Really love the amount of detail that bosses like Meta Ridley, Omega Pirate and Metroid Prime got Also like how change to the end cutscene of the Omega Pirate at 29:36 since now it shows melting into the puddle rather than just the model staying there
Money. That's the excuse. It costs way too much to port a game than it is to stream it. Plus you can basically charge a subscription for a game and make more money out of it.
Meta Ridley is my favorite boss, but Metroid Prime,my GOD, that thing is the grand finale and I expected a lot from it and the nailed it quite well; looks amazing.
Boi the bosses got so freshed out...omega pirate (the hardest fight imo) now got skin/hide and a tongue xD. Meta Ridley is stunning beaultiful, so is metroid prime (also with the two last bosses they cut a lot of "idle" AI time, the fights feels more dynamic and action packed)...one nitpick with prime is that his missile attacks lost ambient light in the explosion, it were a charm that added to the feel of a "battlefield" confrontation. Man, even flaahgra has leather/scales texture 👍
The only thing that only slightly bugged me was when Samus gets the phazon suit in the original you seen her violently shake and looked more badass like she was taking on immense power but here she just looks at her hand and sees she had a black suit
My favorite tactic for Ridley, once his wings are gone, is to fire up the Wavebuster and hose him down with it til he either dies or I run out of missles to power it. It's also pretty useful on Prime in its purple spider phase.
As a owner of Metroid prime om the Gamecube seeing the old bosses nee style it brings me great joy that they decided to remastered such a beautiful game. Wish I could play this amazing new form of a great game.
Great video, Alex! It's cool to see full footage of your battles against the bosses. Metroid Prime was certainly a game-changer when it comes to boss battles in the FPS genre, and it still has one of the best boss rosters of any FPS to date. Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your next upload!
I don’t own a switch so o probably won’t play this anytime soon but this game slapped in middle school. I was obsessed for quite a while. Of course I couldn’t beat it without tutorials on UA-cam but damn it was such a trip
Well, if this is how the game is gonna look, then they're better be remastering Prime 2 and Prime 3 too. And then maybe make a Prime Trilogy HD collection too. In any case, just bringing back the whole saga by the time Prime 4 is out...
It’s been so long since Prime was readily available, it would raise questions from a hell of a lot of potentially new fans if it just jumps from 1 to 4. 2 and 3 are almost certainly coming 😊
Coming from the same guy who accurately predicted what this remaster would be then it's nearly confirmed we'll get 2 and 3. And these titles have supposedly been ready for awhile
29:30 wait the literal whole reason for the metroid prime trilogy after this game is because big guy fell on samus (cause otherwise no phazon suit which means no dark samus) it's literally this guy's fault
@@robertkenny1201 I assume you can get all 4. I tested it but messed up my jump so I couldn’t get all 4 in one bomb. Regardless i killed him in about 3 minutes. Its an easy fight but idk if all 4 in one bomb is 100% possible
I was trying to spell my name (Alex) with plasma beam shots out of boredom lol. The second phase of the Metroid Prime boss is incredibly dull imo, check out my boss ranking video if you want the juicy details 👍🏻
If Retro Studios had been given a little more time to work on the original Metroid Prime, -Thardus would've been the boss of Magmoor Caverns -Phendrana's boss would've been a giant bipedal Sheegoth/Gorilla thing with 4 arms -Omega Pirate would've been a mini-boss or not existed at all, since it's just an enlarged version of the elite pirates -The boss of Phazon Mines would've been Kraid with weapons and armor like Meta-Ridley's, and infused with Phazon to explain why he's so much bigger in Super Metroid than the original Metroid Still one of the best games ever made, but it'd be cool to see those bosses someday.
I like how metroid prime in his first form is afraid of Samus and tries to escape but cant and have to fight. He knows he has met a stronger opponent and his days are propably counted.
While I love the amount of detail and texture added to the modeling of the bosses. I still like the original models better. One of the reasons I love Prime 1 and 2 is because they're visually stunning, end every creature looked very organic, very...real even for a game that's 21 years old. This remastered version is visually amazing however I feel the bosses ended up looking a little bit cartoonish. Anyway it's great that a new generation of gamers gets the chance to play Metroid Prime as a visually upgraded version for todays standards
What is it with Nintendo & *shockwave attacks?* Anyway, I love how bored you were at the Metroid Prime Essence fight, just SPEEN & jump roping. Gives the video more personality.
That is so lame how they changed the end of the Omega Pirate fight. Originally, when she gets the suit, it looks like Samus is in pain and then she controls the extra power through sheer will.
This game looks pretty 1:1 with the Trilogy version. It's been a loooong time since I played the original NTSC release, though. I've heard some people debate whether or not Metroid Prime attacks and generates Phazon slightly faster now, but I'm not sure.
I can say as a og gamecube player that the game felt a bit harder nearing the end the mines felt alot more panic inducing and felt like I took more damage but that's probably because normal is now the middle option so easy will be like the og
It's basically the same game if you played the original, with better graphics and HD. If you never played MP back then or you are a hard core fan then it is a very good option for you.
It’s an amazing remaster and (in my opinion) the definitive experience now. Seeing everything in high detail was pretty mind blowing. However, if you already own the (totally functional and amazing) original game then I’m not sure it’s worth 40 big boys. I’d recommend it to series newcomers, but advise waiting for a sale otherwise
I played the original in the GameCube and in the wii and I’m definitely buying this new version, this is one of the best games of all time and everyone should play it at least once
if you don't already have the original, get this without any hesitation! it's a masterpiece, and also a great starting point for newcomers to the series

Hopefully they’re made for the next (and hopefully much more powerful) console.
