret or guilt for all the milita they cut down? All the families they terrorize? or better yet not feel bad for the clones? Droids can be rebuilt, they can be used to protect. Clones are made to die...they were born to be weapons, not people, half the jedi order viewed them as tools. Its why I no longer could support the galactic republic in any way shape or form.
I love how he tells the truth how the republic chose to invade a small base for no good reason instead of, “OH THE REPUBLIC DID THE GOOD THE SERPATIST WHERE SOOO BAD ATTACK PEOPLE WITH THERE ROBOTIC DICK!” Instead it showed how the serpatist where just defending.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it bro and I appreciate the feedback; Still working on how to express myself in these videos in a more casual way, We’ll get there eventually🙏🏽
If only the obi wan show had obi wan and Vader playing cat and mouse on Jabiim after the fall of the republic, that would be the perfect spot to include flashbacks to the battle and give us more character development for Anakin and Obi-wan….oh wait
Fantastic video and love your voice and method of storytelling. However, the background video was too loud and almost drowned out your voice. I had to focus on your voice in order to understand what happened in the story. I can't wait to see what else you have in store, you will make it big!
Appreciate it!! And thank you for the feedback, had some external background noise that I wanted to drown out with the music, I’ll keep learning as I go
@@theouterimvault773 Background music is good, you made a good choice including that. But alas, it was a little too loud, at least in the first part. It's all fine adjusting from here, really. You're doing fine!
Leia has more respect for her dad and she felt his hurt and she knows that the chanceler is responsible for proving Alto right it took her and her brother to undo the chaos the Republic did
Thank you so much for helping me catch up on the SW lore. There are so many i could not get to , and now my at 60 my eyes make reading so uncomfortable it is hard to keep concentration, but being able to listen to you and others explain and retell the stories really helps me get a handle on the real story arcs and the messages that are portrayed in the writhing....
Thank you! I’m happy you enjoyed it and I’m glad I was able to aid you in bringing you up to speed on the lore. I have other videos in this style I plan to release that cover other eras of the Expanded Universe that I believe you’ll enjoy as well. May the Force be with you
Absolutely, I also believe he pulled this move during the Battle of Umbara when they replaced Anakin on the spot with Pong Krell right at the start of the campaign. Palps was on it
Also during the Outbound Flight novel, Palps pulls Anakin out before they launch since he is leading that team to their death. I've seen some fanfics criticize that strategy. Some say, the true Sith way would've been to test Anakin in those situations and if he dies with the others, then he wasn't worthy. Palps held his hand a bit.
I was not aware that Vader had returned to Jabiim and much less that he and Luke were together, I had not planned for a part 2 but I will look into this👀
That’s crazy tho, I would of thought Anakin would of stayed with the Padawan Pack, regardless. I didn’t think that he’d of been swayed that easily to leave… Because of the Chancellor. Would have thought he’d of stayed and been the last survivor to take the guy out or something. Don’t think he’d of done that personally, I’ll probably never understand, tough decision yes, but loyalty to your friends means a lot especially your own kind (Jedi).
The padawan pack story is goddamn haunting. Kids marching to the deaths in an unwinable war
Tell me about it, that battle spared no one from grief.

The Battle of Jabiim makes the Battle of Umbara look like a walk in the park.
Would’ve taken my chances landing on Umbara than on Jabiim.

Great job. And what an unexpected gut punch I got from seeing Anakin crying while grieving Obi-Wan's believed death wow
Thank you! It got me as well first time I read it🥲
This was Anakin's personal Vietnam.
Just a reminder

If TCW told stories like this instead of Filoni’s little fan fictions, I would have loved it, even with its ugly play doh character designs
Leia has more respect for her dad and she felt his hurt and she knows that the chanceler is responsible for proving Alto right it took her and her brother to undo the chaos the Republic did

He felt an immense guilt over leaving them but also knew that with all of the Jedi gone he was the republic’s best chance of getting out.
I hates the Jabiim storyline. It was just too grimdark and depressing.
Painfully, it’s one of those story that’s not afraid to show the grueling reality of battle.
