@@GG-xz7nv- I have never experienced what you are experiencing. For this base, I use Midwest fragrances - as well as, Makesy, Brambleberry, Morouge Canada and Crafter’s Choice - at 5% fragrance load. I am a shaker so I shake the base before mixing it with the FO, after mixing and then even before I spray it. What brand FO are you using?

@@GG-xz7nv - after I responded to your comment, I went and sprayed more in the restroom on the shower curtain and I only smell the base for a few seconds and then the Black Sea fragrance comes through. I just asked our daughter too - she uses them and she is not experiencing a strong base smell. Keep me posted - I am going to keep a close eye out too.

Others have also said more sweet gourmand bakery/food type scents didn’t work well for them because the odor eliminating ingredient, so I think it may also have something to do with the vanillin percentage in each FO as well as the ingredients each one is made from etc. More testing in my future lol, gotta love it.😅

I would say the pros are how quick and easy it is to use, the clear formula, that it’s also an odor eliminator, and I do find the scent to last longer. The cons would be that you go through it fast. One 16oz bottle of the base will only make four 4oz sprays, so you do have to bulk up on the base if you’re going to be making a lot.

Hello! Yes, you don't need to add anything to the base. That's a great question and I don't know that I have the best answer for that. I would say probably a year or so, as most fragrance oil companies will say their fragrance oils have a shelf life of about a year. I've also read that oils can stay good for two years or longer if stored in a dark, cool place.
I never really noticed that until recently. I have since switched room spray base to the one from Hive & Honey. It's wonderful and doesn't leave behind any residue! collabs.shop/qj1li4

You need to use the label designer because it has the templates figured out for printing. If you just printed from Canva, they most likely won't be aligned correct with the labels on the sheet.

Hi there. Yes, you do go through it quite fast versus the old formula I would use featuring distilled water. I don't mind it though because it takes so much less time for me to make them now, and it's a lot easier. Time is money!

I have 2 of the ToAutos....(both 6L size) using one for c55 melts and the other for coco apricot.....both of them are getting up the 212 but once I get the wax in my pitcher to add the fragrance oil its already down to like 185.....I don't know what to do =( If I should keep using them and test to see if it's really affecting the quality or if I should just get different melters that can get hotter. I was hoping they would get up to 220 like yours but no dice! Have you had luck with other melter brands that maybe get hotter?
@@lizamackey7661 Oh dang! With any melter, it's going to cool off quite a bit once it is added to the pitcher. You could try adding the fragrance oil directly to the pitcher first, zeroing out the scale, and then adding the wax. Or you could heat gun the pitcher a bit before adding the wax. My old one is really the only one that I've used and had luck with. It's just a good ol' presto pot that my husband drilled a hole in for the spout.

Yes-I am trying all the tricks and even doing those I am able to get the fragrance it right at 200 but still goes down to 185 or lower before I even pour-and Im going fast! lol....I may try an old presto pot or maybe the one from Hive Honey... I personally haven't tried reusing the bottles. I'm wondering if pouring some rubbing alcohol in there and swirling it around and pouring out would help get rid of the previous scent.

Hi there. You would just use the same idea but swap out the 4oz for 2. Convert to grams if you wish. So, if you choose to do 5% fragrance load, you would multiply .05 x 2oz to get the amount of fragrance you would need.

Everything you need is already included in the base, including preservative. You just need to add the fragrance and that’s all! So easy.

How close are you spraying it to the table? I just do mists up in the air and let it lightly fall. I've never had any issues.

With the 16oz base, you can get 4 sprays.

What is the percentage of the pre-mad base for room sprays.
Hi there. It depends on what fragrance load percentage you are wanting to use. For 5% fragrance, it would be 95% base.
I love the scent retention on this base. However, for me, the floor gets greasy when I spray it. Have you experienced this too?
Oh no! My house is all carpet so I haven’t noticed that
I’ve noticed this as well! Our vinyl ends up with a “grease spot” from the spray 😭
Do your labels bleed?
They do not bleed, but with the kraft paper if you rub them too much the lettering will start to fade. @@stanwong2856

Hi! How do you convert bottle ml to grams? Or did you weigh your bottle?
I weigh out all of my ingredients by grams, so the 4oz is the total net weight of the ingredients.

I wouldn’t recommend spraying it directly near pets, but yes you can use it in homes with pets. I do :)

What would be the formula for 2 oz bottles ?
Hi there. You would just use the same idea but swap out the 4oz for 2. Convert to grams if you wish. So, if you choose to do 5% fragrance load, you would multiply .05 x 2oz to get the amount of fragrance you would need.

What about alchohol?
No alcohol needed with this base. I know some recipes where you make your own base require alcohol, but you do not need to add anything to this base.
Hi Bree! I see on your ingredient list for the room spray, you list optiphen as an ingredient, which isn't an ingredient listed in Midwest's base. What percentage should that be? When did you add the optiphen? I re-watched the video but must be missing that part? Thanks Bree
Hey there! I don't add it. The ingredients listed are what is in the base from MWFC plus fragrance oil.
