In this Goes Wrong Along, the group watch The Lodge. They share behind-the-scenes gossip, their favourite moments and how they make stunts go wrong (or rather right).

In The Goes Wrong Show, the well-meaning amateurs of the Cornley Dramatic Society perform a half-hour play on BBC1 : a horror story, a wartime drama, a legal thriller, a period romance, a deep south melodrama and a Christmas fable. And every week, the performance goes terribly, terribly wrong. Sets collapse, special effects fail, actors dry - life, limb and the studio audience are threatened. But the show must go on… From the creators of The Play That Goes Wrong and Peter Pan Goes Wrong.
The Mischief team are one of the UK's leading improvised theatre companies. The group is formed of students and graduates from The London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA). The company of young, dynamic and highly skilled improvisers been training in performance improvisation since 2007 and the company was formed in 2008. Since then the group has performed across the UK, created new long-form and short-form show formats, received five star reviews, won awards and performed to thousands of people.

Isn't it worth mentioning that this is the only time Jonathon (Greg) has an excuse to not be able to get in (the door is actually locked) and yet is also only episode where he manages it?

He actually does get through in Harper’s Locket, doesn’t he? Right at the end, he gets through easily, looks immensely proud of himself, and then steps on a hoe or something.
@@jade_is_tiredcroquet mallet, yes. I propose the idea of a Jonathan's Law, kinda like Murphy's Law but specifically door related and with the caveat of being voided if there is something beyond the door also about to go wrong

You should get Cornley to react to them. It would be so funny. Max is probably really proud. Robert seemed to be getting more fed up of things going wrong as it went through so he'll be complaining. Chris will be excusing the mistakes.

Jonathan is cast as the innkeeper but he can’t open the door to let anybody into the inn so he has to sing the song whilst interacting with imaginary people

This is the best episode in the series. At least, this is the one I found the funniest. Had me in stitches. It's just really funny when a horror/thriller goes wrong. Feels a lot like The Murder at Haversham Manor.

Love this series. Saw Play That Goes Wrong and comedy about bank robbery early in 2018 and was in laughter all the way. Heard of this series, watched the series and was already crying at Henry playing a drunk Santa XD

With the Spice Girls top the other week and this, we love Charlie even more now!
To me this episode is two things. Dave's strut-walk and Henry's screaming descent into maddened laughter.
This is brilliant but Shields needs to be in this! And Briony and Greg and Nancy and basically everyone else in mischief!

In true Cornley fashion, I managed to book a ticket to see The Play less than two weeks before lockdown! It's in September, so hopefully the show will be back on by then.
But if it isn't, then ah well. Far more important that you all stay safe, and I appreciate you bringing us laughs in these difficult times

I was physically hurting from laughing so much during that section. The way Henry's laugh keeps escalating as you see the look of panic on his face as exit turns out to be unusable!
Caught a few episodes of this and absolutely loved it. There is a huge level of talented writing and acting in pulling this off, absolutely wonderful. I’ve also developed a huge crush on the gorgeous Charlie Russell😍😋👏

I know you just added the show to Amazon, as I have watched them all, but could you add these, or even better do full episode commentary with the Actors. These are really interesting.

At 0:24 The Beatles reference
You know, the Lodge episode shares some similarities to the plot of Disney's 2003 movie of "The Haunted Mansion". A family goes to a creepy home that is up for sale by the owner. The parents of two children: a daughter who's the oldest and their youngest is a boy (even though Vanessa's character in the episode is pregnant, they did say she's pregnant with a boy). A storm happens and they cannot drive away, so the family has to stay at the creepy home for the night. The home's owner's love interest died and he would do anything to bring her back. With this, the wife of the main character is being used in place for the owner's dead love interest. There is also a portrait of the love interest found by the main characters. The wife is considered to look like the dead woman. The owner's dead love interest also wears a white dress.
And while this fact is not part of the "Haunted Mansion" movie, the ride opened in the 1960s and this episode takes place in the 60s too.
I think it's cool that this episode has similarities to The Haunted Mansion. This episode is actually my favorite for season 1.

Their actor characters' relationship is actually part of the plot in Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Christmas Story Goes Wrong. I didn't know they were actually together until seeing this.

I liked the usage of Get Out in the 2020 Christmas special. Mr. Sayer doing 6 various alarm clock signals to download as alarm tones for your phone would be cool, one being Stay Asleep!!! would be fitting.
Just finding these - 2 years too late - and have already shared them with multiple people!
I find it a little odd though, that every time I see the title my brain wants to call it "The Gong Wrong Show"... and I just can't seem to get it right.
This sends me into a laughing fit at myself before the show can even begin well. So, is that good writing? Or me being an idiot? I don't know, but it's a fun time either way.

I'd love to know what was cut in the 4min, since so many of your bits get better and better as they build on eachother.
The laughing bit(s) in this episode just... Oh, man. I don't know if I have ever laughed so hard. Yes, it had to go as long and as hard as it did. Otherwise, it would have been annoying. Instead, it just reached absolutely absurdity into sheer bedlam. And I am here for it.
I found the Goes Wrong Show last year during lockdown and /cried/ from laughing. The Play that Goes Wrong is the only play on Broadway I’ve seen 3 times. Just utterly genius.
There was a cut scene where Dave Hearn’s character had to be bulging through a wall, but the elastic is too strong that it slung him out.
