Hi, Mari, I just made my very first pernil. Followed your instructions & ingredients. OMG! It was PERFECTION! SOOO delicious! I ate so much, my stomach hurts.😂. You're cooking is by far the closest to my mom's. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your recipes and helping me recreate my mom's cooking. God bless you. You're my Puerto Rican culinary angel! 😇 🙏❤
So, i discovered your channel because i wanted to make my own pastellilos. I'm Italian, married to Puerto Rican woman. I can make Italian food, but i really wanted to learn to make PR dishes for her. I've made sofrito, pastellios, pollo guisado, and I'm about to season a Pernil based on this video. Thank you so much!
I’m married to a Puerto Rican woman and thanks to your channel I learned some boricua recipes and made her a lot of surprises! She always wonder how I learned them. But your channel will be my little secret 😂
Looks delicious!! I love that you take ur time to throughly explain everything!!! Looks so delicious and will be giving this recipe a try soon!! 🙏🏼 Thank you
Thanks for this recipe I have never made one myself but I've always had one sent to me from my mother in Puerto Rico every year for the holidays. She would actually mail it to me but she is 91 years old now and it's hard for her to get around and I don't want her to go through the trouble so it's time that I learn how to make it.
Thanks for this recipe.... i use to eat this as a kid but since being an adult I gave up Pork. Wondering could I use this recipe on beef shoulder. Seems like it would be good too.
@@mariscookingpr Thank you so much! i made this last night along with your arroz con gandules, tostones and your Tres Leches Cake recipes my family absolutely loved them all were puerto rican and my abuela absolutely loved it all! I want to try my pernil smothered in some BBQ sauce. Then when I find the perfect BBQ sauce I want to serve it over some macaroni and cheese.
