Hearing a championship level endurance athlete out of breath at the top of a small mountain bike climb makes me feel alot better about basically having a heart attack everytime I ride 🤣 Great Video!
different type of fitness too. our team had a triathlete play a 7v7 football match and was totally knackered by half time. but it also makes me feel a bit better. haha
Looks like I've got to learn how to jump now. Most of my previous mountain biking didn't involve jumps. Mainly because there was much to jump. Now my mountain bikes are more capable. I need to learn now. Conor has given me a reason to learn. Can't be out done by a roadie.
So much fun to watch! Both feeling Blake's unwavering positivity and seeing Connor's excitement build was genuinely fun to watch. Love this content, cheers!
I like how obviously genuine Conor is about how much fun he's having. I've never seen him have this much fun riding a road or gravel bike on GCN. Shows why MTB is superior.
This video for me captures everything I love about cycling. No matter if it’s road/gravel/mtb people can come together in this beautiful sport, and have great fun playing about on bikes ❤️ great video guys 💪🏻
I’m so glad you showed that it CAN be broken down to the most basics of the required movements. I remember just a few years ago that the videos for jumps and drops were like 20 minutes of how-to-manual, how to just speed, how to……… and the videos were mind numbing. Keep it simple.
Nice one boys. Conor was doing some really nice jumps in there. That trail jump, he's going to nail that in a couple of goes. Blake is definitely the right guy to get him jumping. I would love to see them both doing gravel side by side once Blake has mended and Conor has some more jumps under his belt.
Great tuition definitely goes a long way! Been hitting table tops trying to jump for years lucky if I get 1/2 a foot of the ground 😂 Cheers Blake, well done Connor! 😁
On that fourth run though you can actually see him tuck and flatten out the bike over the first two table tops. forgot it after that but he is only learning. This is skills that Robbie McEwan had from his BMX days, and there were times where you saw him jumping traffic Island in The Tour
My 8 year old daughter smoked them on Verderer's dragon's tail when she was meant to be giving him instructions on where to pump and compress. Their legs and arms were shot on my eeb! We did get him doing 10 laps of the pump track and basics on weight transfer and cornering
Holy crap!! Peter Jackson is doing Mtb videos, almost expected Gandalf to pop out from behind a tree and cast an airtime spell 😂😂😂 YOUUU SHALL NOT CRASH !!!
Connor is a great guy. Looks a bit like a dad riding his 6 year olds bike, but a great bit of fun for sure! **Edit: guess they can't call him the albatross anymore, he took flight!
Where are these jumps on the freeminers trail ? Are they on the small medium or long loop I’d love to show my mates this spot next time we are here to help them jump 😊
How do people land with their bikes parallel with the landing? Like back tire higher than front? Do you push down onthe bars or does it just happen naturally with momentum?
It’s something you get a feel for over time. You do extend your arms to find the landing but it doesn’t feel like it, you aren’t really trying and pushing hard it just sort of happens naturally. It can change a lot based on the shape of the takeoff/landing and how much speed you’re carrying but you’re not really thinking about all of that and more so just naturally reacting. When you spot the landing. It’s sort of like cornering where if you’re thinking too hard about it and staring at every detail on the berm you’re gonna crash but if you look at the exit of the berm and focus on that your body will find its way to it and the more reps you get it sort of just happens. Best thing is to not overthink it IMO and loosen up like Blake kept saying you don’t want to be overthinking everything and tight you want to stay somewhat controlled but relaxed.
Part 2, Welcome back you beautiful people, today we're gona get Connor down this dual slalom course. We'll time him on the first run and the last and see how much we can improve...
Thanks
Thank you for your support!

It was cold out 😅

We all get out of breath. It's how you react to it that sets your level.... ❤ Deffinatly nice knowing these guys are human tho.
He was a pro. After retiring and not training you can loose your Fitness very fast. I guess he's a average road cyclist nowadaya
Blake’s enthusiasm is so contagious. He’s a awesome teacher.
They have been talking about doing this video for a while, so he knew that Conor was commited to learning!
Blake's kids grow so fast!
He just keep feeding me weetabix!
Might be the happiest I've seen Conor. Bring him back for more!
This type of content is amazing!
The laughs, the genuine happy and excitement from both. Awesome
Thank you.. so much fun filming this one. Loved getting out with blake in the woods!
Blake turned that nice road-riding UK lad into an animal that craves air..
Another one saved!
@@TheFuel89 haha bloomin love it!
He's (Irish) Irish.
that walking shot on the sloping pathway was unkind to Blake's height
Don't know what you're talking about 😅😉
@@gmbn @2:16 😂
Watching those two walk next to each other feels like a Cycle version of Gandolf and Frodo.
can't wait to get my first mtb and do all these, my wish this year *big big hope!*
Everyone needs a Blake in their life ❤
Thank you for always making sure Connor stood on a higher piece of ground just to make the height difference really apparent.
Don't know what you're talking about 😅🫣

