I love how there’s never any real studies on natural products that have been used for centuries. No real studies because no big money to be made
It's so frustrating, especially as an undergrad trying to prove the effectiveness of these methods, but they will only accept research from peer reviewed articles
100% it’s that simple

@@nick2658 AMEN! Praise Jesus!! Our Lord and King!
@@lorae7 yes we should always praise Him and remember to keep His commandments including the sabbath as well which is saturday
Note: there will NEVER be a study on a natural remedy, herbs, vitamins etc. never. It’s in no one’s interest. Listen to the experience of others, have conversations and test it yourself! ❤
There is plenty of research on natural medicine including homeopathy, herbs etc.
There are and you can find a good deal done by people who really care about what they're doing! My family is starting to find and purchase books of studies done on herbs, but all of the authors are total hippies. I said, if my herb specialist isn't wearing a tie dye bandana kissing a plant I don't trust him! Some of it's in conventional medicine but a lot of it is more alternative but nevertheless legitimate.

I don’t care about paid studies. I’d go by peoples experiences dating back thousands of years over paid studies any day!
I head that ❤
Same.❤️... I despise Big ROTHCHILD Pharma....🤨
I do care about paid studies but things that's easily available r not studied coz they don't make much money for companies. So will have to go by word of mouth.
yea like i give a crap about what experts tell me 😂
Studies are payed for and most (if not all) are not independent, even universities depend on funding to conduct studies, so the credibility of most studies is questionable...
I’m of Danish decent, blonde fair haired lady age 57. I started 3 months ago using castor oil 2-3x’s/week on my hair. I have much less hair fall & my hair is starting to feel fuller & is shinier. I’ve also have been applying it to a fatty benign tumor above my knee. It was an inch & a half long & quarter inch wide. Castor oil packs night & day has reduced it to a third of the size at this point & has softened & dissolving the tumor so much! Maybe scientists who aren’t swayed by money should research castor oil. Then pray big pharma doesn’t try to get greedy & make castor oil expensive somehow. There are quite a lot of positive testimonies out there. I highly recommend using castor oil.
🌟👍
Do you live the castor oil all night or during the day?
@@merislopez722 Yes I leave it in all night and or all day. If I leave it in all night I wrap my head with a cover of some sort. If I leave it in all day, I wear a ball cap. Then just shampoo & condition like normal.

Castor Oil has been a game changer for me and my family! We won’t live without it. When I asked my Dr what he thought about Castor Oil he said, “Son, are you suicidal? Why on Earth would you ingest oil?” He then asked me if I needed an antidepressant. THIS IS WHY YOU DO NOT CONSULT YOUR DR regarding homeopathic treatments! EVER!
😅😅
Hi! What an odd dr! What kind of Castor Seed Oil do you use. I’m new to this, but understand there is cold pressed and something else. I plan to try it! Thanks!❤❤
It's all about greed. Doctor's don't give advice on something that is not prescribed because the pharmacutical companies don't pay drs. Unless they're pushing they're drugs

