I love making reed diffusers. If I use a clear vessel I also sometimes add quarts crystals or even frosted glass marbles. I also like to mix reeds and flowers together. By the way. I shop makesy alllll of the time. They are one of my favorite companies and have amazing customer service.
Ahh, thank you... I was not using Fl Oz, which was probably why I was not getting the throw due to inaccurate formula. Now I understand. Many thanks--- Dee
Question? Could we break this mixture up and place into smaller bottles? Example car diffuser? And also would we label any diffuser kinda like the room spray and candles, from your previous videos? I don't know why but you make me feel so at home. Like my Auntie. I love it here. Lol Thank You for all the knowledge
Have you tried fractionated coconut oil as the base carrier oil instead of diffuser base? I wonder what the difference is and I have been trying to research if coconut oil would last long and work as well. It’s hard to find the answer.😅
Is a must to use the scale when doing the diffuser? If so what is the name of the scale? If we are not using the scale, how many litres of oil can we use and also how many litres of base?
@@HowToLymarie Thank you! I know when using FO you need to look at the IFRA for max usage percentages however some of the EO I purchased online don’t have this data available. How do I know how much to use?
@@michellesirisuk5537 less is more. Especially if you want the final product to be skin safe. Just a few drops to start. And research which oils are ok for skin and which aren’t. But in general for a room spray, start with less and add more as needed. For a diffuser, research which oils are safe to be diffused in the air. Some are not safe for pets
Hi!! I love your tutorials but I’m a little confused, on the IFRA sheet for dark rose and labdanum the limit to use on reed diffusers is 17.3%, but on the makesy’s detail for that FO says reed diffusers: 40% ( I’m guessing that makesy haven’t updated the details) For a 7 oz fill will be 5.98oz. Base and 1.02 oz fragrance oil right? … please help!
From what I gather from reading, the % have changed and the ifra sheet is correct. It is because you touch the reeds when you flip them. People in the industry were greatly upset when this changed. ( a year ago?). So yes. Technically you are supposed to go by the ifra sheet for every fragrance.
I know this comment is old, but replying for anyone new here. When it comes to Makesy, always go by the IFRA & SDS! I'm forever double checking mismatched information their PDP vs. the IFRA and the product pages are always completely wrong. I don't think they ever updated them for the 2023 changes! Today I just found that Yuzu Blossoms & Hinoki is NOT allowed at 40% for Diffusers but only 7.7% and that Creamy Woods & Sweet musk is NOT 40% for Diffusers but only allowed at only 15.5%. Also recommend re-checking the IFRA in 6 months increments or before a re-order, because they change a bunch too :)
Were you looking for specific recommendations from Makesy? Otherwise I could recommend from Porter Candle Supply, Scent Memory or Wholesale Supplies Plus as well.
Thanks for the information, I got as a gift an oil, sticks, and a small vase, but no instructions on how to do this. Thanks to your video now I know.

How do you make diffuser oil for a cold air whole house hvac diffuser?
Thank you!
Hi.how long does the diffuser last?
Can I use either of the 2 with any essential oil?

I loveee it💯❤️
Can you reuse that glass container and put a different scent once its out?
I would think so if you clean it with alcohol
Cool!
I’m wondering if the other flower ones out there do the same thing.

Can you mix in fragrance oil and essential oil?
Yes! In fact it’s best to mix essential oils into a fragrance or carrier oil!

I use 40%. Since you’re not lighting anything on fire I would make the diffuser stronger. Your calculation is correct
Oh Ok that makes sense, thank you so much! Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Ifra 10a is for reed diffusers as of April 2023 so you are correct when reading the ifra

לא ממש הבנתי, חוץ משמן מה זה החומר השני ?
היי, לא שמים אלכוהול ?
Any other fragrances you like?

I really appreciate you sharing this! 🤍 I’m curious to know if this particular formula can be used in a diffuser as another option for customers.
