Its why i love khysallis gear since you can just sub the gear that you arent getting dropped in darkmoor and move on in the game.

Honestly agreed khyrsallis gearset is slept on, love the fact you included it as an alternative gear. I agree with most of your takes, though I would say if final fight for novus didnt take forever to farm, merciless gear wouldnt be a contender. Like if it was easy to farm, hands down aeon gear is what I would reccomend for everyone since it allows offschooling/ second damage type of any school with almost more then merciless gear stats. edit this means non deaths can socket death pins and change all of the damage to death and spam ship of fools for health when needed.
great list as always, only thing for me is i would put KL village a lil higher cuz i’m leveling a balance atm, and having that amulet with a feint at level 25 was super broken and carried me thru arc 1 very easily on solo
Was playing wiz after taking a break for a few months and was looking for recommendations for gear and i have to say youre channel its always informative.
I’ve made multiple maxes however idk if everyone would agree with me, I always do 1 run of olympus for the exp and that’s it, then (I highly recommend this if you plan on making multiple chars or just want crafting) winter tusk crafted gear saves the time of having to deal with shit waterworks droprates. I don’t do any of the other Aquila dungeons and skip to darkmoor, then I get 125 for cabalist and skip catacombs since aeon gear is extremely easy to farm (at least the final dungeon) as well as dropping pierce jewels you’ll be able to farm the rest of aeon with the added pierce and resist. I did catacombs for my first 2 chars but realized it’s basically useless unless your soloing on a hard school with no good pet

My death wizard is still using the crafted Khrysalis robe and heavily jeweled athame at level 150 (along with alpha/omega ring, and Cabalist hat and boots from the bazaar). There are alternatives for those who don't like to grind for gear.

I would really only recommend farming catacombs if you have a crafting wizard and just getting the vanguard boots, the enchant card is kinda nice tbh and its a good stat upgrade but farming is such a pain
Having farmed all the malistaire sets for every school the wand and hat are definitely worth it the entire set is definitely better than mount Olympus (resist and damage increase) and it allows you to get other school damage and critical for storms that means life critical for heals or for low damage schools it's 55% critical on a secondary school and 50+ damage or split for pierce so my ice has fire secondary for easy farming with meteor and ice bosses going through to darkmoor which has good pierce
Celestia gear is easy to get and at 4 items, you get monstrous. Depending on how early you get it, its completely insane. Compared to the 100 at 50. The extra 75 base damage is more helpful than people realize. Imo its a C. The oddball part of it is that 56 and 58 you get your glass cannon gear which is better

In regard to the Dragonspyre world gear, some of the wands are actually better for some wizards as opposed to the Sky Iron Hasta. Balance, for example, while it may not get a damage increase from the Sky Iron Hasta, it does get pierce which starts to help against Balance resisting enemies in Celestia and beyond. Storm, Death, Myth, and Fire all get anywhere from 1-3% extra damage over the Hasta, whereas Life and Ice get reduced damage. So I do see farming Malistaire as a necessary evil if going for Min-max loadouts but I do agree with you that farming Dragonspyre world gear is not necessary for a more casual playthrough.

So Im excited to reach Level 160.

winter tusk crafted gear is amazing I maxed a death wizard and crafted the full ice and myth set for my other wizards speeds the process a lot you basically don't have to farm if you got a high wizard
I would love to farm out gearsets on my 170s to make leveling my others a little less of a headache, but ever since KI added the badge lockout system...I just haven't played on my lower levels at all. And I just really don't wanna farm things like Waterworks and Darkmoor anymore, especially at level. Crafted gear could've been a good alternative but they really need to adjust some of these crafting recipes for the end of world gear that aren't the current end world. Like, I should NOT have to farm bosses to get 9 drops of a robe to craft the better version when it's not even endgame anymore. Maybe knock it down to needing 3 per recipe.
Honestly the most annoying thing about the krok or rattlebones exalted duels is you cant just farm it over and over. You have to spend time farming for the actual housing item just to have a CHANCE to get the single drop you want. So basically farming with extra un-needed steps.

