    To eat: fatty fish, coconut oil, seaweed, fiber, fruits and vegetables,sprouted seeds.
    Avoid: broccoli, kale, Brussels sprouts, tap water, gluten, wheat, barley, sugar, soy, tofu, edamame, pasta, cereal.

      Am allergic to iodine! So nothing from the water that means no seaweed or any type of fish, shellfish whether from the ocean or fresh water.

      To me this is sad cos I have an underactive thyroid & am also a fussy eater so in the foods to avoid I do drink tap water (which I never knew you have to avoid) I also eat pasta & cereals, as for the rest I don’t eat any of them cos as I said I’m a fussy eater, have been my whole life 😔 & now I have to avoid the foods I like eating, it doesn’t give me much choice of foods I can eat if I’m fussy, I do try & eat gluten free products as I have IBS as well

    Cumin seeds tea, sprouted wheat and lots of ginger and garlic. Also couple of exercises helped me to beat my hypo. About vegetables, it's a lie. I ate a lot of them, just barely boiled, till they still crispy. I ate less sugar and completely cut out any oils besides the coconut oil. No fried foods, just baked and boiled. Hope it helps.

      @@mayamcqueen1144 you can use olive oil. As long it's cold pressed and organic. Only little bit on salads. The best oil is flaxseed oil. Organic, that don't taste bitter. If it's bitter it's no good.

      @@NonieTT you have to lay down, lift your all body up in the air support with your shoulders. Stay like that 15 seconds 2x daily. Helps to increase circulation, which is much needed for your thyroid. Also slight brushing with tips of your fingers over your neck.

    This is the quick 411 on the video. However, there was some good information on each in the video..so it was worth watching.
    Eat:
    1. Fish
    2. Coconut oil
    3. Seaweed
    4. High fiber foods
    5. Fruits and vegetables
    6. Sprouted seeds
    Avoid:
    1. Cruciferous vegetables
    2. Tap water
    3. Gluten
    4. Sugar
    5. Soy

      That was an interesting question and I sincerely appreciate it. However, if I may just add and this is from my own personal experience I can't speak for anyone else I've been experiencing hypo and hyper thyroidism for quite a while along with the goiter and I can tell you that it was at times painful and extremely uncomfortable. Other cases may be more so psychosomatic but again this is just from my personal experience. Have a great day wishing you happiness and healing.

      In the US alone we have 40 Million pp suffering with thyroid issues, don't feel alone. Eat healthy, eliminate all junk food and practice some sport, even a 30 min walk can make a big difference each day. Good luck!

      I'm 15 and haven't eaten breakfast or lunch since 7th-grade bc I would gain weight. It was always so hard for me to lose weight bc I would literally have to barely eat after my body got used to not eating breakfast and lunch. I'm trying to lose weight now but I think it's more of an obsession and I'm scared bc I don't want it to be an eating disorder I just can't lose weight unless I do this.😑 I hate this thing too.

      @@taetae_stay2519 Your T3 maybe low. Please look into a natural path. They can definitely get you the help you need. They do take health insurance and they are not expensive. Good luck. My daughter has it too and she was 11 but now 15. It was a struggle for her too but a whole new girl. A story of hope for you.

      U can eat them in moderate amount just don’t eat them raw . I am hypo and I am not sensitive to gluten but after stop eating gluten , and dairy for whole year I can see big difference. Also we have take some supplements as well they should be gluten and dairy free . Btw test your iodine first before taking any supplements . This can be life threatening.

    I’d Never eat canola oil...it’s as bad for us as any corn or safflower oils ever were. But avoiding cruciferous veggies was a surprise...it’s supposed to be one of the main foods to avoid...cancer , gut problems, etc. I’ve been gluten free and soy protein free for about 10 years so guess that helps but I’m still hypothyroid. .... I found an advisory vid from a real dr. that says don’t take calcium supps within 4 hours of taking your thyroid meds as calcium interferes with the med working as it was supposed to...and that was mainly about the thyroid meds of Liothyronine and Levothyroxine. So that can take a lot of schedule juggling but worth it. That will make your tests come out right so you get the right a amounts of those meds and not show under need still and get assigned too much more of those meds.

Unless have access to internet to google goitrogens fruits but how about without internet and ur unknowingly eating all these fruits? Thanks

      The general answer is no. Unless your thyroid function is already impaired, you don’t need to limit your intake of foods that contain goitrogens.
      What’s more, when these foods are cooked and consumed in moderation, they should be safe for everyone - even those with thyroid problems
      Incidentally, most foods that contain goitrogens also happen to be quite nutritious.
      Therefore, the small risk from goitrogens is far outweighed by other health benefits.
      Cook goitrogenic vegetables: Steaming, cooking, or fermenting can reduce the levels of goitrogens. 1 If you like fresh spinach or kale in smoothies, try blanching the veggies and then storing them in the freezer for later use

      I think Quinoa was mistranslated as Canola. Quinoa is no-gluten grain. Canola is oil, not grain.

    since last September 2022. Then last April 27, 2023 my TSH result was 3.99 And then month of feb 27, 2023 my TSH result was 2.99 but this month it goes higher like 16.99. very scary?

    I have hypothyroidism. However it was always 4.5 on the TSH scale for 15 years avg! It went to 7 before I started meds. Male 50-65 and I started taking porcine(pig) thyroid. My TSH is now 2.8 taking 32 mg tabs. In all my previous years I did test the foods and fish is important. However be careful of to much Iodine and kelp as it seemed to make my condition worse! Soy no good and go light on brokoli, cabbage and brussels but eat them! I eat a lot of spinach. Bread is full of processing chemicals not listed and the old breads from the 60's back were better for us all! If you must take meds synthroid is all the doc will prescribe. You may have to buy your own porcine or bovine pills.

