I am mostly a rock fan, but I think it's tragic that a guitarist like this would only play small clubs. Well luckily he's on youtube where more than 200,000 people can watch him. Great tune, great playing and nice D'Angelico.
Peerless Monarch...great guitar (I have the 16" model)...there is a saying "rockers play 3 chords for 30 thousand people - jazz folks play 30 thousand chords for 30 people" a shame ...but seemingly true.
Wow! It amazes me how talented people are, but that doesn't give credit to you for the thousands of hours put in to achieve this level. This was pure pleasure to listen to.
Excellent rendition Matt. I really like the sound of that D'Angelico too. I realize there is some post-production sweetening, like delay or 'verb involved, but it sounds fine- great bang for the buck jazz-box, imho. Also like the various licks and techniques you have thrown into the mix- it does make it sound like a cool jam.
You can't; I purchased the rights and fed all written copies to my dog... I then collected the papery-pulpy dog terd and jammed it up my own fart-hole for further processing and fermentation. I thought that I'd absorb the ability to play the song, but it just inhibited my math skills. Good day, sir!

That tone is ridiculous…great job!
It’s always nice to hear a guitar sing a song.

Beautiful, just a volume control on the guitar, pure sound.
Very nice modern Jazz version, smooth clean and good sound quality.
I'm drowning in the tone , don't save me I'm happy here
Steel strings, for want of sheep's guts ; )
feel the same way - that's heaven for a guitarist!
Love the tone on the guitar!
I agree with many here that the best part of this is the guitar's tone.
This is amazing and super inspiring! I'm so glad I came across it by accident. Looking forward to hearing more.
Fantastic - I love the sound of your full chord playing, it's so Beverly Hills 👏

SMOOTH GOOD PLAYING
Saweet ! It really takes some skills to pull off an extended improvisation like this and keep in interesting and melodic.
I'm 99% sure this is a song and not improv.
True, but I think large parts of this music was improvised.

Remember when that was sort of the style back in the 90's haha. I was always like, "hey man, you can hurt someone's eye with that" Safety first folks!