I'm 40 and work 3rd shift. Castor oil is the only thing that has healed my eyelid eczema. My eyelids are no longer red, burning, and itchy. It has also helped get rid of my dandruff and soothed my itchy scalp. I've tried many face and hair products before castor oil, and castor oil has been a miracle product for me. Best 10$ I've ever spent.
Would you mind sharing how you used it for your dandruff? Thank you
Yes pls share and also what brand etc. thanks.
What brand?
Sky organics castor oil has a twist top. I squeeze it onto my scalp and comb through my hair, and sleep with a silk bonnet on. I wash it out when I wake up.
Same here. Resolved the eczema at the base of my scalp. I use it only once a week. I mix in an applicator 1 part olive oil and 3 parts castor oil. I apply to dry hair from my scalp to the ends of my hair. Then wear a shower cap, wrap a towel around my head and watch a movie or whatever for about 1/2 hr to hour. I then rinse, gently wash, rinse again and wash one more time. My hair is shiny and silky looking and has never looked better (I have highlighted hair that was over processed). I tried coconut oil as a carrier oil with it but I have sensitive skin and the coconut oil can be an irritant and it definitely was irritating to my scalp. Olive oil as a carrier oil works much better.
Fast forward a month of using castor oil for my hair, and I can tell you with 100% certainly that it really does help with hair growth. I have fine baby hairs along my hairline that I haven’t had in years!!! I’m going to try it on my eyebrows now too. I’m in my 50’s now and what the heck is up with eyebrows getting sparse as you age???
almost two decades ago I started adding a small amount of castor oil (about a quarter size into my shampoo). You would think adding it into shampoo wouldn't really do anything and that you would be washing it out immediately but I read some anecdotal evidence supporting it for hair growith so I decided to try it. I remember after using it in my shampoo for about two months and then going to my hairdresser for a trim. She was astounded at my hair health and said I had baby hairs growing in everywhere. The castor oil was the only thing I could think of that I have done differently.
Does it weigh down your hair adding it to the shampoo? Or make it greasy?
It has definitely helped grow my eyebrows back.
Great idea! I shall do that.
Do u put 1/4 size castor oil in the shampoo bottle or put it on yr hand and mix with shampoo? Please advise, thanks

Hi Dr Dray! I had a ganglion cyst in my wrist for about 2 months and it kept getting bigger every week. I put Castor Oil on it and wrapped it at night with a piece of gauze soaked in castor Oil on the cyst using a compression sock. The ganglion cyst literally disappeared in 2 days. So wonderful.

Back in the 60s, my mother used castor oil for any warts us kids would get. She would put the castor oil on the wart, cover with a bandaid, and then change it out every day. The wart would be gone in no time.
My 4th child was over a week past his due date. My midwives suggested an ounce of castor oil. Took it at 9 am, figured it didn't do anything. At 6 pm contractions started. At 7 pm, my son literally fell out of me in my living room. The stuff works miracles.
I drank castor oil to nudge both of my boys and it was the worst thing that has ever passed my lips but if the kid is ready, they're coming!
This “method” is known to women for centuries. Just in North America it is something
unique.
Poor little baby couldn't stand the horrible taste of castor oil 🙂

61 year old female. A year ago I had my first eczema flare in my life. I had orbital eye eczema, possibly started from lots of eye drops due to my dry eye. I had a little behind my ears too. The dermatologist gave me a thick ointment that cleared it pup. Two weeks ago it started again, this time like a shawl covering my entire neck and on my chest! My neck was red and on fire! I had ordered a bottle of pure cold pressed organic castor oil so I used it. I pinned my hair up high on my head, I poured some in my hands to warm it up and used it on my neck, face, and eyes and slept on my back. The next morning, my neck was barely pink and no longer itchy! I used it for 3 days and I have no sign of eczema at all!
Wow, that sounds like shingles. Glad it worked for you.
No! Thank goodness! No blisters and I never had chicken pox in my life. Five kids in our home and we never had it. @@Lita_213
@@Lita_213The way the commenter describes it -- covering her entire neck -- it could not have been shingles. Shingles can only appear on one side of the body at a time. So if it had appeared on only one side of the neck and chest then there is a possibility of shingles, otherwise no. 🙂
It has helped a lot on my eczema too, little areas of my chin, jaw & my hands. As little as 3 days it has cleared up the itchy redness! My skin on my face is smooth & great with mixing castor oil w/my face moisturizer. Hands is a lot better but not completely gone. Will keep using until it clears. Great natural remedy, was skeptical. Going to rub some in my knee & shoulders & see if it helps with joint pains. 💁❤️
I recently injured the back of my hand on a door ( I’m 71, so you can imagine how thin the skin is!). I applied castor oil a few times a day and the ugly bruising disappeared and my hand healed very quickly.
You might of healed with the extra massages. Bruised area if massage heals faster. Glad it helped !😊
I get a visceral massage every month, it’s deep and can be painful. I always use castor oil when I get home so I don’t develop bruises, works every time.
I was 7 days overdue. After my water broke and I still didn't go into labor, my midwife put castor oil with ice cream and orange juice. It tasted like a creamcicle (yum). Anyway, 3 hours later, I completed eliminated all poop and went into labor and delivered a baby boy in a jacuzzi. Beautiful Birth!
I'm in my 70s and have used for years. Eyebrows &lashes for growth &conditioning, on my scalp overnight for dry itchy skin, on my face for dryness and over time it reduced dark circles under eyes. I love this oil.
How do you use it? I have dark circles
Me too. All my life.
Do you mix castor oil with another oil or do you use it for your skin pure?
are you not going to share your process with those who are asking?
Has anyone found that it increases facial hair?? I have noticed positive effects but more facial hair which I never had before. ???
I've been doing castor oil packs for years for liver detox but I also use it on my skin. I'm 55 and it's helped heal a scar on my chest from skin cancer, when nothing else worked. I use it on my face, under my eyes where I have circles and on my eye lids for dry eye. It's helped immensely with all the above. I'm going to start using in on my bone spurs on my feet now. My MIL was a naturopath and used castor oil for SO many things. There aren't tons of studies because castor oil is not a money maker in the medical world. The use of it goes back thousands of years. There is so much to be learned from history with natural remedies, this is a very big one. It just happens to be amazing for your skin, the biggest organ on the human body.

