I explain how protein deficiency develops and how you can remedy it.
    Timestamps:
0:00 Protein deficiency can impair your health
1:45 I explain the reasons you need to consume protein
6:40 Here is why someone develops a protein deficiency
9:40 There’s an interesting product that’s 8 different amino acids, with no other ingredients
You may have a protein deficiency. Here are the symptoms, and I’ll discuss why you can become protein deficient.
    First, here are the symptoms:
    ● Frequently sick
    ● Delayed healing
    ● Lack of muscle growth
    ● Poor recovery
    ● Weak connective tissue
    ● Bone loss
    ● Low neurotransmitters
    ● Low hormones
    ● Low enzymes
    ● Can’t detox
    ● Allergies and chemical sensitivities
    ● Poor sleep
These are the general symptoms; and, a deficiency isn’t always about not eating enough protein.
Why do you need to consume protein? Well, to get the amino acids which are the building blocks of protein. You need amino acids for muscle repair and as a precursor for neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin, and adrenalin.
Amino acids also supply the material for biological proteins. I’ll explain. Proteins you consume that turn into body tissue go way beyond hair, nails, skin, and muscle. They include making the enzymes that help with digestion, detoxification, and hormones. And your DNA is made from protein.
The amount of protein from different food categories that actually gets turned into body tissue may surprise you. It can range from 6 percent to 49 percent. Protein stimulates insulin to some degree, but it also stimulates the opposing hormone glucagon. Eggs are at the top of the list. But the remainder of the percentage is wasted. I bet you didn’t realize that!
The primary reason you develop a protein deficiency is low stomach acid, a common condition with aging or eating poorly. I recommend taking apple cider vinegar or betaine hydrochloride. Other causes are inflammation, being an athlete, gut damage, having SIBO or insulin resistance, which keto and intermittent fasting will help reverse. Liver or kidney damage, gastric bypass, and heart damage also contribute.
I linked below to an interesting product that’s 8 different amino acids, with no other ingredients. In tablet form. I recommend it for any of the conditions I discussed. 99 percent of it turns into body tissue. The amino acids are the right ratios for maximum efficacy and absorb in 23 minutes.
If you have a protein deficiency, you can see how your health could be impaired.

Try eatin more protein ALONE - apart from carbohydrate sources, so that your body has enough resources to make enzymes for protein digestion. Also, give it time. If still not cleared, try HCL-betain AND protease enzymes with your protein meals. I had the same issues, and it took time for me to my body to start really breaking down and absorbing the proteins. HCL+protease enzymes helped a lot.

I Started IF after seeing these videos. I recently went through an emotionally painful divorce. Last year around December i was the heaviest I’ve ever been. 245 pounds. I’m 6’4” tall and everything told me i was fat. (Especially my clothes). I’m down to 196 pounds and feel healthy but i can’t gain muscle to save my life. I jump rope, can finally skip for 35 minutes straight without stopping but my calves are so small. I’’be just bought this supplement and will weigh in soon to see if it helps me build muscle mass. I also think i suffer from adrenal fatigue and cortisol issues but will wait on that supplement because these all get sooooo expensive. If these amino acids help my body feel stronger I’ll give the other stuff a try. Thank you to dr berg for having all this amazing information out there. I’m the healthiest I’ve been at 45 than ever, (i just want to build a little muscle because i look like a flag pole)

If soy is so poorly absorbed as a protein, what effect has soy nutrition, that many babies had rather than breast milk, had on these children as adults in terms of hormones, body composition, and obesity?

    • @Brockt87
      @Brockt87 4 роки тому +2

A quick google search of natural medicine’s view on soy formula should give plenty of information. It’s said to impair hormone function body composition etc. often for life in many cases. This could explain the extremely high numbers of even very young men w low testosterone, compared to decades ago.

This is information I needed, I will be ordering those amino acids. I had to laugh at first, I saw a space between the "f" and "t" and thought the first symptom was "sick of ten." I like 10. 8 is kind of a jerk but 10 is a good guy... lol!
Whoah! I just went to buy them, realized that is $35 for a 6 day supply, not a month. I just cannot afford $150 a month for supplements, I hope you will do another video giving advice on how to get those improvements with food.

Nope. I have followed Berg's channel / advice for about 2 years now and have enjoyed tremendous improvements in health. What he describes in this video is spot on for some of the issues I face. He is trying to make a living, I do not begrudge him that. I just cannot afford this. I said something because he DOES care and i will bet you he will make a video about getting amino acids in foods. Watch. Berg is like 10, a good guy... lol!

I have a question regarding muscle building and insulin response.
Isn't it actually desirable that your insulin is spiked when you try to build muscle? I use a whey isolate with zero carbs and I drop a spoonful of coconut oil into it for an after-workout drink. This in accordance with a sub 20g daily carb intake (most days probably less than 10g).
I know insulin tells you to "store", but isn't muscle building also a "store operation"?

    • @MrSimplySuperb

Been there, done that. People, eat more protein. If you aren't doing 1.6g/kg of your own bodyweight and you are active, training, then you are most likely under-eating protein. No 0.8-1.2g/kg is NOT enough as per latest meta-review of protein intake study (2017), unless you are small, sedentary, young and you have perfect digestion and perfect protein source (complete protein, high protein assimilation score).
