Being a journalism and mass communication background student it's my duty to tell u that a degree can't be useless .....and if u r talking about journalism and masscom it's nt jst media that u can go into ....u r hired by different companies for different roles with a huge bucket of payscale that varies as per your talent so if u think this degree is useless then u should reconsider if u opted for right degree or nt

No. There are degree without which also you can get a job in that field. For example, psychology. It’s like a degree that people from all fields do and not just the doctors or practitioners. Such degrees can be called useless. Unless you have done PhD in that. But degrees like engineering, architecture, mbbs, etc are not useless in most cases.
My father always say that no degree or skilled earned after investing time is useless it's just that you haven't found a right way to utilise it properly to earn or benefit from it.

Engineering has given the strength to not freak out even during stress. Engineering taught me how to study the entire syllabus in one day and pass. Engineering taught me how to deal with failures. Engineering has indeed made me very grounded.

For job market, B.A is currently useless degree in India, I did B.A (distance) along with diploma in civil engineering and the main benefit of doing engineering is everything looks easy after it 😄I just study BA subject on one day before exam ,so yeah engineering is a best degree it helps u to be all-rounder ,

In India almost all degree is useless IF you don't know how to use that in real life. For example someone graduates from Mechanical engineering and now hired in Amazon in customer chat/call center department to communicate with customers in English. What's the point of doing Mechanical engineering for that ? Similarly someone might be pursuing some X degree in JNU. Society may think he/she might be doing research from JNU, but guess what !! The truth is he or she is preparing for civil services exams, nobody cares about doing research & development in India ? There are certain engineers or IITIANS in India who now opened their UA-cam channels and giving insights on technical stuff like which mobile phone is good and what are their features, they may sometimes criticize micromax, lava or various different brands ,and they got so much earning from UA-cam and sponsorship that UA-cam videos now becomes their major source of income, but here is a twist they don't have guts to make mobile phones by themselves, even though they had degree from relevant electronics branch. But their degree is now useless.
Still doesnt guarantee a job. One may have 200 other applicants better qualified, well connected and higher ranked etc. Odds arent in ones favour usually.

Any degree that does not give you reasonably good paying job, or it does not give you your sector specific job, meaning the job that you will eventually do after getting that degree, somebodys else without the degree is already doing it, then it's a useless degree, also suppose your degree does provide job, but is not in demand or the job prospects for that is not that Rossy and not growing, then it's useless too. As for what degree is useless, almost all Arts degree Ba and Ma included, barring Bca. All of bsc, cause it's job prospect is there but not as much. Journalism, it's a dying industry anyway. MBA and engineering from not a well known college. Also just because you can give government exam with any degree does not make it usefull, government has only put graduation as a minimum criteria for most jobs, because currently 10 lakh people apply for 300-400 jobs, if it allows 12th pass too, then that number would rise to crores, which government is shit scared off

Any degree that does not give you reasonably good paying job, or it does not give you your sector specific job, meaning the job that you will eventually do after getting that degree, somebodys else without the degree is already doing it, then it's a useless degree, also suppose your degree does provide job, but is not in demand or the job prospects for that is not that Rossy and not growing, then it's useless too. As for what degree is useless, almost all Arts degree Ba and Ma included, barring Bca. All of bsc, cause it's job prospect is there but not as much. Journalism, it's a dying industry anyway. MBA and engineering from not a well known college. Also just because you can give government exam with any degree does not make it usefull, government has only put graduation as a minimum criteria for most jobs, because currently 10 lakh people apply for 300-400 jobs, if it allows 12th pass too, then that number would rise to crores, which government is shit scared off
If u are no success full in your field so your degree is useless for you but realty is that degree never useless
