It's getting to the point where I am no fun anymore, I am sorry Sometimes it hurts so badly I must cry out loud, 'I am lonely.' I am yours, you are mine, you are what you are, you make it hard Remember what we've said, and done and felt about each other, oh babe, have mercy Don't let the past, remind us of what we are not now, I am not dreaming I am yours, you are mine, you are what you are, you make it hard Tearing yourself away from me now, you are free and I am crying This does not mean I don't love you, I do, that's forever, yes, and for always I am yours, you are mine, you are what you are, you make it hard Something inside is telling me that I've got your secret. Are you still listening? Fear is the lock and laughter the key to your heart and I love you I am yours, you are mine, you are what you are And you make it hard, and you make it hard, and you make it hard, and you make it hard Friday evening, Sunday in the afternoon, what have you got to lose? Tuesday morning, please be gone, I'm tired of you what have you got to lose? Can I tell it like it is, listen to me baby It's my heart that's a suffering, it a-dying and that's what I have to lose I've got an answer. I'm going to fly away, what have I got to lose? Will you come see me Thursdays and Saturdays? What have you got to lose? Chestnut brown canary, ruby throated sparrow Sing a song, don't be long, thrill me to the marrow Voices of the angels, ring around the moonlight Asking me, said, she so free, how can you catch the sparrow? Lacy, lilting lyrics, losing love lamenting. Change my life, make it right, be my lady
Steven Sills was in love with Judy Collins when he wrote this song for her. I love how Sills sings in Spanish at the end. Don't know why their love didn't last, but Sills did marry at the end of his life and was happy. Reminds me how Graham Nash was in love with Joni Mitchell and wrote "Our house was a very fine house" for her. I don't believe Mitchell ever married but once in her early life. I think they split because she just wanted to keep creating in her life and being with him interfered with all that, haha.
This came out when I was 5 or 6. Unknown associated memories triggered by listening to it moves me to tears nearly every time. It has done this long before I understood the lyrics. Perhaps the flawless harmonies add to it.

I was just diagnosed with cancer. Im praying for healing. This song was posted by my senior picture in my year book , longer than u care to admit!
Freakin typos!!! Longer than i care to figure out or admit!
@@jazzsheepyhead3629 Will pray for your healing .Believe.

You are being cure, ...a polite order
Rest in Peace David. A huge presence in my life with your music.
fear is the lock and laughter they key to your heart, undoubtedly one of the finest songs ever produced, timeless classic
ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MASTERPIECES
Mine too! I just loved that album. I listened to it over & over.
It’s my second favorite song of all time and I am 67 years old. Great lyrics and incredible 3 part harmony!
Masterpiece is the word. Gorgeous work.
My heartsong ....all these years later at 68 it still stirs my soul
It's getting to the point where I am no fun anymore, I am sorry
Sometimes it hurts so badly I must cry out loud, 'I am lonely.'
I am yours, you are mine, you are what you are, you make it hard
Remember what we've said, and done and felt about each other, oh babe, have mercy
Don't let the past, remind us of what we are not now, I am not dreaming
I am yours, you are mine, you are what you are, you make it hard
Tearing yourself away from me now, you are free and I am crying
This does not mean I don't love you, I do, that's forever, yes, and for always
I am yours, you are mine, you are what you are, you make it hard
Something inside is telling me that I've got your secret. Are you still listening?
Fear is the lock and laughter the key to your heart and I love you
I am yours, you are mine, you are what you are
And you make it hard, and you make it hard, and you make it hard, and you make it hard
Friday evening, Sunday in the afternoon, what have you got to lose?
Tuesday morning, please be gone, I'm tired of you what have you got to lose?
Can I tell it like it is, listen to me baby
It's my heart that's a suffering, it a-dying and that's what I have to lose
I've got an answer. I'm going to fly away, what have I got to lose?
Will you come see me Thursdays and Saturdays? What have you got to lose?
Chestnut brown canary, ruby throated sparrow
Sing a song, don't be long, thrill me to the marrow
Voices of the angels, ring around the moonlight
Asking me, said, she so free, how can you catch the sparrow?
Lacy, lilting lyrics, losing love lamenting. Change my life, make it right, be my lady
Doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
¡Que linda! Me recuerda a Cuba
La reina de la Mar Caribe
Quiero sólo visitarla allí
Y que triste que no puedo.
¡Vaya!
O Va! O Va!
Doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Thank you.....reading the lyrics while they harnmonized was heaven!

@@nickismith4787 thanks!
Reminds me of my high school days and my first love.
RIP David Crosby
Saw CSN in the 70s...incredible show Absolutely incredible harmonies😊
Steven Sills was in love with Judy Collins when he wrote this song for her. I love how Sills sings in Spanish at the end. Don't know why their love didn't last, but Sills did marry at the end of his life and was happy. Reminds me how Graham Nash was in love with Joni Mitchell and wrote "Our house was a very fine house" for her. I don't believe Mitchell ever married but once in her early life. I think they split because she just wanted to keep creating in her life and being with him interfered with all that, haha.
I LOVE it!!! I am teaching myself to play it on my guitar 😮!! What FUN!!!😀😊
Fantastic Song 🎵 👌
If it wasn’t for my older sister I may never have been lucky enough to grow up with this wonderful music.
My late Brother, Bobby, introduced me to CSNY.
God Bless You and your sister. This is the great music some of us were blessed to grow with ✌️
The lyrics take on a new meaning when you think of his affair with blue eyed Judy Collins. Grateful for all his great music.
You're not kidding, it certainly clears up any doubt about that old saying, "ignorance is bliss"
This song IS about Judy Collins : )
He played it for her. She told him was a pretty song, but she was not getting back with him. She was a beauty back in the day.
This came out when I was 5 or 6. Unknown associated memories triggered by listening to it moves me to tears nearly every time. It has done this long before I understood the lyrics. Perhaps the flawless harmonies add to it.
Such Top shelf Musicianship and Writing. I'm so thankful I grew up in this time to know and appreciate this. America is another group that comes to mind as well. stellar!!
JUST AN AMAZING SONG..!!
The HARMONIZING IS CAPTIVATING..!!
ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS..!!
THIS MASTERPIECE FULLY DEMONSTRATES THE GREATNESS OF CROSBY, STILLS & NASH..!!
😊💙🎸🎼🎸❤️😊
Heavenly harmonies from these guys...I've been in 2 groups that feasted on these gems from CSN (Y)...I'm always the high harmony (Graham Nash part)! RIP David Crosby.
Voices of the moonlight.
Growing up in commissioned housing in Scotland during the 70's, we loved Madness and the Specials and all things Ska and Northern Soul but thanks to the Internet and Travel, we can appreciate music in a broader horizon. Thank you Stills for the music. Thank you Nash for leaving the Hollies and Thank you Crosby for the best voice Eva, bring on Young, You Dancer 🤘
What a collaboration! These guys were something else.
Listening now to this tune in condolence to David Crosby's passing.
This is my morning coffee starter🎉 a lot of days. Aroma's and harmony. God dawns in great smells and sounds!!
Words we guys wish we had said to that one special girl who got away.
My favorite song ever 😊Rest in Peace David Crosby

RIP legend David Crosby. CSNY were one of the very best concert experiences we had at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in NY.
Every time I hear this, it's like hearing it for the very first time!!
Glad I got to see them in concert in 2004.