    I am told Gluten Free Diet strictly -
    No Cabbage, Cauliflower, Brocolli, Brussels, Soy ,Wheat, Barley , Bread, Pasta , Kale , Sugar ....... completely no no...

      Me too. Also no peanut butter. I am also Diabetic and allergic to iodine so no fish or shellfish. anything from the water also don't forget to say no potatoes of any sort. I get frustrated and am unsure what to eat.

      One can't go without eating carbohydrate~you add vegetables to them.
      2 slices of bread twice a week isn't bad . One can't die by avoiding all foods yet something will kill a man

    selenium; tyrosine; iodine drops; the great combo. use only 1 or 2 drops of iodine on tongue per day, though.

      Truth is know one knows not even doctors like my doctor knows about thyroid problems and rare auto immune diseases. I had to explain to my doctor about thyroid problems and I am the patient talk about nuts. I think that the thyroid and the brain gut gland and immune system and hormones have and still continue to be not fully understood by the medical world not even today. I have Thyroiditis due to a flu and tonsillitis at the moment and I feel terrible. You need to have a full vitamin and full t4 t3 tpo panel and anti body blood work up and test done and a MRI of the thyroid to truly work out what is going on.

      I find fruit has helped me the most with hypothyroidism. But you need to eat ALOT of fruit daily. This way you give your body a whole spectrum of nutritional value daily and you end up satiated.

    The wakame should be free of soy when consumed should it not? Most wakame in my asia market contains soy and soy inhbitis intake of thyroid medication.

    Ugh great. No wonder my stomach rejects so much! It's not fair!! I have hypo-thyroidism and I'm also lactose intolerant. So what should I eat to live? UGHH. Even eating a PB&J sandwich makes my stomach hurt severely for a good half hour afterwards. Almost every time I eat my stomach hurts afterwards. Thx for this video :(

      Sounds like you have a gluten issue. Try gluten free products. Try taking Lactaid before you eat dairy. I have these same issues, along with diabetic gastro pareses (Spell?).. it's not fun, but is easily managed. Try the FODMAP diet. Good books on Amazon to get

      @@chaitanyak8036 IDK if this helps but I switched to lactose free for dairy products, which taste just the same. I use honey instead of sugar (and sweetener as I think it tastes a LOT better and is healthier). I just recently tried making ice cream using a normal easy recipe of whipping eggs and cream, but replaced the sugar with honey, then added some real vanilla and mashed strawberries to taste. It came out great. So now I have lactose and sugar free ice cream. In fact going to buy more cream to make more tomorrow.
      I have given up on carbohydrates completely- first I just tried gluten free, now I stick to meat, fish, dairy, fruits, some vegs and nuts, and so far my digestion has gotten a lot happier. Doesn't complain as much as it did before. BTW- I tend to buy berries to nibble on; raspberries, blueberries, blackberries. A few a day of those pack a punch- and have a couple of strawberries in my lactose free yoghurt in the morning.

    i had operation last 2014 they took my thyroid out and am taking levothyroxin for life...my question is do i still need to avoid eating those kind of foods? or it doesn’t matter i can eat anything I want? thank youuuuu 🥰

      Gracelle Love Hi! the only thing I’ve noticed is i put on weight 😥 the only thing forme is I walked everyday coz i am a postlady without that propably i am more than size 14 before im in between 10 nd 12 🤣 i just need to be careful of what i eat i mean discipline....no time to do exercise toooo bz 😥 im not very happy since i had the operation but there’s nothing i can do now 😥 tnx

      @@loidaponciano7054 we should compare notes. I had my thyroid removed in 2007 and it changed my life for the worse. I'm on synthroid 200 mcg but I still have all the symptoms of no thyroid, just very depressing.

    None of this dietary advice doled out on the Web ever takes into account cost or availability. 'Wild caught fish', indeed! Have you any idea of the price even of the farmed variety here in Europe? And as for seaweed, I wouldn't even know where to start looking for it, not living anywhere near the sea. I do have a jar of coconut oil, which I bought for a particular recipe, but I really don't know how best to use it, and it was even more expensive than olive oil. I try to eat plenty of fuit and veg, and avoid sugary and fatty foods, but that's the best I can do with what's available at a reasonable cost.

    Thing is it’s all to do with the brain thyroid gland gut immune system hormones as they are all connected and revolve around each other and each need one another to work and if even one system is out of whack then all hell breaks loose. I have hypothyroidism and anxiety and depression and yes they are all linked how you might ask because hypothyroidism causes anxiety depression and panic disorder and other mental health problems and nerve problems and gut and hormone problems and even brain problems that one little thing in your neck causes so many problems when it’s not working properly or not working at all. Think of it as the brain is the master the shop owner manager and the thyroid the shop worker and the perpituary gland the over see who manages the workers for the manager and shop owner who keeps the daily flow of the work force moving. If the perpituary gland does not work properly or stops working completely then it is blind and cannot relay messages back to the thyroid if the thyroid is malfunctioning then it cannot send messages back to the thyroid to say when it needs the release of certain hormones and so it goes vice versa. A perpituary tumour can make the release of hormones chaotic affecting the thyroid. A thyroid issue can also cause hormone release to chaotic.
