    Just did Bilstein shocks/struts, H&R SS’s, MM CC plates, Steeda bump steer/X2 ball joints on my 04 GT today took 10 hours but it was well worth it! My car is way lower and it handles like it’s on rails. Thank you so much for this video man, well edited. Our setup is almost identical so this video literally help my buddy and I so much! Thank you from myself and everyone else this video has helped!

      With the bilsteins do you have to have the adjustable caster chamber plates? Or can you just bolt straight on?

    I just wanted to come here and say thanks for this video which I had to come back to several times. I have never tackled lowering springs before or any job like this. Since I was at it I also decided to go with the X2 ball joints for the extra drop, QA1 Bumpsteer kit and Steeda 4 bolt CC Plates. Other things like what tools you used like the pit-man arm puller on the spindle was nice to see as I had a cheap Harbor Freight puller and broke that. Only problem I had was dropping the rear axle enough to get the rear springs in. Once I removed the quad struts then axle came down. You put a lot of time into these videos where I catch everyone and just wanted to say the are appreciated! Thanks TKO!

    Nice work boys. The stance of that Saleen is what I was looking for. I have a 00 GT convertible. About two years ago I had H&R springs, Koni shocks and Maximum Motorsports CC plates installed. Why does it still have the ride height of a truck? In the rear I’m running 18x10 with 285/35/18 and I can still put a fist between the top of the tire and the fender. Those H&R springs are supposed to be a 2 inch drop all around, or close to.
    I also had new poly isolators installed. I always felt like those may be the problem as they’re hard as a rock and won’t compress like stock rubber ones would..idk..stance is everything. It really dictates the style of wheel that’ll look good.

    • @OhItsThat
      @OhItsThat 5 років тому

      Rhonda Crowther Mine doesn’t look to bad in the front but the rear is painful to look at. I don’t understand how they engineer these things and don’t see how ineffective they are. I’d take out the isolators but my car only has 35k original on it and I’m not trying to beat on it.

    • @NorCalxSoldier14
      @NorCalxSoldier14 5 років тому

      Steeda x2 balljoint will drop it more and I’ve read people removing the spring isolators for an extra half inch or full inch.

    Nice video and great shoots. But did you go to small on the sway bar end links? They come in 1/4” increment lengths and I believe your supposed to keep the sway bar end level with the control arm. Yours seems so short it’s twisting the sway bar down, not horrible but it will change the force to flex of the sway bar. Just an observation. Otherwise, a lot of cool parts on that and a nice video man

    ABS sensor was left dangling with the screw broke off inside the spindle. Bumpsteer kit was installed without doing bumpsteer alignment. Didn't see a torque wrench used once.But......"details matter".

    • @fishsquishguy1833
      @fishsquishguy1833 7 років тому

      The Juff Those ABS sensors are a pain to take out without damaging and use a tiny bolt that breaks easily. Didn't show an alignment much less a bump steer correcting one so don't get your point?

    This video is came right on time. Im also about to do a total suspension overhaul on my gt within the next week so this video will definitely help me out alot. Just one question. I bought used maximum motorsports caster camber plates and in your video when you are bolting them down from the top I see you placed races on the bolt before you placed on the nut. So my question is it still possible for me to button those down without those races? Or can i purchase those from maximum motorsports somehow?

I called Saleen and they said that maybe they have the springs mixed up.... rear springs in front, front springs in back. Someone please help me. I’m not car or tech savvy. All I know is that the SOB fucked up my Saleen and it’s much much lower because it is inoperable because it’s pretty much almost resting on its belly, like 1.5 inches off the ground.