I had a mole hat was driving me crazy on my neck. Went to the dermatologist and she said it would leave a scar if she took it off. I almost went to a plastic surgeon to get it removed, then decided to use castor oil, and baking soda on it. Within about 4 weeks the whole thing was gone. No terrible scar. I took before, and after photos too. Shocking !
Can you elaborate on how you used the 2 together? (Baking soda + Castor Oil)
There's a video of a guy who used to do manual labor and always get warts in his hands so he always used this remedy - 1:1 baking soda and castor oil mix. He scraped or used a pin to penetrate the wart just so the castor oil baking soda mix would penetrate and put a band aid on it. He would reapply the oil and change the bandage every 12hrs for a month. And the wart should disappear by then always in his case

I've actually just started using castor oil on my eyelids, as a desperate attempt to help my severe dry eyes. I was constantly feeling like something was in my eye and despite heat therapy, massage therapy, different eye drops, nothing else was helping me rid this problem and blinking was uncomfortable. I even had a humidifier going to put moisture into the air. I realized after a day or so of using castor oil ontop of my lids at night that the irritated feeling of severe dry eye was gone. I have been using castor oil on my skin for a couple of months now. I am 71 and don't think I could have used it 20 years ago. It would have been way too thick. Now, my skin is very dry and it seems to, for the most part, sink into my skin--not immediately but in a half hour or so. I really think my skin looks less dry since I started using it. In addition, I had a basal cell carcinoma on the side of my nose a couple of years ago. They surgically removed it using Mohs surgery but it resulted in a scar starting at the corner of my eye going to the corner of my nose--22 stitches. Every since then, that scar line has been extremely irritated looking and red. Since using castor oil, the redness is gone and it seems to have flattened pretty much completely. Anyway, it's a win for me.