Id argue against your take on krokopatra hat and rattlebones robes. They are comparable and for some schools outright (although marginally) better than darkmoor. The krokopatra exalted boss is insanely easy, even soloable, but the exalted duels themselves can be tedious to acquire. The rattlebones exalted duels are insanely easy to farm (a dozen in half an hour) and yeah the exalted boss fight is much harder than krokopatra but even with only two on-level wizards it should still not take any longer than a fully queued darkmoor run
With the merciless gear, storm can have max accuracy without the need of the Darkmoor robe. I have almost all merciless on my storm, and I prefer to have more damage, pierce, and resist with a decrease in accuracy. I wouldn't have made the trade to the merciless robe if I couldn't get max accuracy.
I think that depending on the schhol dragoon gear is very beneficial epscially for life, ice and balance. Storm and fire have the stats to survive until 150 to keep darkmoor gear. For death and myth its 50/50
DIsagree hard. The stats are very beneficial, yes, but going out of your way to farm a MINIMUM of 10+ hours for gear instead of questing and getting to the next gearset just isn't worth it.
Where do you farm the khryaslis gear at? Is it a boss or a dungeon? Or just mobs in the world. Im a returning player, I havent played in a couple years. I have a 135 storm and a 70 death wizard.
im still in the kinda early game at lvl 40 but mount olympus gear is great, i was stupid and teamed up for atlantea and yeah i got carried but since i cattered to more support it went pretty ok and the gear lvl drop for me was like 70+
The only gear id get at barkingham is the atheme and ring, they give decent pip chance, health and some school specific damage, other than that just use bazaar gear
only bad opinion was the Krok and Rattlebones opinion. For most schools, Darkmoor is not even worth doing. Death, Ice, Balance, and Life, just to name a few, are better than Darkmoor, along with using professor's hoarde pack boots. A lot quicker too.

So as far as I'm aware, the new Hall of Heroes fight has been changed, the easy version is dropping next to nothing, and the hard version was made harder by adding PvP rules for some godawful reason. So I'd definitely put Merciless down to at least A. Apart from that (and I still think Dragoon is C), I agree with the list

Hi Noah ......... I need urgent advice. I'm attempting to get the deer knight death jewel of recipe which requires 2 irons. The iron makes me tear my hair out. I used up all of my pyrite reserves for transmuting it into iron, and used up all of my iron reserves as well. Didnt get the jewel after quite a few attempts, and now im clueless. I am not a brain damaged psychopath that would farm 200 stone blocks for double transmuting, first into pyrite then pyrite into iron, for a single jewel. Pyrite and iron can be dropped but its rare... am i missing an easier way?
noah could you make a video on gardening for mega snacks starting from rank 1 with couch potatoes, magma etc. it seems really confusing. i’m literally a noob when it comes to gardening. 😅
I should have a gardening guide video somewhere, but i don’t know how good it is. Gardening honestly isn’t that hard, it’s just a matter of ranking up from harvesting plants, buying better spells, rinse and repeat. Only thing i can think of that would be helpful is that certain plants grow faster when housing items are near them, and every plant grows 15% faster in the red barn farm
not sure how much you've played of the new update, but the fractal aeon robe is 100% better than the storm darkmoor robe. the darkmoor robe has finally ended its 9 year rein over the best storm robe lol.
Didn’t include pack gear since in almost no case is it worth it. As I mentioned at the beginning, I didn’t consider raid gear since most players won’t go for it considering how few general players do raids.

As i said, the only reason it’s as high as it is. If every school had a similarly broken amulet it’d be a tier or two higher.

at level 40 you should get a quest from private kinchley right near the world gate i believe

One gear set you forgot was paradox gear, I know is not the best but I do see some people run it

I should have a gardening guide video somewhere, but i don’t know how good it is. Gardening honestly isn’t that hard, it’s just a matter of ranking up from harvesting plants, buying better spells, rinse and repeat. Only thing i can think of that would be helpful is that certain plants grow faster when housing items are near them, and every plant grows 15% faster in the red barn farm

not sure how much you've played of the new update, but the fractal aeon robe is 100% better than the storm darkmoor robe. the darkmoor robe has finally ended its 9 year rein over the best storm robe lol.

What i did was farm until i could get Vanguard gear from catacombs (half the requirements) and just skipped dragoon and merciless into Aeon.

Yes that is how all gear is dropped in this game. You do the boss until you get the gear.
