Your family has inspired my wife and I to get our first RV to see our beautiful country with our 1 and 4 year old girls. I'm a service fitter that works on commercial and industrial hvac so full time RVing isn't our interest. But you've definitely inspired us to make memories while we are vacationing so that we will never forget as a family. You guys are amazing. Thanks for sharing you're journey.
Moooooore! I *must* have MOOOOORE! Y'all are the *best* 20 minutes of my Sundays! Pleeeeeze! Start making, like, 3 vids a DAY or something! Marc, your video skills are amazing, the views with this one to die for, and the MUSIC! I gotta' do a rewind on this one, guys. Best thing about Sunday nights. Absolutely.
We have binge watched some great HBO/Showtime/Amazon shows......NOW we are completely hooked and thoroughly enjoy KYD! We are definitely rerouting some of our future camping trips based on your shared experiences. Great Job!
Ohhhhhh more excitement-Moab next 🎉. I saw your funny guy tumble on the red sand in this video and I thought for a second you skipped ahead to Moab without a proper goodbye to Monument Valley Hahahah...I can’t wait for the tumbling they will do on the big red hill outside Arches!!!
Mesa, Butte, do you know what a RIF is? Your RIF on the mesa and the butte was perfect! Your wit, humor and timing are a winning combo! Love the way you all think!
From this Aussie.... "Phwoaar! What a bottler!" Magnificent scenery and fantastic cinematography. Well done team. Can't wait to see you Downunder - it'll be bonza!
I've been sitting here trying to find the words to express just how good this video is for representing one of the many treasures offered in our State of Arizona. Perhaps the best compliment I can give you is to tell you the reaction you inspired in my mom, Zona. Imagine a woman born in Sedona, 87 years (and one week) ago, and the pride she feels for her State. You might assume a person raised in such beauty would be immune to awe, taking for granted the vast splendors expected around every bend of the road. And though it is true she became accustomed to stunning vistas during her decades, there are still occasions when the magnitude of beauty is like a warm hug on her heart, welling her tears, and again kindling her pride in the State for which she was named. This video has presented one of those warm hugs. Thank you for giving her that. -Bill Evans
Thanks so much for mentioning the actual date you were there. It's so frustrating to see a video and hearing about how gorgeous the flowers are or how great the weather is and not know when! Thanks for all you interesting work.
Excellent footage of your hikes and sunrise and sunset. Never get tired of a '10' sunrise and a '10' sunset! Captured beautifully. As well, Trish's lecture on Weathering and Erosion is filling up to that hour slot for my Geography 12 class!
We loved Monument Valley when we visited last summer. It was very busy in June so you got quite a different experience. Would love to be there in the offseason. We're planning on taking my family there this summer when they are in town. Now I am even more excited after watching your video! Thanks for the beautiful footage. Agree with a previous poster, Moki Dugway is a favorite of mine.
Just recently started watching your videos and love seeing all the beautiful scenery through your families eyes. I'm legally blind and don't drive or travel.
I just have to keep commenting, not editing previous comments. It's like watching a moving many times; every time, I see something I didn't notice before and it's great!! Kids in back!! Oh me, I just love y'all, aka you'se guys, i.e., you guys... Tori, love your Santa hat!!
Another great video! We test drove the 6.7 liter and were amazed at the power output at such low rpms. Pretty cool that you were at 2000 rpms going up that grade! Stay warm!
Beautiful video with many beautiful views. I can't wait...... another 21 months before we retire and head west in our motorhome! Thanks for sharing these wonderful videos!
I cried while the sun came up with the music playing it all just felt like I was there, I can't imagine the experiences that all of you are having! Hope to one day make something as spectacular as this part of my journey! Thank you for sharing and being such a fun family to watch!
Your videos are always so beautiful and entertaining. It seems like they just start then they're over. I never get bored while watching them. If you have the footage you could add an additional 10 minutes and I'm sure no one would mind.
Thanks! Well... :) there is another 12 min of deleted scenes we're releasing tonight to the KYD Insiders. There are 20 episodes of deleted scenes so far. It's not an exclusive thing.... it's just we include footage that isn't quite ready for public such our winter camping trials or inside jokes that I'd rather not get comments from people that don't know us. It's nice to share a little more and not have to worry so much about the editing.
Wow! Incredible! Such a great video guys! Marc your killin it with the editing and music! Amazing how stable picture is in the moving truck on dirt rough road!
Two years ago, we stayed at the same campground as you when visiting Monument Valley. Monument Valley has to be one of the most memorable places we visited in the west. It's hard to believe they let drive around by yourselves for hours. It seems that we see pictures and video clips of Monument Valley in many, many movies, commercials and advertisements. I'm glad you stopped there.
Awesome content! Makes me wanna' jump in Mater, grab "Tow Me" and run for Monument Valley... We were over in St. George for Christmas and New Years... But without "Tow Me"... And we didn't get Traveling Ginger until we got home!!! Have since introduced her to "Mater" and "Tow Me... Or TV and TT to RV'rs...
Great video as always! Monument Valley is on our list. Tire pressure is so important when traveling. A compressor was a good buy and I feel a very important tool to have.
Been watching your videos for a few weeks now love them , now gimbals I got a Zyum Crain 2 gimble for my dslr love love it . I'm amazed how stable your videos are great job stay safe !
While we did not get to drive through that area, the desert drives are so beautiful in their own way. Excellent video editing. Great point about the pump and its something we may look into. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there. :)
Marc- great demo on the air compressor- looks like something every RVer needs to be on top of their tire pressure! Great views of Monument Valley, and wonderful re-introduction of you and your daughter giving great tips to those of us that want to visit where you have been- I'm one of them! I'm closer to purchasing my first RV- looked at a serious contender today, and the seller is willing to deliver it clear across the state of Washington, so we may be already prepared to take our first rv trip during spring break this year! We are so excited, and want to thank you, Trish and your family for inspiring us on the journey! Blessings, Bob