you're hot for a 71 year old
love your detailed explanations, thank you great video
As a clinical Microbiologist I appreciated you using the current nomenclature for Cutibacterium.
What a nice surprise to find your site! You have won another subscriber-fan. Can never get too much info!!
I just want to say this; thank God for Dr Dray.
Perfect timing, thank you! Yes, used it in both skin and hair care.
How
I'm a fan of YOU Dr. Dray! Thank you for speaking truth! So many people get mislead---thank you for fighting the good fight!
Who is being misled??? You must be another dermatologist. LOL
My sister suggested it as her face looks younger and I asked her as at 57 I'm starting getting wrinkles.
I stay indoors always. I will definitely try it. I don't have any skin issues but wrinkles starting to show
I've used castor oil packs a few times & found them to be very effective for the issues I had .
Consider we'll likely never have any real studies about the effects of things like castor oil, because there is no money in it for anyone. e.g. it's cheap, it's not regulated, and it's very rare that anyone will pay for a study on a product that won't make money for anyone, unfortunately.
Exactly, she should just use a disclaimer and quit wasting valuable time talking about it.
Exactly, whoever gets the benefits from castor oil would spread the word, and we can all benefit from it. Isn't that the best study?
Studies have been done for years. It's an old remedy for hair growth, lightening skin etc
@@juliasummers7417no... that's not how science works...
@@arihaviv8510no because it's nature's science 😮.
WOW 😳 are you a Doctor.
Trust in nature and your life 😊 will be better 🙏
It also absolutely works at removing warts!
Thanks for the info Dr Dray. Take care.
I have it in my hair and on my face now lol. I noticed it makes my skin softer but I also ended up with a couple pimples too. So far it seems to help with hair growth also is great for a hot oil treatment
Thanks for this Dr Dray!
thanks for watching
I’ve been using it on my skin and love it!!! At first it is sticky like honey but!!! It sinks in quickly and skin so soft, great under makeup
I've been using castor oil for over 16 years all over my body. I was born with eczema, I've always had a bad dry, flacky patches and tectured skin. When my i visited my grandma when i was 17, she gave me a small bottle of castor oil to put mix with my acqeous cream. I never left that combo till now. Its the only thing that has ever worked. I cant believe a dermatologist never recommended me castor oil to try all these years.
How old are you now?
Doesn't it cause body hair growth?
@@moonchild650 No it doesnt.
Your dr didn't recommend it b/c that takes away their profit! Can't be disturbing big Pharma /big daddy drug dealer now!
I have dry eyes. I was using it for eye lash grow and found it also helped with my dry eye over night. I use a mascara wound and then rub it in. Do not need to use drops any more.
Thanks to all of you (and Dr. Dray!) for your anecdotal feedback. As long as it doesn’t harm you I don’t care if a lot of studies have been done on it or not. Your experiences mean more to me. Thanks, again! ❤
Exactly. Thousands of years of use!
In Haiti, Castor oil has been used for everything.
I used castor oil on my lashes…..and it did work. My lashes did grow. So I still use it.
Thank you Dr. Dray. I was about to buy castor oil because of all of the claims I’ve been seeing.
We need more natural solutions. Putting chemicals on my skin is something that I want to get away from. Would love for you to do a series on natural solutions...you've been so good with doing inexpensive solutions. Thank you!
Amen! I left nursing and started a natural based skincare business a while back and I have found SO many wonderful things for our skin found in nature!❤
I know what you mean…but just wanted to say, that everything is made of chemicals. Even castor oil is a chemical.
I'd suggest stop using that term 'natural'. It really is a marketing scam. Cyanide is natural for example.
What's wrong with chemicals... what else are you going to put on your face? 🤔
Everything is made of chemicals. The chemicals in castor oil happen to come from the castor seed plant.
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray! Sounds like a nice option for the cold months! Looking forward to your comments on the topic 😊
Greetings Theresa Berg hope u r well n Happy Wednesday😀👍💜….

I use castor oil. I warm it up in my hands before applying to my face. It’s amazing for my extremely dry skin in the winter.
Hi Dr Dray, could you also advise on using Rosehip oil on face ? does it benefit in reduce wrinkles and fine lines ? Thank you.
Thank you , as always great , honest information.
I love castor oil. I use it on my eyebrows and my hair.
If Barbara O’Neill says it can reduce a bump then that’s who I am listening to.
Agree 💯
Love using Organic Cold Pressed Castor oil on my face, skin, lashes, eyebrows and hair. Outstanding results! Will never stop ❤
I use castor oil for removing eye makeup. It doesn't aggravate my blepharitis while mineral oil does.
I have used Castor Oil on my face, just spot treatment whenever I have dermatitis and it works ok, help soothe my skin and also a good makeup removal.
As soon as I learned about it I put it on my forehead wrinkke i have had since 22. It worked instantly most likely filled it in!! I used cold press Jamaican castor oil with a tiny but of almond oil. The one referred was regular cold pressed castor oil which I will try next.
I use it for my lashes and helps the growth and thickness
I’ve been using it for about a year now I really love how I believe it has helped with my frown lines and I think overall it just helps all of my products absorb better. I also put it on my stomach for the other health benefits.
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray so excited to be here I live for this ❤️