Great great teacher, and great "student". Fantastic content and vibe. Thank you.
Good to see the way he's smiling at the end. That's what mountain biking is all about.
Would love to have a Playground and Teacher like that!
Yeah... I was pretty spoiled wasn't I !!
Sign me up when Blake brings his jump class to the U.S. That was awesome guys. Owen's turn now Blake
GCN: obsess over calories, wats, ftp, nutrition, aerodynamics, kudoses, grams. GMBN: lets fly baby!
Just Remember the Job done on Hank by Blake for the Megavalanche, quite impressive so he has form. Great Teacher.
When Hank was unattended and hit the jump at warp-speed and landed to flat? 🤣
Hank and Blake are the dream team.
The best video for a beginner 💚💚
Glad it was helpful!
Hillarious David and Goliath scene 2:25 😂
The deliberate positioning

Hoping to get Blake out for a proper gravel adventure when he is all mended! Thanks for watching, appreciate the comment! Conor

Keep at it! You'll get it 😁
@ will do cheers! 👍
12:57 blake looks like a kid 😂
Would love to see more of these 2. Great energy and good tips.
Learning to jump without proper protection for a beginner, only with Blake 😅 Great video!!
The highest of high fives! That was a fun watch. Great to see Conor expanding his horizons!
I haven't had been so engaged in a video like this before fair play i was buzzing for him too🎉🎉
You can tell that Blake is a really good man with that watery eye thing. God bless mate.
Part 2 please bigger jumps, this was epic :)
What would you like to see him learn?
Drops! @@gmbn
Absolutely awesome job, Conor. Great teaching, Blake. Gosh Conor is tall.
if they ever remake Gullivers Travels you two should audition
😂
hahaha on bikes!!!
The red skills line is a great start for progression.
So many smiles man! Yall havin way too much fun!
You inspire confidence Blake 🤛
Loved this. Loved how they got blake on the downwards slope at the start to 😂
On that fourth run though you can actually see him tuck and flatten out the bike over the first two table tops. forgot it after that but he is only learning. This is skills that Robbie McEwan had from his BMX days, and there were times where you saw him jumping traffic Island in The Tour
When you gave him a hug, it looks like a dad hugging his young son 😂
It's a miracle he didn't hit his head on a branch in the air
The courage is what takes us to actually do it
love this jump line im a 53 year old learning too 😄
Thanks gentlemen for the training tips awesome can't wait for spring, having to deal with snow for now, hate the winter
Blake has to look up to talk to him 😂😂.
That's really tickled me 😂
That's one tall dude!
First jumping tutorial video where I see someone talking about what you should do in case you're casing.
Have you ever taken a non-MTB friend riding? How did they get on?
Sure did, he will be buying one too next month. :D
I took my friend to the dirt jumps and he hit it off like a pro clearing the landing.
@@JenDekorte did he manage to land okay?

my girlfriend. we are still together😂
your a good coach blake i hope someday you teach me
He’s a giant!
Conor is a beast!
Blake is infectious
The Best Average humanoid size to MTB with Shred ive found is 5'7" thru 6'1"ish..
I've many an old compadre closer to 5' 10/6'1"...
Oh my what I see! Teaching how to jump and bringing GCN guy! Like in advance
Top tip for Blake next time you two do another video. always stand on the higher side of the hill! 😅
Jumping is easy - it's the landing that you need to worry about XD
so true!
not really, if you mess up the jump, your gonna land bad no matter what you do.
Blake looks like Connor's kid when they walk next to eachother :D
I was hoping for 'Brother-In-Law Nigel to make an appearance at the end, clearing a huge jump, like after Conor's day of learning to do a wheelie.
He is so tall 😄 and killing it 💪
Holy crap!! Peter Jackson is doing Mtb videos, almost expected Gandalf to pop out from behind a tree and cast an airtime spell 😂😂😂 YOUUU SHALL NOT CRASH !!!
Fly, you fools 😂
Love seeing Connor get out of his comfort zone 😂
Plot twist: Conor just wanted to know how to add air to his shocks but is too polite to correct Blake.
I love how Connor is usually standing uphill from Blake 😂
Good work converting an roady!
would be cool to see a 1 year update
Well done Conor!👌
We're proud of him!

Go giraffe and squirrel! 😂❤
Hahaha 😂 great video🤙🏾

I’d love to show my mates this spot next time we are here to help them jump 😊
They're pretty near the start, when you're climbing from the first fire road, can't miss them!
I’ve seen this movie before. They leave the Shire, bearing the ring to Mordor.
If you want to learn how to jump you're going to have to put your shoulder into it😂❤
It's easier for this guy: that 29er is like a BMX for him :)
A few times. It’s great.
Hi. Where is this trails please. I have searched. With no clear results.
My 2 fav bn boys!
Conor makes the 29er look like a bmx

I need a Blake to teach me!
Blake you look like a toddler next to that big human !
ur at FOD i know this bcs i have a video of him crashing on the rock drops at the start
where is this?
I am glad the big unit did not have a crash. Well done.
Long way to fall! He did great
Hank is sooooo tall...🤣
Hey Blake, which UK bike park was this filmed at please buddy??
This was at Forest of Dean
Gandalf and Frodo go for a bike ride
Reminds of the movie Twins....lol
You somehow managed to always have Conor stand higher than Blake, exaggerating the height 😛
It's like Gandalf and the hobbit 😂
Don't overthink it. 🤔 Doing alternatives away from the bike is great but don't fret if you don't. 😊
Blake you look like a "Hobbit" next to "Daddy long legs"!😂
I wish I could be taught by you!
👍🏻🙂