Be afraid, be very afraid. Just kidding of course. I think this is going to be the best season ever! Your musical choices are pretty awesome. The track when you were doing the loop for example. Mesa is the flat oasis. Butte is the cute guy standing majestically on the horizon:)
Eeeeekkkkkk i love seeing you all back on the road!! More exciting is seeing you on paths we recently did - my kids love to relate to your travels!!!! I’m soooo bummed you didn’t stay for the Dino tracks! You could have maybe bought an arrowhead or something from them and got change!? Next time! Worth seeing and getting your dinosaur poop LOL!!!! On the way home!!!! LOL and shaking my head too...I can’t believe how much Goulding’s charged for the kids - GRRRRR!!!! I showed up at night and let myself in and picked my spot. Paid on our way out and never mentioned kids hahaha--but I didn’t know they charged for them either. That’s tooo much!!!
Just about to teach weathering and erosion in Geography 12 - Will definitely show segments of your video to the class! Excellent review of the difference between a butte and a mesa!
As an Aussie I stand humbled by your incredible scenery. However, we do have the world's oldest river, the Finke in the Northern Territory, we have the ancient Wilpena in South Australia, which geologists have put out signs showing the ages of the strata up to 265000000 years ago, with fossilized stromatolites!, etc, also other glorious places, even if it does take more than a week to cross a state. Love to see you come out here.
Awesome and thank you guys for this video that is what I did also about the air pump I got tried of trying to find air only to find it not work and you have to feed it with some coins but I did have to get a extension air hose just to reason to the back of my 5th wheel. I love the color of your truck that color was my second choice but my first was flame red so it grew on me. Keep up those video because I would never go to the places that you guys have gone, be safe and keep it up.
Beautiful scenary and music!!! The west is truly the greatest gift (along with Alaska) provided to us. This is an area hubby and I will visit one day in our travels. Along this 17 mile drive are there places to boon dock? Niw that's an air compressor to have!!! Looking forward to your upcoming review. Hugs, Sandy and Jay Livesay
comming to australia???? me and wife nearly jumped off the couch and stated our motorhome up in preparation to see you...lol...but im not sure australia is the same as the states, over here its vast open spaces, can take days to travel any where,,but the emptiness can be a real eye opener, and you guys are very welcome to come here and share the love!
Viair rocks. I also use it to air my jeep back up. I also double tow an 18' trailer an it will reach all the way back there with the extra hose I bought with the unit. It's nice because I can share it with friends also.
What awesome views. We will definitely be putting that on our bucket list for our trip to the southwest likely next winter. Yukon-Alaska is first up this year.
This is great! I am glad that I stumbled on it. My wife and I are empty nesters and are planning to RV travel the U.S. in the next 1 or 2 years. I like the idea of a travel and tow vehicle so that we can unhook and explore.
Welcome. We like the towable RV. Feels more like home when it's setup and drive days are normally short - couple hours between destinations all across N. America
Love the video guys, it brought such a personal touch to the screen. Watching the fam with you. I had to call my wife over a couple times to show her shots of places. I can't wait to go and explore this place. I grew up in British Columbia and take the mountains for granted I guess but the Monument valley looks so nice, it has to be experienced.
Went to a dinosaur tracks tour in the painted desert 🌵 was free and given by a little 9 yr old girl🤷♀️😁 but don’t miss any of them if you have the chance. Our kids were little and still remember it👍🏻🙏🏻.
Oh my gosh I was just going through there last week with my camper. And we stayed at the same campground. Dang I wish we could have seen u 😱 we stayed about three sites from where u guys were
I've missed you all over the past few weeks(my bad). We visited Monument Valley in the early 80's. The camp ground I think you mentioned wasn't their in it's present form, no the 17 mile loop. No one wants to drive any more"lets fly" they say. So many of the places you visit bring back many memories. thank you.
Oh my ......man we wait for that video with anticipation and it's over in almost 20.min lol aaaaahhhhhh...lol oh well thank you both for that footage and what you do as always.. Ps. Crazy thing is we live in vegas, and have been to Utah many times and did not ever know about that place ..lol were going there..thx guy's
We've never been either. It's JUST far enough out of the way to make driving through difficult. I suppose, to Tricia's point, that's why people only stay one night.
Three Sisters and Left and Right Mit are the only ones I remember from our trip. The ranger let us drop our 19ft Open Road near the visitors center and drive around in the valley.
God willing i will start me journey at the end of this year. Still debating of the type of RV i will be getting. I am up in age , that is one factor, one item from the old bucket list . It will finally come true. One more surgery to go and i will be starting the process of checking items off that list. It is like going to school and learning the process of living in an RV and traveling. Though without children. Great instructional videos.
Your videos are absolutely stunning. I watch a lot of videos & yours ranks top of them. I watch beautiful south sea sailor videos, RV videos. motorcycle videos but yours is the best. Thanks for the hard work you must put into the shots and editing. Wish you safe travels.
So many people who travel in vans move into boats!! We went the other way- lived on boats for 14 years (still have one as a homebase actually!) but now we explore by van!! 😊👍 And motorbike..... totally recommend that as a way to explore!!
Thanks for sharing those amazing views!!! That area is on my list but when it's a little warmer!!! I just left the RTR and headed north of Quartzsite to the Escapers gathering for a few days and then the direction of travel will depend on warm temps!!! Hope to see you on the road!!! Enjoy the Journey!!!
Aussie friend here! Just remember that Australia and USA are roughly the same size. You will see some amazing rock formations like that particularly in some of the more remote areas.. You will also see every other type of scenery you can imagine from rain forest, to desert to agricultural land. You just have to do an amazing amount of preparation before you venture into remote areas.
A mesa is a large flat topped plateau with at least two steep, cliff-like sides, found in landscapes with horizontal strata... while a butte is an isolated hill with steep sides and a flat top (similar to but narrower than a mesa).
That's great. You won't regret it!

