We hope to tackle all the tracks in this album at some stage. Just a phenomenal band. Thank you for viewing and engaging. We hope to hear more from you in future. Much appreciated! 🙏
Great video! Ghost is virtually Tobias Forge, the creative force behind the music and lyrics (and the singer behind the Papa figures) He sometimes co-writes with others, but it's mostly his work. He allegedly wrote and recorded the whole first album, only with the help of a session drummer. For the tours and concerts he signs session musicians. Last couple of years the crew has been pretty stable tho. Thought I'd share my thoughts on the train in the video... In the start you see the train car is level.. (and each persons own "car" is travelling through life as time goes by) We are all alone in our own train car, with our personal items. Then.. sometime we all have to die, and our train car is connected to the upward going train where everyone is going up to "heaven".. Now.. Mephistopheles is associated with the German Faust legend, based on the historical Johann Georg Faust. In the legend, Faust makes a deal with the Devil at the price of his soul, with Mephistopheles acting as the Devil's agent. So he is harvesting souls for the Devil. Mephistopheles disconnects the last car from the train, saying that the passenger will never be alone. She can always reach him if she calls out to him. Obviously he is successful, as he derails (and "saves") the car going back down to life, by using his shovel.. as the flames creates a detour off of the main railway. The train car then rolls aboard the ferry that will take the person inside across the infernal river (Styx?) to the underworld. Walking off the ferry, symbolizes the soul leaving the life (train car) and entering the underworld. The shadows already there are other souls that Mephistopheles has harvested earlier.. Anyways... there are more imagery here that can be interpreted in different ways.. But as always with Tobias and Ghost.. Every song.. every lyric.. every album.. all their lore.. all the imagery.. is very well crafted.. Just wanted to share my 2 cents worth.
Yes, we read up a bit more on the Faust, Mephistopheles and Alistair Crowley connections. Makes perfect sense. I think when we watched the video, we concentrated on the music, which may have distracted us from looking at the deeper meaning, which is fascinating. Ghost are a very interesting band and in general, they tend to leave a lot up to be questioned, which is intriguing. Musically, we absolutely love everything we covered so far. More to come soon! Thank you for viewing and engaging. We appreciate the time you took to write all this and give us your take. Very interesting. We appreciated it! 🙏
Hey guys , Ghost “dabbles” with metal. Like you said, they write songs that stick in your head. I discovered them a year ago and although I don’t like it all, I absolutely love what I do like! I think you guys should listen to “FAITH” if you haven’t already.✌️
Hey Thomas! We heard about them before, but only started listening to their music after we started the show. We have so far covered: Spillways: ua-cam.com/video/yrglsi0XdG0/v-deo.html Dance Macabre: ua-cam.com/video/C6RhW1WDmx8/v-deo.html Ritual: ua-cam.com/video/UJCS0DIPDgw/v-deo.html Cirice: ua-cam.com/video/-F7DSSvti7s/v-deo.html and now Call Me Little Sunshine. So far, we loved them all and will continue going down that rabbit hole in the near future. We haven't done "Faith" yet, but it is on the list. Thank you for viewing and engaging. We hope to hear more from you in future. Much appreciated! 🙏
Yes, we have read up a little about it since. We were not previously aware of the Crowley story in relation to this. Thank you! Very cool. Thank you also for viewing and engaging. Much appreciated! 🙏
ua-cam.com/video/8pIM-aV4kWQ/v-deo.html Ritual live (last song) Papa Primo Also live in studio: ua-cam.com/video/TXjCXwtQv-8/v-deo.html (Papa Secondo) Enjoy! 🤘😜🤘
Thank you, Faye! We have already done an episode on Ritual: ua-cam.com/video/UJCS0DIPDgw/v-deo.html But we'll definitely check out the links as well. Such an awesome song. Still my (Itai) favourite so far. Thank you for viewing and engaging. We hope to hear more from you in future. Much appreciated! 🙏
Little Sunshine was a name Aleister Crowley said to call him during a trial - "The Beast 666' only means 'sunlight.' You can call me 'Little Sunshine." Good song, but I think there are much better songs on that album.
Thanks for that, Brian. At the time of recording, we were not sure about the connection, but we have read about it since and it is quite the interesting story. Unfortunately, when doing a first-time reaction to a song, we don't always know the backstory, but it's interesting to discover after as well 🙂 If this is song is not one of the better ones on the album, we definitely look forward to digging into more! Not having known Ghost's music before we started Babble On, we've been doing songs as requested by the audience. So far, we've also covered: Spillways: ua-cam.com/video/yrglsi0XdG0/v-deo.html Dance Macabre: ua-cam.com/video/C6RhW1WDmx8/v-deo.html Ritual: ua-cam.com/video/UJCS0DIPDgw/v-deo.html Cirice: ua-cam.com/video/-F7DSSvti7s/v-deo.html and we look forward to diving into more! Thank you for viewing and engaging. We hope to hear more from you in future. Much appreciated! 🙏
@@e_r_i_k_w We love that one, too! Ozzy is awesome! We did a reaction of Patient Number 9 on the show, but we should dive into the older songs, with Sabbath and after he went solo... Thank you for viewing and engaging. Much appreciated! 🙏
Wow! You are the second person to say that this is one of the "least best" songs on the album! If that's the case, we can't wait to dig into more songs from 'Impera'. So far, the only other song we've covered from the album is 'Spillways', but we did a few others from them from earlier albums. Awesome band! If CMLS is your least favourite from this album, which is your actual favourite? Thank you for viewing and engaging. Much appreciated! 🙏
@@JK-ld8cd Yeah, we love it as well, but we haven't heard the whole album yet. The only other song we heard from this album is Spillways, when we did a reaction episode for it. Can't wait to dive into more! Thank you for viewing and engaging! 🙏
I love this song. The whole album is a masterpiece. Griftwood and Respite on the Spitalfields have really grown on me. Twenties is cool 😎

Call me little sunshine is a quote from Alistair Crowley. Mephistopheles is not the devil. Check out Faust 👍
