Ingredients:
• 1.5 lbs dark meat chicken
• olive oil to taste
• 1 tbsp sofrito
• juice of 1/2 a lime
• 1 tsp Adobo, or to taste
• garlic powder to taste
• oregano to taste
• black pepper to taste
• achiote (annatto), to taste

I liked the lime instead of vinegar! I actually finished seasoning my skinless thighs I always season any meat that’s going in the oven with sofrito Tremendous flavor and 2/3 of pure garlic Yours looked like mine! TFS ❤😊

I took the bone out of the pernil and butterflied it and used the same seasonings even the Lawrys let it sit over night.Baked it the next day .Amazing.Thank you Queen . Lawrys 👍🏾

Goya makes a no-salt added Sazon. I recommend Kingsford (the charcoal brand) Salt-Free All Purpose Original Seasoning. It has a BBQ flavor💜
i will check out that seasoning. im not a fan of Adobo b/c i feel like its basically garlic salt with a touch of oregano. i like that the casero has more in it.

@@tamevauch5948 Of course! Also, fill a pan with water and place it in the bottom corner of the oven. This will create steam and hopefully keep the chicken moist! I learned that trick from my old PR cook book. 😊

I really like fresh garlic in place of garlic powder. Any reason that wouldn’t work here?
So, I personally don’t enjoy fresh garlic when it’s baked, but feel free to substitute powdered garlic for fresh!