Love your Christmas tree. It's gorgeous! 🎄
thank you ;)
I put castor oil on my ankle after twisting it. Used it for about 2 weeks , it helped greatly.
I’ve been using Neocutis Micro gel and my skin has never been better. Castor oil is listed in the ingredients.
It reduces inflamation in joints as well!!!!
Hi Dr. Dray, I use castor oil in my hair care products and skincare treatments and I love it 😍
I used castor oíl to help accelerate the healing of a varicose ulcer many years ago.
I love Castor Oil. I live in a super dry climate- Denver and it really helps. I put it on after my beauty products and them Cerava on top to remove the sticky.
Castor Oil heals dry heals and cuticles
very thorough, thanks!
Please make sure the castor oil is pure and hexane free. It’s wonderful for the hair… in India we have been using castor oil for years but always mixed with cold pressed coconut oil (3/4 coconut oil and 1/4 castor oil)
What is Hexane
A chemical used in gasoline and for extracting oil from tiny seeds, such as rape seed, otherwise known as Canola oil.
What is Hexane, and where do you get cold pressed coconut 🥥 Thank you
Also needs to be in a dark glass bottle, not plastic!
This combination is exactly what I apply on my not so dry body after a shower and at 69 my skin is very soft, smooth and looks quite nice.
Been using castor oil for a month on my face and I have notice my skin more taught and my jawoling has minimized! This stuff is amazing g!
What brand of castor oil did you use ?
@@MommyDonna927get Jamaican back castor oil also better in glass bottle
Thank you for sharing your experience :) How exactly do you use it? Do you dilute it in anything? Cheers ^_^
I grew up with my grandma who was born in 1933. She used castor oil on me all the time. It’s helped with scars, burns, scraps, bruises. When I was little my toe nail was ripped off after getting caught in a door. She had me wrap my toe in a bag of castor oil. It grew back quickly and prevented a trip to the ER. We also used it on my brothers scar after his hips surgery.
Does it grow hair on face ?? Like Upper lips , facial hair, chin and sides ????????
@@MotorolaE4-np1kl nope but it’s very soothing. I keep some in a bottle, place it in a pot of hot water to heat up the oil then apply
~ Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! :)
Im a dry skin type and sensitive , my Bioderma toner has a some castor oil and if i use it to much i get some breakouts but its so helpful I still use it
I used it for kidney stones every night for 3 weeks as a pack with heating pad for first hour. Had been dealing with pain off and on for over a year. It’s been almost 2 months… pain is gone. I have a history of kidney stones in the past. I swear by this stuff ❤
What brand?
@@bridgetwoodward8031don’t see why it would matter.
I passed over 25 kidney stones. They were all made of calcium like most kidney stones. The only thing that stopped them was magnesium citrate every night, I stopped taking Ibuprofen and of course drink lots of water helps. But the magnesium was key. I used to have 3-4 stones in each kidney. After magnesium I went t for an ultrasound and the stones were gone. I have not pass a stone in 3 years
How did you take magnesium?

Me too! Castor oil is a life saver!
I’ve been using it for a year. It does give me really nice moisture.
I think it has helped my Dry eyes ( I put it on my eyelids thick)
I haven’t seen any help with discoloration and I’m not sure about wrinkles.
I think it feels good and I know it helps circulation so I decided to try it.
I use it on my neck because the neck is the age give away. I’m not sure it’s helpful but it sure can’t be worse!
😊
