@@henrynyabuto4892 For Preservative as she is using distilled water. You can even use combination of Denatured 90% + Ethanol or higher proof vodka with water.
There is a way with your second recipe to clear up your finished product. You have the ingredients right they just need tweaked. Mix your Polysorbate at a 1:1 ratio or a little more Polysorbate to Fragrance oil. You might want to also switch to Polysorbate 80. It binds a little better with the oil. Mix the Polysorbate and the oil separately until well binded, 1-2 minutes. Mix Polysorbate mix into water. Certain oils might still be a little cloudy, but most will clear in several minutes. Adjusting your Poly amount to different oils will determine this.

This was very helpful for me. I have a candle business I started January of this year and so far I’ve grown and I’m learning. Think I’ll go with either of these formulas but of course I’ll watch and learn before I make a final decision.
This is a precise and scientific way to make a product, so that is awesome. I would probably use the travel spray containers at dollar tree where you get 2 spray bottles and a small flip top container for $1.25. I would use the flip top for travel shampoo or conditioner or body wash, but use the others for spray. They have a good mist and I reuse them. I have created makeup finishing spray or put witch hazel in them for toner to spray on after a shower, yet you can use them for anything, the best deal I have found near me. There are many ways to make room refreshers or sprays, so it depends what you are looking for. Essential oils gives you freedom to explore what suits you. Let your heart be your guide.
I appreciate your work so much. I started to really work with essential oils and I'm trying to figure out exactly how to put them into products for home use. This helps so much thank you!

Thank you so much for your video! I purchased the base from flaming candle and used 2 oz glass bottles. I have a ton of bubbles when shaking and also I’m seeing the drops from where I sprayed. Is the formula the same with candles when mixing FO? I used 5% FO.
What are the measurements of each part? I just used witch hazel & essential oil & its terrible, doesn’t bind & smells like pure witch hazel. I want to try to keep the mix as eco-friendly as possible. Your method sounds pretty clean.

Thanks for this video Paris! I am in the testing phase for room sprays as well, so I really appreciate your video. I noticed when you measured ingredients for the premade base, you used 4oz base. Isn't this the total fill for your bottles? When you then added the 1.25 oz fragrance, didn't that take you over 4oz?
This might be a stupid question but I am curious. What happens if I add polysorbet to the Virginia supply base ? Asking since there’s oil separation and polysorbet is meant to bind.
Try using the poly80. I just viewed on another UA-cam the same reaction to the cloudy where they used poly 20 but then they tried the poly 80 and that removed the cloudy and caused the spray to be clear.
Hello Paris I love your videos! I have been in the practicing phase of candles, wax melts, soaps, and room sprays for a while now too. Have even sold a few. Are you ever going to do body sprays? I would love to see a video of one of your good recipes for it.
The distilled water recipe is the same recipe I use for my body sprays. Just make sure your fragrance/essential oil percentage is within the safe for skin range. Check with where you bought the fragrance.
Candlescience, flaming candle, Virginia candle is best for rooms sprays? And it’s Reed diffuser base the one is used for room spray as well? Thank you ❤
2nd formula worked great for me. Absolutely LOVE it. Thank you so much for sharing. Can you please tell me where you got the plastic spray bottles you used in the video? I'm having problems with my spray bottles.
I made a room spray using the same ingredients, but different brands. I notice it take a while for the cloudiness to disappear. I read somewhere that 190 proof sugarcane alcohol is a better choice than distilled water because the alcohol makes the scent last longer and there is t any separation. I’m going to try the alcohol. What are your thoughts on this?
Definitely with alcohol works much better but cheaper way is using distilled water!!! And for linen I think is better with water I’ve have done both alcohol and water and cheaper way is with water
Hey great video ! I was wondering would this method be useful with using a body mist base or would the amounts be different because it goes on the skin?
Thanks Paris for this video, I've been testing my car freshener for months now off and on, and the smell is just not strong enough for me. I definitely want to add the car freshener and room diffusers to my line. I'm going to now try a preservation, that never crossed my mind.
