    Great video! Great products. I have not tried these yet as I treat my own roe but I have heard great things. Thanks for these tips. I plan on sharing this video with some friends who are looking for how-to videos for roe tying.

    Thank you very much for the useful information! And what color is better to use hooks when fishing with caviar sacs? is there any difference? Black nickel, red, gold, nickel, green...?

    Glad to see a decent looking jar of Pautzke "Balls o Fire". Most of the ones I've seen and heard about have been pretty rough looking. I was going to buy some online but after seeing some of the recent reviews I might just try to catch a hen.

      Hi Tom,
      It is true that when the jars sit on the shelf for more than a year they go bad, like all real, uncured trout eggs would. We would recommend purchasing them from a source that has fresh product. There's a lot of bad reviews on Amazon, because Amazon sold a lot of product they bought from a third party that was selling expired product. If you choose to use Trout Eggs make sure only to purchase enough for the season you are fishing and you'll be satisfied.

    What’s the difference between steelhead eggs and salmon? Does one work better then others. In my river salmon spawn before the steelhead, would you recommend salmon eggs or stick wit steelhead trout

      Size, smell, color. They are also cured differently. Both are effective, when presented properly.

    What's the recommended storage method for a bunch of pre-tied bags? I'm adding this to my arsenal which is usually just cured roe in a bait loop.

    I tied a bunch of your trout egg sacs for a trophy trout stream I am fishing this week but I didn't have the floaters. Any suggestions on the best way to fish them without the floaters?

    • @TeamPautzke
      @TeamPautzke  3 роки тому +1

      Paul, simply use them under a float:)

    Would the eggs turn white if you freeze them and thaw it for later use?

    • @nathanmcchristie3997
      @nathanmcchristie3997 3 роки тому

      Best to not freeze them but just put em in the fridge and cure them within 48 hours if they’re from a fresh fish

    I put my fresh tired bags in a container and went to use them they are soggy what do you do to prevent this?

    • @TeamPautzke
      @TeamPautzke  Рік тому +1

      Shane,
      The liquid in the Trout Eggs is a good thing. It keeps them from going bad. Cast away!

    You guys are all overdoing it with that paraxy cure it's good stuff it works for salmon great but with still head we found especially in the Western part of the state that the freshest eggs work the best freedom don't have the vacuum seal um open them up tie I'm up using with with no additives.
