      I'm going through exactly the same, had a back surgery 14months ago, ciatica got damaged so left leg is still at 80ish percent of strength and takes longer to recover, taking vitamins B1/6/12 for nerve recovering, swimming a lot, walking and ofc cycling, mostly enduro and DH, no issues at all, so yeah, he can do the Swiss Epic as long as he pays attention to his body

      @@winters3 No. This is a platinum version of model 3 dc. 10200g on their web. This wheelset is not the lightest either, about 1400g. So This bike is likely about 11kg (which is very good for a flight attendant + dropper).
      9.4kg is the lightest version of this bike with no dropper, no flight attendant, lighter fork, lighter suspension and with absolute minimum amount of parts on it. There's no going down from 9kg without taking parts off.
      Below 9kg is doable, but it means thin nylon spoke carbon rims, absolute lightest suspension setup (fox 32 SL), no dropper, etc... It would be light but also quite fragile.

    Some of this dude will throw bunch of expensive parts in their bike and they be like "this bike is soo good" without them knowing how to setup suspension etc., Money will buy you the good experience to the point you get used to it and can't blame the bike because it was top spec.

    • @mikexkennedy
      @mikexkennedy Місяць тому

      Totally get you. We called them credit card builds when I worked retail. Somebody coming in and just buying the most expensive parts because they thought that expensive = better. Then you get some mish-mash of parts that don't work well cohesively. Not too bad on road bikes, but MTBs with suspension, wheels, brakes, gears all having to work well together on harsh terrain is a nightmare to troubleshoot and tune.