Thanks. Always good to hear 20 min goes by quick. The deleted scenes for this episode is 12 min. Rendering now.
Agreed
I get other UA-cam notifications but when this one pops up it's like...OOO OOO OOO YES!
Love it. I’m always ready to hit the road tomorrow after an episode!
Beautiful views and music!! Will put this on our list for the SW.
Love the hand gesture there Marc describing the plateau and I’ll just leave it at that lol. Very nice video beautiful place
We're still laughing at this!
We have binge watched some great HBO/Showtime/Amazon shows......NOW we are completely hooked and thoroughly enjoy KYD! We are definitely rerouting some of our future camping trips based on your shared experiences. Great Job!
Welcome Luis. That's awesome!

Love it.
Your storyline has always been spectacular, and still is, but your cinematography has gotten so amazing. Keep up the great work, I love watching.
Geez. Thanks Mike!
Could just stare at the beautiful footage of the breathtaking area for hours. Perfect music pairing as well. One of my favorites. :)

Yeah, we like that addition a lot too.
Unbelievably beautiful! Thank you for sharing the experience with us!
Loved seeing the mustangs! Beautiful views!
Spectacular!! The scenery and the music were amazing! Top 5 of all time favorite videos (across all of UA-cam)! WOW!
wow! Thanks!
a wish for some but a dream for others, thank you for letting me be a part of your journey.
Sharing it has made it even better.
Another totally Awesome video, and that scenery!!!! wow, thanks so much for sharing!!!!!.
Thank you for referencing the music! I love that the artist is getting credit. Beautiful videos. I can't wait to go.

Love the gorgeous shots. Miss AZ scenery and this is amazing
I had to smile when you described the weather as "cold". It's all relative I know but it was minus 29 here this morning, it was cold.
We're in CO now. It's really cold now :) It will be even colder next week!
Thank you for the beautiful sunrise 🌞

Awesome views, great job capturing the beauty.
Land-o-the John Wayne movie!! Love the monuments.
Once again another super beautiful and awesome video to share with my my daughter (she's 7). We love watching the adventures you guys take us on!!!
It is great to revisit this place through your videos...we have seen Monument Valley during one of our summer vacation ,going through Moab...
I follow several "RV" UA-cam channels.......Yours is, by far, the best production. Nice job.
Beautiful music & beautiful filming. I love your kids. They're great. :)
I cried while the sun came up with the music playing it all just felt like I was there, I can't imagine the experiences that all of you are having! Hope to one day make something as spectacular as this part of my journey! Thank you for sharing and being such a fun family to watch!
You will. We do what we think about most!
My husband and I got to live in Australia for a few years! My advice to you is... go to Australia as soon as you can! We fell in love with it. Do it!
Your videos are always so beautiful and entertaining. It seems like they just start then they're over. I never get bored while watching them. If you have the footage you could add an additional 10 minutes and I'm sure no one would mind.

Reviewing this one again. Making plans to visit later this year. Great info and photography.
Wow! Incredible! Such a great video guys! Marc your killin it with the editing and music! Amazing how stable picture is in the moving truck on dirt rough road!
Yeah, that gimbal was worth it for footage from inside the car.

Great video love the views and music selection, soon very soon, we shall be taking in these kinds of views!
I really enjoy your videos, you guys do a awesome job capturing some great shots!!!!!
Great video as always! Monument Valley is on our list. Tire pressure is so important when traveling. A compressor was a good buy and I feel a very important tool to have.
Awesome sunset of the South West Mesa and Buttes.
Beautiful video! It used to be called Mitten View, but now it's called The View Hotel. Amazing.
Been watching your videos for a few weeks now love them , now gimbals I got a Zyum Crain 2 gimble for my dslr love love it . I'm amazed how stable your videos are great job stay safe !
All I can say is WOW. Absolutely Beautiful. We are making or plans for Utah soon. Thanks as always guys!!!!!
Oh my lord! Amazing footage! Great job guys! Never get tired of that area!
Wow awesome! I definitely have to visit this summer. I went to Moab last year. Gorgeous place to visit.

Thanks Bob!
We got to see some in Moab. Hopefully it makes the video. Pretty uneventful :)
Just about to teach weathering and erosion in Geography 12 - Will definitely show segments of your video to the class! Excellent review of the difference between a butte and a mesa!
:) That's awesome. I'll let Trish know she'll be a guest presenter.
When you bring the boys around to look at the school, Trish can come in for a guest appearance!

Thanks for the great video. We will be there mid April and looking forward to it.
Another very entertaining video with yet another place to add to our list of places to see!
Hugs,
Sandy and Jay Livesay

Viair rocks. I also use it to air my jeep back up. I also double tow an 18' trailer an it will reach all the way back there with the extra hose I bought with the unit. It's nice because I can share it with friends also.
Amazing video! Amazing everything! Loved the ending, and hope viewers saw the little surprise!
Lol. Even I didn't when editing. But I do now!
It was great! Love the editing skills. Can't wait for the goofy family music video!
Love the videos you and your family make. Keep up the great work!!

You'll be an expert in no time at all. We have a lot more how-to content to create. A bit behind on those vids.
We're going to have our first RV this spring : you're vidéo just gave me an astounding place to go. Excellent views.
Your videos are absolutely stunning. I watch a lot of videos & yours ranks top of them. I watch beautiful south sea sailor videos, RV videos. motorcycle videos but yours is the best. Thanks for the hard work you must put into the shots and editing. Wish you safe travels.

Yeah, AU would have to be a few trips with different types of rigs. Good input. Thx
Great video and awesome music!
Thanks for your video's, my fiance and I just purchased our first travel trailer and are picking it next weekend. :) "Safe travels"
Congrats!
Wow so beautiful
Look who it is! Long time to read :)
A mesa is a large flat topped plateau with at least two steep, cliff-like sides, found in landscapes with horizontal strata... while a butte is an isolated hill with steep sides and a flat top (similar to but narrower than a mesa).
Lake Lili further to that a mesa is wider than it is tall. A butte is as wide as it is tall. A spire is taller than it is wide.

We passed by there a few years ago, but didn’t stop. I’m going back.
Happy Trails
